Guys, there's no need for this kind of drama. No one insulted anyone, there was no "disrespect" or "attitude", people just had their own critique. TRUE_AMERICAN_GODZILLA you've been supplying fantastic posts to this forum for a long time (it'd be a huge loss if you left), just cuz a few of them haven't gotten so well, doesn't mean you suck, or people don't like it, etc. We all have those discussions that just don't go that well. 

I'm sorry if you see this as drama, but that was just plain out disrespectful to shoot down his ideas like that, and say they aren't good? how about constructive criticism? Where i come from that's what people are about. Not berating others for their different views or outtakes on things.

I'm assuming you're talking about Gman (the non-moderator one)? This was at the end of his last post on that discussion;

That my good sir, is what irked me. Y'all over here can have your opinions, but who are you to say his idea isn't worthy of being part of Godzilla? Oh right, no one. I said my piece, and i'm done.

He asked people their opinion on the matter and people told him. There was no ill intent or drama, he asked if the people on this forum wanted to see a realistic take on Godzilla and some people told him no, it was that simple, there's no need to apologize for giving my opinion to a thread asking how I felt about the matter. I could see if I was harsh or insulting, but no one on that thread was.

I don't think you understand what he was trying to say. All I know is, there wasn't a single point where I felt he was insulting anything. Only legit criticism, just cuz someone doesn't 100% approve of something doesn't mean they are disrespectful. The point of criticism is to help you improve, it's just as important as the work itself sometimes.

Guys, this is a case of making something out of nothing. I just skimmed through much that thread and from what I can tell he did indeed ask for people's opinions. They gave him their opinion. He defended his. Others defended theres. Now I'm not entirely sure why he felt the need to end his tenure in that thread, there was no flamming or direct disrespect, just normal, by-the-numbers, jagged, fan debate.

This is a franchise fandom fellas. People are going to disagree on things and they're going to disagree very passionately. Buck up. There was no remark in there that directly insulted True American Godzilla and he didn't directly insult anyone else. It was simply a heated debate-- And if you can't take the heat... run.

but, i do not care at the moment. What some said was insulting enough to TAG's post, that he felt the need to get them closed. Not only that thread either, i've seen that kind of stuff in previous threads and it's borderline ridiculous.

Tryna raise my 2 year old in a world where this kind of stuff isn't prevelant, and i get to an online community i thought i would like only to see that same thing? no thank you.

As am I, which is why I said I thought the days of fighting and arguing on here were over and was disappointed to see it yet again. I just mean that you shouldn't get that offended over that post since it was nothing compared to some threads from the past.

There wasn't any fighting on this forum. As I said it was simply disagreeing. This is like if I made a thread saying "Do you think Ebirah is awesome?" then saying that I do and after people say they don't making a thread telling people that they weren't respecting my opinion.

It's honestly been extremely blown out of proportion by gorillagodzilla. If you look on the actual thread in question there was nothing wrong with the responses and it was completely civil, to me it seemed like it got closed because true american godzilla realized most people wouldn't see the realistic godzilla as a true representation.

I agree with you 100%. I didn't really mean the disagreements, I meant people fighting BECAUSE they disagreed. AKA Carnosaur and Gorillagodzilla getting offended because people didn't agree with True American Godzilla, then making a big deal about it.

Also, when I saw this thread, I was thinking, "Oh, man, what happened?" And was shocked to see that really nothing offensive HAD occurred.

It's ironic because gorillagodzilla also disagreed with the original post. Seems like he was leaving the forum and wanted to make a big thread beforehand

To All Forum Members:

Why can't we all just respect eachothers opinions, most people here on the forums are good people, all the people I know on the forums respect everyones opinion but they are some that arent that nice. Like I said all the people I know respectful but I do know that sone people I dont know that arent as nice as the members I know. I hope we dont have a "T Rex vs Spino" argument where we dont respect eachother. I might think about leaving Godzilla forums and moving to JW Forums if this continues. I myself didnt see too many bad comments in True American Godzillas topic but there are still people who dont seen to respect peoples opinions on different things. (NOT POINTING FINGERS)

I guess I must prepare for incoming hate.

@Godzilla316 We do respect each others' opinion around here for the most part. For example, I didn't agree with the justification True American Godzilla gave for why his idea would work, but instead of simply complain about it, I tried giving some constructive criticism on how he could use that idea, and some other stuff about portraying unrealistic characters in realistic settings and whatnot :P

My oh my. So now you know how it feels to have one's opinion shot down without consideration. Ironically I've always thought you would be the last person to set up a thread topic like this telling others to be ashamed of themselves, when you are equally guilty of doing this to others. 

Having said that, I've read the alleged thread in question, I dun really see anything serious that demands such action from you. Instead of making a mountain out of a molehole, you ought to gather yourself together and learn to deal with this better than stating your intention to leave.

Thanks for complimenting me in my other topic but You say that you dislike it when people disrespect eachothers opinions. So I take it that you really are upset with yourself. You totally shot me down when I put up my opinion on Zilla. Im not a person to hold grudges but out of all people, I would expect you last to make a topic like this.
