3 months later

Serizawa observes MIST training with the Jaguar suits. He speaks to the
microphone.
-Ok, that will do it for today. Remove the suits.
They jump from the floor to a balcony and remove the helmet.
-I felt like my son playing with a new toy.-says Ford excited.-But what
surprises me mostly, is how light it is, it almost fells like regular clothing.
-But it is safe as a tank. Just watch out for frienldy fire with the M1BR. You
have seen how it cuts through concrete.-says Takashi.
-Ok, tonight, me and Elle would like you to have dinner at our place.
-Yay, free food!-says Goodnight laughing
-I can't see why not.-says Hammer
-Me neither.-says Heartbeat-We will need some relaxing before making a plan to
bust into Groom Lake.
-I can go as well, but I want to help.-says Takashi-Are you having a barbecue?
-Yes, but don't worry. I have a special technique cooking meat, you are going to
love it. We are eating at 8:30, so get there early or the only thing you will be
putting your teeth on is scraps.
-I can almost bet that Hammer here will go straight to your home to help in the
kitchen.-says Goodnight
Hammer laughs and punches Goodnight in the shoulder. Making Goodnight start
complaining about it.

3 hours later

Ford and Sam watch over the barbecue while Elle arranges the table. A jeep with
the rest of the MIST arrive and they all exit the vehicle. Ford introduces the
members to Sam and Elle.
-Tonight we are regular people, so I hope you remember the real names.-says
Hammer with a smile
-Yeah...-says Ford a bit disoriented while everyone laughs
The ambient is calm and festive. After a while, Hammer and Goodnight help Elle
making the final preparatives while Heartbeat tells stories to Sam. Ford watches
as Takashi approaches him.
-Perfect life huh?-says she
-Huh? Oh, yes, you're right. At least for now.
-Are you still worried about the exile? Relax. You made the right decision.
-Have I?
-Yes. Just imagine if you went with the FBI on that night. They would squeeze
everything you had or not to say to them, you have seen how they threatened Dr.Shinoda. They would be capable of doing the same with Elle and Ford.
-I just fell that my family needs stability above everything else.
-Now there is one thing I noticed about you. You feel like your family depends entirely on you, and with that, everytime you get scared, you panic entirely. You need to relax more.
-It is not just about that. You know what my father said to me before he passed away right here in Janjira?
-What?
-He told me to take care of my family, whatever it takes. From that moment, it grew from a normal obligation as a father and husband, to a debt.
-What do you owe to your father so much?
-15 years as a proper son. That is what I owe him.
-Just, relax. We will have this sorted out in no time. Tomorrow we will start planning the infiltration on Groom Lake and we need you to get it together.
-I will try.

Groom Lake
Nevada, USA
At the same time

Dr.Shiragami lies his back against the giant creature.
-Your know, Erika, I miss the days when monsters were nothing but a myth. But they are real. You are one now. They are going to use you like another bomb or rifle.
He looks to the floor, composed by a giant steel net that covers the incineration device below. He then looks at a button where the incinerator was activated in case of emergency.
-You hated violence. You even went to those hippie events where young people like you would tie themselves to trees to prevent the deflorestation. I remembered the number of times when I had to pick you up from the police precinct. You were so pure. And now these monsters want you to kill.
He starts walking in direction of the button.
-I cannot let that happen. I must let you go.-says Dr.Shiragami in tears
Dr.Karla notices this and immediatly sends security to prevent him from touching the button.
-You are my daughter. Not their weapon.
A tentacle rams throught the glass of the observatory where Dr.Karla is, and grabs a laptop. Everyone stares at the monster as the tentacles write in the keyboard of the computer, eventually handing it to Dr.Shiragami. He holds the computer and reads:
"I AM AFRAID TOO DAD HE IS COMING FOR ME"
-What did it write?-yells Dr.Karla
-Who is coming for you Erika?-asks Shiragami handing the computer to the creature, still in shock.
The creature types and returns the computer.
"GODZILLA".
-What did it write?-yells Dr.Karla furious
-It's Erika! It is not Biollante anymore. It is Erika!
Dr.Karla sits, shocked.
-What now? If the weapon has personality, then there is a big chance that it will not take orders from us. Unless we make her obey.
He gets up again and yells:
-Guards, detain Dr.Shiragami immediatly!
The guards enter the cell, but Biollante immediatly launches two of her tentacles with jaws, and eats up the two. Dr.Karla tries to ignite the incinerator, but he is immediatly devoured by one of the tentacles. Shiragami looks horrified, but a human shape made by Biollante's tissue starts forming in front of him.
-Erika?
-Come with me. We need to get out of here.-says the human form reaching it's arm for Shiragami.
He grabs the arm and is pulled against the body of the creature, and is immediatly covered by plant tissue. He is able to hear a voice.
-I managed to get some control over the beast. I convinced it to not absorve you, so don not be afraid.
Biollante starts hammering it's way into the surface.

At the same time

Serizawa arrives at the Gojira department.
-When did he move?
-About 1 hour ago. He is headed into North America.
-I have a bad feeling about this. Get me Groom Lake's surveillance team on the line.
After waiting for a moment, the face of one of the team members appears on the screen.
-You called in the right moment. The military are concentrating around the entrance!
He points the camera into the base and dozens of military personnel, tanks and helicopters are seen pointing their weapons at a big hangar. A sound simmilar to a violin is heard.
-What the...?-says the man recording.
Suddenly, the hangar doors are thrown away and the military start shooting into it. Tentacles start exiting from the hangar and smash some tanks.
-Oh my god, what is that thing.
-Keep filming. I am calling Graham and MIST. We need to act sooner that we thought.

At the Brody's house

Everyone is gathered around the table, having already finished the dinner. Suddenly, the team's phones start ringing. Takashi answers.
-This is Ice Queen. We are all at Brody's house... What? Ok, we are getting there right away.
-What happened?-asks Ford.
-We have a situation. A MUTO is breaking out of Groom Lake. We need to got to the HQ.
Elle looks at Ford:
-Is this how it is going to be your whole life?
-You are my whole life. That is why I have to go there and stop this thing.
They kiss and Ford boards the jeep.

And so, we are left to wonder. Is Erika really alive inside Biollante, or is this just a deception created by the monster itself when it aquired the memories and intelect of her? If there was a time where your choice was more than crucial for the story, now is the time: Wich side will prevail:

-Erika (which would make Godzilla somehow the bad guy here)

-Biollante (a cunning enemy for Godzilla that will require MIST's assistance)
