Chapter 1 of my Fan-made script of Godzilla 2014 sequel!

(Before you read this, make sure you read the Prologue first)

1 year later since the last Godzilla Encounter:

"-We are back with more information on the stock market. Wallstreet opened with an extreme decrease in value. Economist Peter Anderson predicts that the trend is to continue due to last year's catastrophe that caused major losses, namely the city of San Francisco that has been prevently abandoned and quarantined due to the high levels of radiation derived from the nuclear explosion, although many others blame the high investiment in armament. Speaking of which, it has now been a year since the attack, the President has inaugurated a memorial at the outskirts of the city to honor all the direct and indirect victims of the attack, as hundreds of people die dued to radiation sickness days after it, and many others are still affected by the mutations it caused. Our reporter Carl Finn is at the site. Carl?

-Yes Sarah, the president is preparing to give his speech and eventually unveil the memorial. One curiosity: many people have red Canna flowers on their hands. These flowers were the first ones to blossom after the Hiroshima and Nagazaki nuclear bombings in WWII. I am talking to one of the persons... excuse me sir, could you tell the reason why almost everyone has red Canna flowers?

-Sure. As you said, they were the first ones to blossom after Hiroshima, and what they simbolize here is that although many people died one year ago, their legacy and souls will prevail.

-Thank you very much sir. It seems that the President is about to speak.

-Fellow americans. Today we remember the day the game changed. Not only as America's sons, but as humans, we found something that puts our very existence at risk. We have been caught by surprise and now, we are weak. But make no mistake: we had ourselves independent from the British, we went through 2 world wars and...won, and we survived 9/11 and gave hell to those who dared to attack us. Now many say that I am spending too much with our military, but if that is what it takes to protect us from this threats, I would do it again, and again, and again. Let us remember our fallen fathers, brothers, sisters, wives, sons, and friends. Let us remember true americans.Thank you.

-That seems to be it, the President is pulling the sheet, uncovering a statue of Godzilla holding hands with a human. It seems a bit misplaced from the President's speech, but reforces the idead that although Godzilla was not fighting for us and even caused a few human casualities of his own, he was our best and only shot against those other two monsters, eventually saving us from further harm.This has been Carl Finn at the San Francisco memorial innauguration, live in Channel 6 news Back to you Sarah.

-Thanks Carl. This is just in, it appears that during the President's speech, the UN has called the press to their New York headquarters to listen to Dr.Ishiro Serizawa's speech. We are going to pass to our correspondent in Manhattan, Melanie Carson. Quite an unexpected speech right Melanie?

-It sure is Sarah. Dr. Ishiro Serizawa is not quite a known figure, although one year ago, he was present at a closed doors UN security council right here. Perhaps he will unveil himself what happened on such misterious council, that caused large ammounts of speculation along the world as it happened a day after the attacks. Wait... he is about to speak.

-Good Evening. I intend to be brief and clear. I called you to this conference to communicate that on the council that took place one year ago, world leaders agreed the creation of a special organization called Monarch that will be supervised by myself and will only respond to the UN only. This will deal with future threats simmilar to those that took place a year ago. In the meantime we will track Gojira, or Godzilla as the americans call it, making sure we know we predict his moves, preventing any casualities if he ever returns to land. We will be sediated at an undisclosed location to prevent any attacks and attempts to misuse our research. That will be all for now. Thanks.

-This is breaking news Sarah, as you could listen, Dr.Ishiro Serizawa has created a new division named Monarch, specialized in the protection against giant monster attacks, something that could only come out of a monster movie, but since what happened one year ago, nothing can surprise us anymore. Back to you Sarah.

-It certainly cannot. That was obviously a situation we will be accompained by Channel 6 News as it develops. Meanwhile, conflicts rise in Cretoria as the terrorist group known as Talaghan bombed a primary school on the district of Lingor. A video reinvicating the..."

Dr.Graham is distracted from the TV as Serizawa enters the room.

-That went rather good, I think.-says Serizawa
-Well, they sure looked surprised.-says Graham

A phone is heard vibrating and Graham checks her pockets, takes it and says:

-It's a message from Martin. They are ready to start tracking. Want to go there now, or do you have something else to do here.
-Perfect. We must go then.-replies Serizawa
-Then to Janjira it is...

Prime Minister's residence
Cretoria
A few minutes after the conference

Ivan Kravchenko. the Prime Minister of Cretoria takes his eyes of the television and looks through the window with a dozen of journalists at the gate, scrambled to get a good picture. It surely is a rainy night, but they are willing to sacrifice their confort and probably, their health, to get a word about those damn terrorists

-Mr.Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense is on the line.-says the secretary through the intercom.
-Send him through. He better have some solution against these radicals.
-Ivan?-says the voice on the phone.
-Yes Dimitri. What else did those terrorists blew up?
-It is not about that.
-What is it then?
-There was a collapse at the radioactive waste storage mines the people we sent there called us to send some scientist. They claim it to be something worse than the terrorists.
The Prime Minister gets up terrified.
-Something? Like what? Tell me dammit!
-We found what one of our scientists claims to be a cocoon for a monster like those ones that attacked America.
-How do you know he is saying the truth?
-I believed the moment I saw the picture. I emailed it to you right now. See it.
-Hang on then.

The Prime Minister opens his mailbox and then the mail. What he saw left him horrified: What seemed to be a giant rock, was glowing.
-My God Dimitri. I am reporting it to Monarch.
-DON'T do it Ivan.
-Are you insane? Look at what those thing did to the Americans. If it wasn't that giant lizard of theirs, they would be destroyed.
-That was because they didn't know how to contain it. The scientist that worked at Janjira said that they used an electric fence, but it was not strong enough. We just have to make one that does the job. Imagine if we can actually control this thing. The possibilities are endless. We would be immune to an outside attack.
-I don't know Dimitri. I will decide better later, but right now, make sure no one else knows about this, and if anyone speaks, deal with it.
-I will do. Good night Ivan. And do not worry.

Two hours later

In the darkness of a house, a phone rings and a middle-aged man answers.
-You better have a good reason wake me up after the commemoration.
-Our inside man at the Minister's residence picked up something very interesting. I sent you a mail with a phonecall with the Minister of Defense and a pictur he receive on his email.
-I will check it out. Rise with rage brother.
-Rise with rage master.

The man gets up from bed and checks his mail. As he looks at a giant glowing rock, Prime Minister's words echo:"...they would be destroyed!".

So, this is about the size I would like the chapters to be.

For next Chapter I would like you to suggest:

-An hi-tech weapon (it can be a railgun, bomb, rifle, whatever you want)

-A name for Talaghan's leader.

-A name for the special Monarch unit.
