One day later.
-So, any word on our mole?-aks the president to the secretary of defense.
-I am afraid to have bad news. They have been captured by Monarch.
-The entire team!?
-Only the local handler managed to not be captured. These guys are not playing around. Takashi and Brody were the ones responsible.
-It seems that they are not to be underestimated. What do you think that will happen now?
-So far, if we are lucky, they return our agents to the local precinct and from there, we can negotiate extradition.
-Does any of them have knowledge on our little science project?
-No. They were only told to coerce the mole and retrieve intel. Nothing more.
-Thank God. Then we can proceed with the program?
-Yes. Speaking of which, I am heading to Groom Lake tomorrow, Dr.Karla said that he finnaly achieved what we wanted.
-Really? Then I must go as well. I am curious on what the doctor has created. See you tomorrow.
Monarch HQ
Janjira, Japan
At the same time
Ford and Takashi watch the FBI's team leader being interrogated by Goodnight.
-Do you think that he will break?-asks Ford.
-Yes, if Goodnight managed to put a fanatic like that Talaghan terrorist speaking, he can deal with this douche. But I do not think his informations hold much value.
-What now?
-These cells often have a person monitoring from the outside.
-A handler.
-Exactly. If we got the handler, he could tell us more than these guys.
-Can't he tell us where he is?
-No, it's no use. The guy or girl must be out of the country by now. We will squeeze what we can from these guys for today and we will handle them to the police.
Dr Serizawa enters the room.
-How is he going?-asks him
-He is playing tough. How about you doctor?
-I came here to tell you that we finished a prototype of a special combat exosuit.
-Sound fancy.
-Do you mind following me?
-Sure.
They go to the R&D department where what appears to be an android, lifts a big metal crate like if it was cardboard.
-My god, that is amazing.
-This is the prototype of the Jaguar suit: the perfect combat outfit that will satisfy every approach, either fontline battle or simply, infiltration.
They climb down the stairs and the crowd of scientists makes way for them as the man in the suit removes his head and undresses the suit.
-This looks like cartoon science fiction.-says Ford astonished
-But it is not. When we crafted that anti-matter bomb, we paved the way to unlimited and clean energy source that can be easily transported. From there, it was easy to implement it on the suit.
-So, we will be basically carrying a bomb on our backs.
-This suit is much more than it appears at first glance, Mr.Brody. Next to the hermecticly safe anti-matter cannister, there is a Impulsed Jump device that will allow the operator to jump to a maximum of 50 meters in the air, and will activate again to atenuate the fall.
-Amazing. It looks like a jetpack?
-Kind of. The "jetpack" was our initial idea, the energy source was not the proble, but the device overheats rapidly, making a continued use impossible, rendering us to simply short bursts. We also have incorporated a special device on the wrists, that will power up the Mark 1 Beam Rifle (M1BR),making it useless to whoever does not have the suit.
-This is all cool and sci-fi material, but what I matter most is protection.
-I know. In 2012, the MIT developed a special material that when bullets hit on it, it liquifies and instantly hardens, nullifying the bullet's impact, and the best of it, is that it is paper thin, meaning that it can be easily molded into various shape or forms. This suit not only possesses half a centimeter of that material, but it also possesses another special material, created by the Austin University, powered by the anti-matter as well, that when electric current hits it, the light stops transmitting on humanly visible frequency.
-This will put thing way on our favor. We need these suits for the Groom Lake infiltration.
-I know, but it will take time. In the meanwhile, you will start practicing with the prototype. It is not guaranteed that it will fit perfectly, but until each one of MIST's members has one of it's own which will take about 3 months as we already know how to do it, it will have to do.
-This is some crazy stuff Takashi. I think that it is too dangerous, even on our hands. Who says that one day, one of the suits won't get stolen?
-I fear that too, but if we are getting into Groom Lake, it will be with this.
And the suits are introduced! This is where the grounded and political tone start fading away, giving room for the good old science fiction. Do you think the suit's features are good? Or is it too much? I would still take any gadget suggestions if you want to give any.
(Curiosity: The suit's materials i described above actually exist! Check here:

Something Real
MemberGodzillaJun-09-2014 8:51 AMJOAOMLO2 - That was a very fun section to read! I very much enjoy the concept of the suits - they'll definately help to bring things more into the "good ol'" sci-fi feeling. With regards to the Structured Polymer Composite material (or SPC), I actually read a very compelling article concerning it and another material known as Graphine about a month ago. You should do a little research on that material as well - it might make your head spin! ;) Thank you very much for bringing this to us! :)
