One day after the assassination

-Gentlemen, we just had word that the Cretorian Prime Minister and Vice-President have been assassinated.
The council is suddenly flooded with voices of concerned leaders.
-Order in the room. Please. This are now hard times for our race. Not only we are threatened by a new monster, and now, the threat is even bigger. Director Serizawa will make the point of the situation.
A large screen shows Serizawa's concerned face to everyone in the council.
-Gentlemen, I apologize for not being present with you in there, but I can asssure you that it is only because I really cannot mark my presence among you. Two days ago, as you know, our headquarters were attacked. We discovered that one of the employees managed to insert a bomb inside the security room and made it explode while he was there, preventing any means of capture and interrogation. You also know, that it allowed an intruder attack team to immediatly break into the Weapons Department and steal our experimental Anti-Matter, which was recently weaponized, being our best weapon against massive unidentified beings. We promptly assembled a tatical response team codename MIST, that is ready to proceed into Cretorian territory. I am confident on our team to be the adequate response we need against the threat we face. Do not forget Gentlemen, that this is no longer just a monster, but this time, we have reasons to believe that a terrorist cell situated in Cretoria named Talaghan has been responsible for all these disasters, namely the assassination of 300 people on the Nuclear Waste mines, where the Cretorian goverment hid the discovery of a MUTO spore and tried (unsucsessfully) to contain it by closing it on a cage, that never got to be closed as Talaghan operatives sabotaged the containment procedures. We also believe that in addition to that, Talaghan is responsible for both the assassination of the Prime and Vice Ministers and Dr.Yamane (a former worker of Monarch) and the attack at our headquarters. Cretoria is currently in state of emergency and is quickly crumbling with chaos. That is why I am asking permission to operate on Cretorian soil to recover the bomb and use it against the MUTO.
-What about Godzilla?-asks one of the leaders
-Let's just say that he is on his way.
-Director Serizawa, we agree on letting your team in, but with that country on Marcial Law, it will be hard to have the Cretorians cooperative with foreign forces. If by any means, your team isn't able to deal with the situation, the NATO forces will intervene.
-I understand. We will make this operation go as smoothly as possible to avoid further instability. The codename will be Operation Kingsguard. I will let our operatives know that we have a greenlight. Thank you.
-Just take care of this mess Serizawa.
-Will do. Director Ichiro Serizawa out.

Undisclosed Talaghan refuge

At the same time

Dr.Yamane is lying heavily injured in his cell and suddenly, the door opens to a blinding ray of daylight.
-Dr.Yamane, it is time to make yourself worthy.-says a strong looking man
-Just let me die already.-says him
-No such luck.-says the man-Put him up and follow me.
Two thugs grab his arms and force him up. The man starts walking and Yamane is dragged along corridors into a large laboratory. A big glass cannister with a glowing ball in the middle is at the center of it.
-Do you know what this is Doctor?-asks the man
-Stabilized Anti-Matter...-he turns to the man-You don't know what you have in your hands, where did...
-Relax doctor, that is why you are here. We "retrieved" this from Monarch's HQ and we are hoping you told us how can we use it to reach our "purposes"
-You mean, weaponize it?
Yamane looks at the device and sees that it is already weaponized, but they don't know that. If he told that, they would not need him and would kill him, or throw him back to the cell.
-I think I can. Give me a few days.
-Thank you for your cooperation Doctor. I will leave my eyes on you to make sure you do not try any funny tricks.-says the man pointing at two of his thugs.
"If Serizawa made this, he would be smart enough to put an emergency beacon on it. I just have to find it and in a matter of days, I can be rescued."-thinks Yamane to himself

After the the Greenlight on Operation Kingsguard

-So, gentlemen, I know the time was short, but I hope you compensate it with the experienced you aquired back at home, because tonight we leave to Cretoria. If you have any family or loved ones to call, now would be the time, as I hope you understand that this mission is as important as dangerous, so, pray that we can get back in one piece. We will be inserted by air with a paracheute jump. Our window will be small, so make sure you are on the groung before the military air defenses spot us. Once on the ground, our main objective will be to clear a wharehouse near Kamenka, where one of our contacts says to have been with some suspicious acticity. it is a very vague lead, but it is the best shot we have in tracking down the Talaghan. Remember, find the Talaghan and we will find the bomb. Godzilla has already emerged from the Black Sea and is coming to fight the MUTO in about one to two days, so in that time, we must have the bomb or we won't be able to help him if things turn ugly for his side. So, go make your calls and prepare to board the flight to Cretoria. If it is one-way or two-way flight, it will depend entirely on you effort and dedication. Many lives depend on our success .Dismissed!
Ford goes to a phone and calls home.
-Ford?
-Honey?
-God, I miss you so much.
-I miss you to, and how is Sam?
-He is missing you a lot as well.
-Listen. I am going to save the world again.-says him with a forced smile
-Couldn't they get other people to do it?
-We talked about this Elle. The only way I can protect you and Sam is to make sure everything is okay myself. Besides, i have an entire unit to watch over me.
-Just be careful, and try to make it home alive.
-I will be thinking on you every second while i'm there.I love you.
-I love you too.
Ford puts down the phone and takes a deep breath.
-Worried wife?-asks Heartbeat
-Oh... yes. The last time we had such a conversation was when the MUTO's first attacked.
-Don't worry. I will watch your six. The whole team will.
-Thanks. I just want this to be over, but I have a feeling that we will be needed time after time until one day we can't make it back home.
-It is a burden. Our burden. As heroes. Don't worry mate. We are going to make it.
