Good news

Yeah, I was just reading that. That is great news! I would love to see a trilogy of films. In spite of my mixed feelings for this one, Gareth and co. got a lot right, and any shortcomings could be addressed in a second go round. I'm on Legendary's mailing list. I'd love for them to send surveys out to fans to see what we liked/didn't.

But definitely great news.

As soon as the movie was over I was ready for a sequel, if not just to hopefully address some of the shortcomings of this film. Most of which is to see MORE GODZILLA! Thanks for the update.

Well, it's only made $40 million U.S. atm. $60 mil worldwide. But that is still WAY higher than analysts were predicting. 

So it is TRACKING to get break over $90 mil U.S opening weekend., which is amazing considering prior to release it was only tracking to get $60 mil U.S..

But it hasn't actually accomplished the $90 mil feat yet. We will have to wait until Monday to know for sure. But yeah, things are looking great!

gman2887 has another topic about this but however, opening night on thursday it made 9.3 million, which it already beaten the amazing spider man 2 which made 8.4 million opening night, that is great news though. :)

So hopefully we will get our sequal. :)

Yay!! Gee-zus, that's a lot of money isn't it haha! I think it will definitely make enough for a sequel but wether or not Gareth will make one is another kettle of fish altogether!

I'm actually 50/50 on a sequel. A sequel will not be done by Legendary as this is their last movie deal with WB. They're with Universal now

Well I think legendary would still be more than capable of producing a sequel by themselves!

Wouldnt be possible if WB owns the rights

Oh yes.....yup, forgot about that now didn't I. They will probably still find a way for it to work!
