Sounds about right. It's pretty obvious this was going to be PG-13, but I'm glad you found proof.
Hopfully this shut up the vocal minority that was so dead set on an R-rated Godzilla movie. (Stupid.)

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-03-2014 11:04 AM1. good thing out of that confirmation is that now everyone will shut up when it comes to the age rating

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-03-2014 11:10 AMI knew it would be. It would be hadr to make this movie R-rated and it would have turned a lot of audience away.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-03-2014 11:22 AMThank god. Thats the only thing that works if you ask me.I guess all those people who kept saying this movie should have blood flooding everywhere, have sex scenes(Yeah, some WANTED that. Not here, but in those dark corners of the web) and immature ammounts of swearing will be dissapointed.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-03-2014 11:30 AMI didn't need this confirmation, I would have been willing to bet anyone 500 bucks on the spot the film was going to be PG13.
Regardless, the brass that seemed to think the movie was going to be rated R... I'm curious to hear their commentary on this...

MemberBaragonApr-03-2014 11:31 AMBut the movie can't be dark without vast amounts of carnage, cursing, and potential nudity!:Every1 who wanted an R-rated movie.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-03-2014 1:56 PMSo no giant lizard sex? How disappointing. I really can't think of a reason to have an R-rated Godzilla movies. It would only limit the audience and the potential box office and the series has never been pre-disposed to lots of gore or bad language (though I suspect that most of Godzilla's dialoge would be curse words if it were translated).

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-03-2014 2:09 PMGood, that means this movie has even more potential to be successful

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-03-2014 2:21 PMIt's good that Godzilla (2014) is being rated PG-13, for several of the reasons listed above. The wider audience will bring in so many more people, generate hundreds, if not thousands of more fans and bring the world to its knees with the message behind what Godzilla is.
Plus, we need this movie to be successful! We need more Godzilla movies, and if Legendary (and hopefully Gareth Edwards) are at the forefront of that with Toho being them, we will experience the greatest series of movies to ever grace cinema with their atomic radiation!
Why did I have a link here? That was weird.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-03-2014 2:30 PMHonestly I KNEW this movie was gonna be an obviously common sense pg 13, but yes you all had listed out the great reasons above already why this movie shouldnt be rated r.
And I also agree; the rated r crap can finally be "cased closed".

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-03-2014 9:07 PMFinally glad you found out this is PG-13, that is a really great desicion for MPAA to rate it PG-13, hope the next post will be about the runtime of the movie.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-03-2014 10:35 PMIt's pretty darn obvious its gonna be PG-13 isn't it? They dun sell toys for kids for an R-Rated movie.
And besides, Legendary would be knocking themselves in the head if they made Godzilla an R-rated movie. In fact having it rated R would actually backfire, rendering it a flop when it hits the theatres. Seriously, who would pay to catch a monster-flick that's R-rated? Godzilla fans yes, the general audience? Nah. They'll probably find it hilarious that the producers and director are taking a monsta movie too seriously.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-09-2014 11:46 AMI'm not saying I support anyone who would want the movie to R-rated. All I'm saying is it would be an interesting thing to see... so much death haha

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-09-2014 12:54 PMI could not found the topic about the approximate duration of the new Godzilla movie, so I will put this info here.
In a cinema page from my country, states that the new Godzilla movie will last 130 min. Check it out: http://www.albacinema.com.gt/proximamente/?id=358&tipo=2&clase=proximamente
If this is reliable, then we will have a good long movie after all.
