Speaker vents and a battery compartment but no speaker? Interesting. He could be right and it was taken out for cost purposes. Maybe they tested the toy on some youngins and the new Godzilla roar was too scary for them?

The whole toy feels incomplete without the sound effects :(

They could have at least removed the speaker holes and the battery pack. It makes me very angry! >:(

I had a Heisei Godzilla toy from the "Godzilla Wars" line that also had the speaker holes and battery pack but no speakers.

Trendmasters used the same mold for toys with and without speakers. The ones without speakers were sold cheaper.

Believe it or, but using the roar for a toy costs money, ontop of ya know, the parts and stuff you have to put in there. Godzilla's roar is also licensed (believe it or not). Sometimes toy makers will include parts in a mold for a speaker to be inserted, if they so choose to do so later (I.E. if the toy sells well, they'

GODZILLA VS HELLBOY!!!!!!!! :D

This video was great! That dude was cracking me up! I can...not... WAIT TO FIND THIS GIANT FREAKING THING!!!! The whole "sound" thing is interesting, and although it would have been cool if he roared or even glowed blue in his mouth or somethig like that, this guy is gonna be breaking the bank for me as it is. But I've got me a pile of Godzilla 2014 money burning a hole in my pocket, and this dude is destined for my collection no matter how much he costs! Now if I can just FIND him... :)
