Godzilla 2014's Influence on the Genre

So, with all the hype surrounding Godzilla's return, do you think this movie will influece a sort of... "Kaiju rebirth"? 

After the success of the Showa era films, we saw a LOT of other studios quickly releasing monster movies in an attempt to capitalize on the new trend. Films like Yongary, Gamera, Gorgo, etc. would have probably never been made if not for Godzilla. With that said, do you think this new film will set off a new trend of Kaiju movies where studios will try to release their own? I hope so, because after the success of Pacific Rim, I think Godzilla is coming out at just the right time to influence a wide variety of new franchises for the genre and hopefully bring Kaiju back into the popular mainstream. Now, obviously studios like Asylum will put out their dumb rip off like with previous movies, but what about large studios like 20th Century Fox? This could be the decade where monster movies make a HUGE comeback!
