Not trying to be an ass, just saying that it blatantly says he doesn't know if there will be a director's cut. I'd love one but let's not get our hopes up.

That, in no way, confirms anything beyond one actor's opinion about Gareth having his own cut. There is no confirmation of any kind in that statemtent. This is not yet fact people, it's just one actor's opinion on the matter.
This is exactly how false rumors start. By overexcited fans jumping to conclusions and misinterpreting language.
