Article - Giant Radioactive Squid Washes Up on CA Shore

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-09-2014 6:55 PMThat's so obviously photoshopped it's not even funny.

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-09-2014 7:00 PMI'm not sold that its fake. I mean obviously on first glance ya it looks ridiculous but its not the first time it happened.
" For the second time in recent months, a giant sea creature has washed ashore in California. First it was a rare oarfish that had grown to a freakish 40-foot length."
....
Or its an unbelievable marking stunt by WB/Legendary
"Although not similar at all, experts believe they share one important commonality: they both come from the waters near the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plant in the Futaba District of Japan."

Anyhoo, searched the image and it matches this beached whale pic, from this article: Whale found dead in Chile

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-09-2014 7:14 PMToo bad it's fake. It would be awesome if it was real.

AdminGiganJan-09-2014 7:21 PMThe oarfish that washed up (as MikeyNamez pointed out), that is real, the squid image is not. :)
The real irony in this, is that most whales that wash up on shore are discarded as hazardous waste because of the high toxic chemical load in them from the polluted Ocean.

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-09-2014 7:31 PMYa that would be great if it was real... perfect timing to say the least haha

MemberTitanosaurusJan-09-2014 8:19 PMIt's likely fake, but it does make one ponder on the idea. Imagine if Godzilla were to actually emerge someday. Maybe now. Maybe at the movie's release. Maybe several generations from now. But I for one believe that there's SOMETHING lurking in the depths below, waiting to give us land-goers a real run for our money.

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-09-2014 9:00 PMI agree with THEGMAN123 there deffinitly is something we don't know about that will eventually be making its way to land. That could be 300 years from now but fun to think about.

Gojira2K
MemberMothra LarvaeJan-09-2014 9:16 PMIt is very possible that something could or will be lurking in the depths of our ocean, maybe Godzilla, justing to be awakened and go on a rampage against us to show us what real power is.

GODZILLA HIMSELF
MemberMothra LarvaeJan-10-2014 12:05 AMi will never understand why people think that radiation actually mutates things like in a godzilla movie, it simply doesn't, heck it pretty much just kills things in real life!

Well, sir, maybe that in itself is the key. As stated in an article I once read some many eons ago (or months, whatever), http://www.angelfirthis articlee.com/ego/g_saga/kaijubiologyarticle.html, it states that the death of a creature may actually be the first step in the creation of a Kaiju of almost any sort. Obviously, it's just a theory posted some time ago, but still, the article is one of the few to go in depth about such mysteries.
