here it is Godzilla Reboot Going Retro

I couldn't find the original interview, but nevertheless.. but in regards to the 1954 scenes

McGarvey says, “On ‘Godzilla’ I used the old C series anamorphic lenses, and for the section in 1954 I used really old vintage lenses from the early 1960s. They took the edge off of the very vivid, sharp sensors, and gave it a distant period feel.”

If you look at the Serizawa scenes in the Japanese trailer and the American trailer, none of them look to be shot with the "vintage lenses from the early 1960s", in fact they look quite modern, wouldn't you agree?

I believe sir, that you are a FREAKIN' GENIUS! In fact, everyone knew Ken Watanabe plays as Dr. Serizawa. The discussion should have been called: Proof that a 1954 sequence will take place.
