where is Serizawas eyepatch?

Maybe if he survives through the movie, he`ll get it at the end of the movie after having gotten something in his eye, as you noted.

I hope they do somthing similar to the govoner in the walking dead

A guys Dr Serizawas is not going too survive too the hole movie because the news said Part of Godzilla 2014 will be 1954 so there will be alot of move scenes on the mordern days

The trailer showed watanabe in modern scenes, so there is a modern serizawa in this movie.

The problem with this whole "eyepatch" thing is that it was a trait given to the original character.

This is a reboot people, not a remake.

They are two very different things and this is a different Serizawa than the one we know from the 1954 film. There is no eyepatch because it's not the same character. The only two traits they share are coming from Japanese ancestry, and they share the same name. That's it. Those are the only two traits they have in common, and that's the way it should be.

There is no reason to give him an eyepatch just because the original had one.

Very true. I agree. This is a reboot for Dr. Serizawa. I prefer him to get injured by some lab attack from M.U.T.O. by creating some monster freak by an accident. It would be great to show how he got the eye patch in order to explain his origin. 

We can't just jump to conclusion here, we dont even know if Wantanabe is even playing as Serizawa in here.

Well, going by the MUTOresearch site, I think they all but confirmed that he'll be playing Serizawa. If you type in "Watanabe", it says "Did you mean Dr. Serizawa?".

@ Chris Picard if you type anybody that goes by the name of Ken it will display the same message.

He might get it at the end of the movie and this might set up a sequel.

Maybe he is the only survivor of the M.U.T.O. organization and goes to a self imposed exile working on some super weapon to eliminate all monsters.
