What cities should be in the movie?

So far I've heard San Francisco, Hawaii, and probably Japan, but where else should this movie take place? I also read that it'll take place in 54 for a little(Or back and forth, who knows) so that shows it'll be in Japan. Personally, I wanna see some cities or areas that aren't used too much. Something ALWAYS happens in New York. I mean it is a wonderful setting, and what better place than NY for a monster movie you know? BUT, that seems too medicore for me. If the movie does have a scene there, I won't be mad, Id just like to see variation with location. Anyway, what places do you all wish to see in the movie?
