A term used by fans for some time now, the name for Legendary Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures and Universal Pictures' joint shared cinematic Monster universe, which includes Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of Monsters and Godzilla vs. Kong is now officially known as the MonsterVerse! The name was discovered on the backside of the new Kong: Skull Island toy merchandise packaging - which encourages fans to collect all the available creature packs, which we reported on earlier this month.
Despite the unfortunate departure of Thomas Tull from Legendary Pictures and contrary to fan doubts and worries associated with that decision, the upcoming Godzilla sequel "King of Monsters" (slated for March 22nd, 2019) and the planned Godzilla vs. Kong film in 2020 are still happening.
Thanks to Gormaru Island for the find!
