Earlier today, Godzilla Minus Zero was announced as the title to the next Toho produced Godzilla movie. A new logo and website was revealed with Takashi Yamazaki returning to direct, write and orchestrate the visual effects.
In addition, The Hollywood Reporter has reported that film will be shooting outside Japan in New Zealand and Norway. This is a rare move for Toho as most Japanese studios typically keep their productions local. The last time a Godzilla film shot outside of Japan on location was for portions of Godzilla Final Wars (2004).
Godzilla Minus Zero is directed by Japanese Academy Award Winning and Oscar Winning, Takashi Yamazaki who returns to write the screenplay and direct the visual effects as well. The sequel is currently in production. More information as it comes!
