It now makes sense why Playmates will no longer be producing figures for their "Classic Godzilla" line. Bandai has returned!
In 2001, Bandai Japan started a line known as the Movie Monster Series. Even though it went on hiatus in 2007, the release of the 2014 Godzilla film revived it. In the last 9 years it has been Bandai's soft vinyl staple for the Godzilla and kaiju toyline--releasing multiple figures of both old and new monsters/iterations every year!
Today, Bandai announced the Movie Monster Series would be making its American debut this year! Check out the first line-up coming this September!
Figures will be available September 30th, 2023 and are available for pre-order from Amazon. Here are the individual links for their Amazon pre-orders:
King Ghidorah 2019
Millennium Godzilla
Godzilla 2019
Hedorah 2004
MechaGodzilla (Heavily Armed) 2003
What monsters are you hoping show up next in the US line? Which will you be getting first? Sound off!
