Legendary Pictures and Godzilla (2014) director Gareth Edwards worked hard to re-invent the King of all Monsters in every way possible. From his looks, to his atomic breath, to his iconic roar. One of the biggest challenges was apparently bringing back Godzilla's roar. sound designer Erik Aadahl and sound editor Ethan Van der RyS were hired to bring Godzilla's new roar to life whil remaining true to the 1954 original for 2014's rebirth of the franchise.
