The latest trailer for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 revealed a ton of new footage which has shed some light on the series' mysteries. While plot specifics have been kept tightly under wraps throughout production, the latest trailer has given us some clues to how the next season will play out. Below is our analysis of the latest trailer.
1. We will return to Skull Island

Either Monarch seek to recruit the help of Kong to cope with the impending doom of Titan X's wrath or Skull Island is in Titan X's trajectory. The trailer features a number of cut-scenes from the infamous Skull Island environments and show Titan X will in fact make landfall on Kong's island. It's possible Skullcrawlers may have a small cameo appearance as well but we're not certain.
2. Return of the Mantleclaws

Whether or not Skullcrawlers will have any screen time in season 2, we do get a glimpse of a Mantleclaw – the giant crustacean Titan featured in the first episode of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 1. These massive crab-like monsters are native to Skull Island.
3. Titan X will fight Kong on Skull Island

We know there will be a clash between Kong and Titan X on Skull Island! Given that the trailer didn't shy away from teasing this battle, we assume this will be one of the early Titan run-in's from the show, saving Titan X's other battles for later in the season. At this time, Kong isn't as large as he is in The New Empire, so it's safe to assume Titan X will win and move on to pursue the mainland.
4. Godzilla attacks Japan

A few cut-scenes show Godzilla on a rampage through Japan – likely sensing the rival Titan X. Much like Godzilla's behavior when he sensed Ghidorah in King of the Monsters and again when he sensed Mechagodzilla in Godzilla vs. Kong – any time a new, rival Titan emerges, it prompts Godzilla to act aggressively and erratically. Monarch is responsible for the emergence of Titan X, so evidently, Godzilla will not be impressed.
5. Godzilla will fight Titan X

While Kong will be the focus of Season 2, Godzilla won't be standing idly by. Given the nature of the cut-scenes, we can safely assume Godzilla's battle with Titan X will be built up and likely occur later in the season – perhaps even during the series finale. It's also possible Godzilla is unable to defeat Titan X on his own and Monarch will help coordinate another team-up between Godzilla and Kong against Titan X – that battle likely won't be teased.
