There's more than meets the eye when it comes to Titan X. While massive and ferocious, we've learned this new behemoth may have another, more fascinating side to it. The latest trailer for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2 has revealed some rather interesting new details about the new Titan X monster and this post unpacks the few subtle details hidden within.
1. Barbed Tentacles

When it comes to Titan X's arsenal of weaponry, we see in the trailer that the Monster's tentacles are lined with serrated barbs. Evidently this will cause significant damage to any flesh on rival Titans, making the tentacles not only a constrictor but also capable of laceration. However while this subtle detail is neat, it pales in comparison to what's next.
2. Dorsal plates glow red when threatened

Titan X has a variety of horns, dorsal plates and protuberances all over its body. The horns on the front of its head glow red, along with all of these plates whenever Titan X is seen in combat. Much like Godzilla's dorsal plates glowing as a form of posturing and signaling, it appears Titan X possesses a similar characteristic.
3. Dorsal plates glow white / blue when inquisitive

Contrasting the red glow while in a state of stress, a quick cut-scene from the latest trailer showed Titan X with a softer, blue-ish white glow while approaching one of the Human characters. After brightening up this specific shot (above) you can see Titan X's eyes are affixed to the Human character, with an inquisitive and rather non-threatening look to them. This tells us Titan X has another side – an intelligent, neutral demeanor. Does Titan X possesses an ability to communicate with Humans? We wonder... Regardless, this detail suggests the Titan isn't just some rampaging monster from another dimension, but a conscious being, perhaps uncertain of where or when it's existing.
It seems like there will be a lot more to this new Titan than we initially thought. What do you think? Sound off in the comments!
