I think that title tells me.. time for a new title. Come on man.. that is so lame to recycle a 1956 title from the raymond burr version.. so what are we gonna get... Godzilla only.. with no other kaiju ?? or perhaps a history lesson and his initial awakening.. all I know is.. that title only worked for 56 movie.. but today's modern audience.. may want something cooler sounding.. like GODZILLA: DOMINION .. or GODZILLA: MODERN AGE RAGE (LOL) no.. not that one.. but how about.. GODZILLA: AGE OF DEVASTATION .

Great news... But was inspecting with the title "Monster Zero" as the pun for ground zero for the four kaijus they are going to cause, no offense.

It was hard to tell during the underwater battle with Battra because of Kawakita's bubble fetish. But yeah, I do recall feeling something was a little off from when he walked out of the volcano and the very next scene where he was fighting the JSDF.
The thing is, although the suits are a little different, the overall design is basically the same, so it's hard to catch the differences upon first viewing. It's really repeat viewings that I start noticing these things.
As for why certain suits were used for specific scenes, it might've been a timing issue. The GhidoGoji had been stolen before the movie started production, but was found just in time for the scenes it was in. It was in pretty bad shape so it wasn't used for the climax of the film. And despite the BatoGoji looking a little bulkier it was actually more mobile. My guess is they just wanted to use the suit that was in better condition for when Godzilla taking a heavier beating.

This one is tough, but I have to give my vote to Ghidogoji. I did not know both suits were used in the same movie! For someone who notices these details, did that confuse you at first Gman? Haha I know if I was watching ALIEN and halfway through the film they used the suits from James Cameron's ALIENS I would've been very confused. Lol
Was the Batogoji suit more mobile and easy to use and that's why they favored it for certain scenes over the Ghidogoji suit?
Figures the some of the good heisei suits come up and they get put up against eachother.

Interesting fact too. The GhidoGoji and BatoGoji were in the same movie.
In Godzilla vs. Mothra '92 the GhidoGoji was used for the underwater battle against Battra and Godzilla's march out of Mt. Fuji. The BatoGoji wasn't really seen in action until after the Mt. Fuji scene where he battles the JSDF before reaching Mothra and Battra's battle.
The BatoGoji was also used for Godzilla's fight against Rodan in Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla II.

The 1992 design is a bit... flat chested...
Ghidogoji all the way. Besides being my very first Godzilla--it is a savage design. No dispute, my vote is for Ghidogoji.
If that kind of tournament ever was to arise, Gigan ftw.

The couple should have a special love in the middle or the ending of the movie not in the beginning of the movie
More of Godzilla in the day instead of night and make his atomic breathe more active and instead of the ending of the movie

We'll see. I have other tournaments in mind and I'm normally more interested in other facets of the franchise--Particularly details revolving around the way these films are made more than general monster talk and fantasy battles.
When this tournament is over, and if you make another one. Could it be about who is the best Godzilla kaiju?

Eh this one kind of had a weight problem. The only reason I'll vote for DesuGoji(most likely depends who it goes against) is because while the suit may have been awful to wear it was cool seeing the light up power and smoke coming off it, and maybe the color change made the suit look slimmer to me.
Once GhidoGoji and BioGoji show up though I'll be voting for them until they either win the whole thing, or get knocked out, those are the high point of heisei era design to me.
^Which has shocked me. Especially this particular one.
Just realized that even though Heisei is my favorite era, I've voted against all of its suits so far.

Mogegoji for me. '94 is such an iconic design for me. I always thought Finalgoji looked off. As if Godzilla went on a diet before fighting all his opponents at once lol I also detested Anguirus' design in Final Wars. He gained all the weight Godzilla lost hahaha
I like both designs, but IMO MogeGoji is a more iconic design.
Tough choice 94 has a better face, but bodywise looks a little overweight, while FinalGoji's head doesn't look as good but, has a better body.
Just like with GMK, gonna say if it was just the head MogeGoji, but since it's whole body.

MOGEGOJI (1994)
The face of Godzilla 1994 is savage, menacing, and and brutal. Far and away over-shines the Final Wars Godzilla--which you can tell they tried to go for a composite Godzilla suit with, but it did turn out that well. 94 has my vote.
