A GCU. I love it! The potential for Kaiju spin-offs would be great. This just sounds like the best way to go. I would love to see a Shin Godzilla sequel but I would love this to happen more than that.
Beyond glad Shin Godzilla 2 won't be a thing. Been terrified at the prospect of a sequel ruining the greatness of this one off film. But the idea of a GCU or Godzilla Cinematic Universe is too cool to hear.
Basically a modern version of the Showa era. That’s pretty cool.
The Godzilla 2017 release was still Godzilla Earth. If you look under the chin you can see the spikes. Filius doesn't have the spikes. I think the 2017 figure was supposed to be Godzilla Earth when he was still 50 meters, before the 20,000 year time skip. I'm not sure. All I know is that the 2017 figure has chin spikes and Filius does not have chin spikes, ergo the 2017 figure is not Godzilla Filius

@G. H. (Gman) It's been two days from the time of this comment. When are you going to publish the article about the news I shared with you earlier in this fourm?
But if he's the one that might've driven them out, then where do the rumors about an anime SpaceGodzilla fit in all of this? That is, if anyone remembers them.
Kulaas makes an excellent point. It would make total sense if Ghidorah went from planet to planet, wiping out whole civilizations. It might be possible that King Ghidorah was the kaiju that drove the Exif from their home planet.
I hope Ghidorah survives this and makes it through the Legendary battles in KOTM. Both films need to let the Dragon King make it safely back into outer space. He better keep all three heads as well.
Maybe Ghidorah is Exif's last resort on taking out Godzilla, just speculating.
The aliens already have alternate motives for trying to save the earth. They kind of spoke of it before in the last movie. They also need a place to live.
Plz don't tell me that the Exifs are going to turn out evil, it's pretty refreshing to see aliens being good guys in a Godzilla movie.
I'd imagine he'd just be an outside invader from space, not a mutation or hyper evolved organism. Don't think it's any coincidence that Metphies spoke on seeing monsters like Godzilla destroy other civilizations during the Exif's time as space vagrants, and this film's marketing has the Exif insignia present on it.
I wonder how King Ghidorah will compare to Godzilla Earth.
Will he be a mere mutation like the other monsters in this continuity, or is he another evolved anomaly like Godzilla himself, seemingly evolved specifically to combat Humanity?
The Oxygen Destroyer already exists in the anime universe. It was invented by Dr. Serizawa and became an urban legend, believed to be the only weapon capable of killing Godzilla. A group of scientists began experimenting to try and actually recreate the weapon, but stumbled upon microorganisms mutated by the Oxygen Destroyer. The microbes eventually evolved into Destoroyah, which killed all of the scientists and ended the project for good.
Give it too me.........now
He looks more like an insect rather than a Mechagodzilla, but what will truly be the ultimate factor of e=whether it is good or not is to see what it does. Who agrees with me on this?
Ok, I'll stop. But the thing is, my email is not verified, so unfortunately, I can't create forums for these things. That's why I instead deliver the message if it's not on the website.
You know what would be just as cool? A plan to create an Oxygen Destroyer after Godzilla and King Ghidorah fight each other (if they ever do).
Oh yay, another Godzilla movie where they choose Ghidorah as the enemy. That's exactly what I've been waiting for.
/s
Hehe...... he's a pointy boi.
Tamashii Nations made a vinyl? I wonder if they'll make an S.H. MonsterArts figure too?
Mechagodzilla, let's fly off and watch this!
Oh, if only......
Guess I'll have to wait until the Netflix release, then.
WHAT!? this is sick! cant wait to see this one! King Ghidorah must be massive! This Im sure this will be interesting compared to next years version. SOO PUMPED! Cant wait!
cant wait for this to come on Netflix. I can only assume it will come on Netflix around late July. I only guess that based on how soon the first one came to Netflix last year. So pumped to see it!
MinecraftDinoKaiju,
Yes it is spam at this point. STOP posting the same thing over and over. If you have a question, use the forum for an original topic. Do not post the same thing repeatedly on multiple articles. There's no point. You've been warned.
When originally introduced, King Ghidorah was known as a planet killer. This may be alluding to Ghidorah's original role as a planet destroying super monster. I cannot wait to see what becomes of the third anime film. This is going to be insane!
Looks like King Ghidorah is going to have a golden opportunity in the film (pun not intended)
OH MY GOOOODDD......ZILLA!
Damn.... and I thought King Ghidorah's appearance in a Western Godzilla film was hype enough!
Hype. Hype. Hype. Hype. Hype.
MinecraftDinoKaiju,
No. It's been reported all day. I'll be reporting on it later.
First, no, this is not spam. I'm just asking a question.
And second, am I the only one that knows about this? I found it on tohokingdom.com, and it says, "We are sad to report that actress Yuriko Hoshi has passed away today. Best known as one of the leads in Mothra vs. Godzilla(1964), The Last War (1961) and many other productions, Hoshi was an exceptional and talented actress who will be missed." Does anyone else know about this, or am I the first?

This new Ghidorah might break the record for biggest kaiju, as well as possibly the heaviest. Can you imagine?

Looks awesome! Can't wait for it to be released.
I don't even want to imagine the size of Anime Ghidorah.
This just made things even more interesting. I love the title of this new movie, and I'd honestly prefer them not change it too dramatically from Planet Eater.
As a huge Ghidorah fan, I'm always down for an appearance. I'm wondering how this (speculated) anime version will compare to the Monsterverse incarnation!
It looks more like a starving bipedal stegosaurus, I'll fully judge it when I see the film.
And Titanosaurus' roar honestly never bothered me.
Titanosaurs rules! I felt bad for him through the whole film. He should have been on Godzilla's side but it's a great testament to the big G's power to be able to handle the two most powerful kaiju under the invincible King Ghidorah by himself. It's always nice to see Godzilla take on multiple foes and have it done right. They did us a solid on not killing the mighty Titanosaurs! We need Titanosaurs back and he needs to be indestructible and immortal! Don't bunk him over like they did to Manda a in Final Wars. That was very upsetting.
