I would love to see a cross between Godzilla 64,2001,and 2014.
Bagan should be MonsterVerse's Thanos.
"In time, you will know what's like to finally appear in a Godzilla movie"
-Bagan.
The one shot where girl is standing in front of either multiple screens or windows... with faces behind her... those faces are Ghidorah's faces... at least two of them... and it looks like he just woke up.
you all realize whose faces are behind this terrified little girl. Say Hello to Ghidorah who appears to be waking up.
Now Gman, you stop that you rascal.
In 5 years... Godzilla grew a lot.. and he looks like he's been hitting the gym.
Love the spinal plates. The blue glow... the overall look.
Does he seem taller ?
Bagan confirmed.
Dialogue and scenes are often out of context in a trailer, and sometimes don't even make it into the finished film, so I wouldn't take much from this just yet.
I agree with the hollow earth theory and Godzilla possibly using them to breath and also reptiles also have the ability to slow their heart beat to hold their breath longer and as I said they can also absorb oxygen through their skin Godzilla being a super reptile most likely could do this as an alternative to gills also I'm aware that the showa and shin Godzilla had gills and I don't like them i personally prefer the heisei Godzilla and millennium Godzilla who did not have gills and one chart that showed one of the original godzillas could hold its breath and basically recycle breathe the air it was holding until it needed to breathe again also maybe Godzilla also every now and then surfaces to breathe then submerges again.
That Godzilla shrine is wicked! I got my picture up on there worshipping Godzilla with the old people! Submit to Godzilla! Especially Ghidorah, and then he joins the force. Kong is in deep shit!
Cinema blend just posted something about anguirus and biollante being the 2 other monsters. But it doesn't say anything about a source . ???????????????
Suspensorium,
Yeah the dialog doesn't make the greatest amount of sense. Hopefully there's something to her lines that have been cut or edited for the trailer.
Well, seeing as the MonsterVerse operates with the Hollow Earth theory in mind, it's likely there are dry land caverns where he made landfall.
But even the Showa Godzilla had gills, so...
Just checked, he is going east from there. Possibly to cross South America and get to Rodan or to see the nearest monarch outpost.
Well Godzilla's eyes are bigger this time. I think? They look larger in the banner. So at least I'll be able to see where he is looking (I hope). I never liked how small they were in 2014. It gave the impression he had poor eyesight.
He is heading straight to Antarctica.
I love this shot movement
The one of Ghidorah is really cool. He's just too big to fit the frame, so it adds to the "reality" of it, where it feels like he's just too large for this world.
Totally Godzilla rising out of the water and blowing atomic breath into the sky !
Same here ^
I absolutely love Ghidorah's entrance though! The lightening strike behind him - this film is going to ROCK
I like a lot of his work. The soundtrack and graphics were just about the only good things about the new God of War (Dad of Bore, ugh) but I'm excited nonetheless. I think he's definitely got what it takes to paint an epic soundscape for Godzilla and co. His work on 10 Cloverfield Lane was excellent and I believe that he'll be a wonderful successor to Desplat.
Also, this film seems to have some very intelligent and tasteful sensibilities, specifically shown by the use of Debussy's Claire de Lune in the trailer.
I'm guessing it's a Mothra statue, still, interesting design, lol.
Beautiful! Also, something looks like a Pazuzu statue in the trailer *(From The Exorcist)@1:50ish
Then how did he survive sleeping on the bottom of the ocean for millions of years? I mean I know he might have big lungs but surely no size of lungs can hold air for millions of years. Also, the monsterverse is not the only Godzilla version that has gills. The Showa Godzilla also has gills and so does shin Godzilla.
I honestly don't see the problem with Godzilla having gills. He spent most of his time in the water anyway so why not.
I kinda had the same thought, except I was thinking that we would learn what's being held in each Monarch Outpost.
Welp, it was nice knowing you Kong.
He appears to be heading straight to Antarctica.
I'm interested to know if anyone has any guesses as to what other "Titans" might be at these other sites? Those are really exciting!
Probably some throwaway monsters for Godzilla(Or the other three) to kill.
KaijuWorld, I thought that looked like the San Francisco battle. I’m curious storywise what a flashback from that battle will be used for.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a lower power level Godzilla monster being used as a quick cameo similar to Kamoebas in Tokyo SOS. I’d be excited to see some brand new kaiju as well.
Personally, I think we might get a couple of new monsters.
^
Seeing as the name for all monsters has been changed from Muto to Titans, I think the Mutos can keep their current name seeing as they are the only ones to get that name.
I'd like to see the MUTOs get a name
seeing as we are getting a flashback scene to 2014 (you can actually see that in the trailer), it is highly likely that we are getting to see the Muto's again.
Kong will most likely be teased in the end credit scene, but that might just be a mention and not a full look of him.
@Resurgence - wow... you think they ruined Godzilla ? What trailer did you watch ?
So awesome to hear that Ifukube's Godzilla theme will be featured! This Godzilla film will be taking it to the next level. Adam Wingard will have his work cut out for him to keep up with Dougherty for Godzilla vs. Kong.
Agreed @spi3000, between those two and G.N.A, there's always a steady stream of incredible Godzilla fan art.
