You're right, they do look similar. I think the director said he got the inspiration from this poster, but don't quote me on that.
DarthRaptor97: No worries, but I do notice a resemblance, Ghidorah is wrapping the heads around Godzilla in both posters. Not identical, but Godzilla is facing different directions of course, but there is a certain...similarity.

Is it just me or does that poster kinda reminds me of the 1991 Godzilla vs King Ghidorah movie poster? They are not the same of course, but the positioning of this poster and the 1991 poster does have certain similarities:

While it's not the thing I hated most, as I've never been much of a fan of her, the film is one I deem the worst of the series--For much of the same reasons you went through... Among many others.
OMGodzilla, I was very lucky and was there at the beginning of 2 awesome movie franchises, Godzilla and James Bond. I was 5 in 1962 and saw Godzilla fight King Kong. I had seen the original King Kong movie along with the first 2 Godzilla films prior that. I grew up as a big fan of the Godzilla and had the thrill of being an Atlanta Extra filming on The King Of The Monsters due out May 31st. I met Kyle Chandler and Vera Farmiga and we shot on a huge outdoor set all night long.
Dagon is Godzilla's anscestor, so I guess they are related in some way
There's one I missed. The novelization mentions a Titan named Typhon, but doesn't elaborate beyond the fact he was awakened by Ghidorah. News articles seem to have misspelled this Titan's name as "Typhoon."
Is there an E-book version available?
I've known about this on twitter since 1-2 weeks ago. And I'm honestly glad that this is happening. I would rather actually want this over the crossover between Avengers and Fortnite. I'm glad that this is happening. It's awesome.
