I only need 1 thing... Godzilla victorious.

I have it on PS4 and its my biggest guilty pleasure. I would love for an update with new monsters, but considering the fact that its out of print and has been pulled from the PSN, its never happening. 

The best things about King of the Monsters were Mothra and the final fight! Mothra was always my favourite as a kid, and that scene where she uses her God rays to blow away the storm brought me to tears. The sheer beauty of her is amazing. When Thermonuclear Godzilla used his energy pulse attack, it was in the shape of Mothra's wings and you could hear her too! That part was awesome, it felt sooo good to see Ghidorah get his butt whooped after he just killed Mothra.

My favourite Monsterverse titan is definitely Mothra! I can't express how much I love her, nor can I express how excited I was to see her in top quality CGI on the big screen for the first time! She was so beautiful she literally brought tears to my eyes!

An alien cyborg just does not fit the monsterverse for me.

In Legendary monsterverse Gigan can be a biomechanoid.

And Biollante without human DNA it's not Biollante. Human DNA - this is the essence of this kaiju.

Ooh! Gigan would be an excellent addition to the Monsterverse! A sadistic kaiju to be sure.

KOtM did not disappoint! Looking forward to this one! Even if it might be the last of the Monsterverse.

I think my favorite part of the movie was the marginal improvement over the first; A story more centered around the monsters, more interesting human characters, More monster battles.

Although I'm having the time of my life here, and Mothra will always be my queen, I've gotta play devils advocate and side with my boi Kong on this one. He's got a shot!

By 2020 roughly 50 years will have passed since we last saw Kong. Even in the 70's when he was an adolescent we've seen his intelligence, quick thinking skills (realizing he had a makeshift flail when he was taking on Ramarak), speed and agility, and of course his tremendous strength on full display. Now, give that skillset we saw in K:SI 50 years to grow and mature!

Look, I've seen much more Godzilla movies than Kong movies, I prefer the Big G over ANYONE in the DaiKaiju/Tokusatsu space, but if nothing else you have to at least relent that Kong is a Match for Godzilla. Just a match! You don't have to think he'll win out but if you're writing him off completely then I feel like blind loyalty and nostalgia is clouding your judgement my friends.

When I first played it I approached it like I would any normal game and I wasn't impressed. The controls were clunky and the fights were like something you'd get out of a mid 2000's movie tie-in game.

Later though, after seeing some gameplay on youtube of people who had gotten further along in the game I realized that this wasn't a game for just anyone to pick up. This was a game made with the hardcore fans in mind! Intros that mirror the movies almost perfectly, sparks and the way buildings crumble are again near identical to the Toho classics.

I've heard it described as an "Interactive movie experience" and I think that's a very apt description!

Bandwagon or not, GMKgoji is my preferred Godzilla by far. Him being an amalgamation of vengeful spirits is wholly original, and his return to full fledged villain was much needed for the series at that time I think.

Whoever it is, I would like a remake of the track "The Sleeping Devil" to be remade from the original Godzilla vs. King Kong, but that's a pipe dream at best. :,)

McCrearys' score for KOtM was phenomenal! Every track hits the metaphorical beats it needs to. Definitely my top pick for GvK!!

My favorite titan: Godzilla of course. So much personality and charisma given to him in this one. Quite the leading man.

It was pretty sweet seeing all these monsters I love as a kid on the big screen. I love the music and sounds. We hear a quick old roar of King Ghidorah at one point. The color palette was great too. I'm team Ghidorah all the way.

I love the idea of Giacchino doing a Godzilla track.

and Zimmer is an amazing composer, though i don't think the type of music he composes would be very fitting for these movies.

I see more films coming out if KOTM at least breaks even and GvK does really well.

I want to see characters like Gigan, Biollante, and any of the mecha-kaiju brought into the monsterverse.

I would also like it to remain like a cinematic universe, like have solo gigan, biollante, rodan, and mothra films and stuff like that, and then throw them back into the mix with Godzilla later.

I would also love to see this "Hollow Earth" they keep talking about really explored.

As cool as all this would be, i doubt it'll happen.

The only way Kong wins is because it is an underdog story, and godzilla is probably going to be nerfed in this movie. I hope niether die though, you can have a winner without them killing each other.

Jeez Kong won't be able to defeat Godzilla Kong is shit compared to Godzilla. Godzilla is 999999999999999999999999.9999% of my life and if Kong Wins my life would be ruined unless there was a sequel to that and Godzilla made a comeback but still if Kong Wins well the Monsterverse would actually be over cause Godzilla and his friends and enemies are the real thing that's keeping the Monsterverse thriving is Godzilla and those fan made things like Godzilla and Mothra or King Ghidorah and Biollante. But Kong sucks shit compared to Godzilla the real king and Kong is the only thing that can lose to almost everything shit Zilla could beat him. He's one of things that goes in the shit pile with hedorah and ebirah and gabbera. They all suck like shit. Godzilla is my soul my life is dedicated to him the real king. 

Some of the Godzilla movies have always had a strong environmental theme. KOTM certainly has that too, but neither did it hit you over the head with it. Those who took issue with it says more about their own issues and is not a problem of the movie, per se.

The problem with all this SJW stuff, is that people have too many political agendas when watching movies and just can't let a movie stand on it's own. Yeah, I get it if some movie just want to ram a political message down your throat, you will find it distasteful. But if it is done well, I don't have an issue with it. 

Godzilla the series have always drawn to issues beyond just monster fights, some did it more successfully than others, so I don't think we should give these so-called criticism much attention.

Honestly this movie was everything i ever dreamed of in a “modernized” Godzilla movie. All the monsters were  amazing, even the new ones that hard had any screen time. I honestly can’t pick a favorite Titan; Godzilla, Ghidorah and Rodan stole the show, while unfortunately Mothra somewhat underperformed in the movie. Either way, I had so much fun watching the movie — Saw it 3 times opening weekend, which isn’t a lot compared to other fans, but it’s the most times I’ve ever gone to the movies to watch the same movie, and I plan to watch it a few more times! I absolutely love Godzilla’s alight redesign; they “fixed/improved” a few things that made the 2014 design even better! The new dorsal fins are absolutely beautiful and I hope they keep this design for the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong, can’t wait!!

I adored this movie from top to bottom, but since I have to pick just one part to call my favorite, I suppose the best thing in the movie to me was Mothra's Song.

Aside from the two teaser tracks, I deliberately avoided listening to the Soundtrack before I watched the movie, as I wanted to be surprised as much as possible. Nevertheless I ended up catching a bit of it in that "Making the Music" video, but nothing could have prepared me for the sheer emotional impact it would actually have in the movie. And for as glorious as Godzilla's theme was, it was the integration of Mothra's Song that really floored me. From that first tease at Outpost 61 in the beginning I knew I was in for something really special, and when it finally kicked in during her reveal the audio and visual splendor combined to flip a switch inside and I teared up almost immediately. Throughout the rest of the movie it was utilized at the perfect moments, and once it played in the credits and I didn't have to keep my eyes clear to watch the movie I let the tears roll freely. It was something special.

For my favorite MonsterVerse Titan… The obvious choice would be Godzilla, but I'm going to have to go with Mothra this time. She absolutely stole the show every time she was on screen, her redesign and portrayal as a character were phenomenal.

Just his overall appearance. He looks so cool! very menacing and terrifying while also managing to be a bit friendly looking. Specifically the Legendary Godzilla.

Besides that, it would be the fact that he almost always has a message associated with him in his movies.

KOTM Godzilla has taken the place of favourite godzilla design for me but until recently my favourite was GMK because he just looks extremely menacing

I absolutely loved every second I spent watching Godzilla: King of the monsters! I've been a kaiju fan since I can remember, as a kid I was always more into the whole monster fight movies than disney princess. My favorite part of the film has to be all of the big G's entrances! The buildup towards those moments along with the classic music and that roar. It made me get goosebumps all over my body every single time while I was in the the theater.

My favorite Monsterverse Titan is, without a doubt, the man himself Godzilla, though the Queen of the Monsters is pretty close behind now after KOTM. He's the one that made me fall in love with kaiju and that I've known the longest over the years. I love all the different symbolism and representation he's gotten over the years. He's made to represent humanity's worst side but he's also a protector of earth, he restores balance when humans manage to mess it up, he is Mother nature's equalizer.

Mine is The heisi series and incarnations after that but Godzilla 2019 has to be the best one yet I can't wait to see what their going to do in Godzilla vs Kong.

YeOldFossil I did also consider stuff like that, I thought maybe the fireflies are drawn to her because she glows like they do but the reference to the locust plague of egypt made me wonder if she is actively calling on them

I also thought maybe insects follow her like a god because she is an insect super species which is similar to what you said but I thought of it as maybe they are more like worshipers than an army but again the plague thing made me think they might be an army

If your talking about the Godzilla franchises, my answer is the giant monsters. For Godzilla himself, GIANT ATOMIC BREATHING DINOSAUR OF PURE BADASSARY.

Unpopular opinion, I don’t want Gigan in the monsterverse. An alien cyborg just does not fit the monsterverse for me. I just don’t want Mecha anything really. I would like to see some kind of biollante based titan made from Ghidorah’s dna. Considering he is an alien with super regeneration powers, it would make sense for it to mutate or just regrow itself by taking in DNA from other titans and whatnot turning it into some monstrous beast. But no human DNA.

Bear McCreary needs to return for this. I'd love to see Giacchino take a crack at it, but he's quite expensive. If McCreary can't return, Djawadi would be an excellent substitute.

My favorite thing about him? I'm going to quote the asshole who wrote this article.

Essentially, my favorite thing is how ingrained he is with Japanese culture and how he's opened my mind to learning more about it.

don't know if she can but that was my interpretation as I was watching the movie and I like the idea so I hope that was the intention, I'd love to see her do that some day, if the monsterverse continues I'd like to see her do it in a mothra movie
