(Looks left and right)...YouTube, But you didn’t here that from me.
One of the big selling points of the 2014 movie was to create goodwill with the fans--That meant straying as far from the 98 flick as possible. If we ever see Zilla again it will likely be in a Toho movie before a Hollywood flick. But I don't expect him to ever return to the screen. Even his "return" in 2004 was for a film that flopped hard, so there's not a lot of intensive for Toho either.
Don’t mean to sound like Mr. Krabs but what’s the cheapest way to get them?
I enjoyed the MUTOs designs. It’s original and looks really epic. It’s kinda hard to be original these days when everyone has already thought of everything so the creators did their best and put a spin on it like all the others tried to do. Can’t fault them and say they are less creative than Toho. Anyway, I would enjoy seeing 1998 Godzilla. If I can get a him, I would be pretty happy. He needs another big screen appearance. Hopefully it would wash away the pointless hate he gets.
That’s cool! If you have sometime I suggest you watch them. Godzilla the series is based off the 1998 Godzilla, but many Godzilla fans love it despite their hate for the movie( it was an ok movie, I enjoyed it). The Kong Atlantis cartoon was different from what I expected a Kong cartoon to be but it was still fun to watch. It had actual magic and gods. Kong merged with humans, it was a giant fanfic on screen basically.
I can’t tell you cause I haven’t seen any of the cartoons.
*Sigh* Not the kind of response I was looking for.
I'd appreciate seeing forgotten kaiju given a stronger chance, and perhaps make them stronger in the process. Some notable ones I'd live to see are:
Manda, Varan, Titanosaurus, And I'd kill to see a movie with Godzilla Unleashed (Wii Edition)'s Krystalak.
This cover picture is my work.As a Godzilla fan,I am glad that my painting can be used as the cover of this report. But I hope I can win my consent. My artstation is Fang Pu
From the first time I saw the original USA Godzilla with Raymond Burr I was hooked.
Shameless promotion!!! I actually have two topics I made on this site. One is about the role of Kong and skull island in the monsterverse. It’s really interesting if I say so myself. Another is about what kaiju do people want from the old Godzilla and Kong cartoons in the monstersverse and how you would alter them to fit in better. They didn’t get much attention when I posted them before so show some love! Just upvote them if you want, I want to raise my rep on this site.
TheGman123: Agreed.
I definitely think these 2 won't be actively malicious against Humanity.
However, a stronger case for Godzilla can be made with regards to antagonistic role. He's a "larger picture" kind of Alpha, and thus doesn't pay as much mind to the smaller and more intimate things.
I could definitely see either of your reasons for the fight.*chin stroke.
If they are going to introduce any of the recurring non-kaiju aliens hopefully they look more like Aliens and not Humans with freaky powers, apemen in human skinsuits, or slug aliens masquerading as humans.
I made this fan trailer back in March, kinda late, but I liked this music for the trailer more than the music they chose for the trailers.

Yeah, if I made a video it would be a mess anyway. Sorry about that. My first comment was pretty much the quick summary of those post anyway. While it’s mot as polished as the original, it’s all there and clear I think. They both seem pretty plausible cases for how both can be the “villains” of the movie. I also don’t want to see both Kong and Godzilla become antagonistic to humanity all for the sake of a fight. I want it to be reasonable and fit the monstersverse. These ideas do that pretty well I think. Might not happen in the movie, but if either does I’m buying a lottery ticket lol!
That figure still looks like crap. Aside from that, I can't wait to see what information we get from this SDCC.
Well thanks for the thought lol.
It’s not a really a channel. I don’t post any videos, only comments. But here you go anyway https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCRZriJUfZRi0ruPE9GsVpMg
Could you send a link to your channel? I can’t find it.
They must show the trailer... Just Kidding. I want them to take their time and make the best movie possible.
Godzilla could be the villain, the villain to Kong that is. On YouTube, I go by Dog in a baby seat. I posted a good idea on how they could make Godzilla being an antagonist work without making him angry at humanity. If no one wants to look for it, I understand. In short, Godzilla realizes there are titans on skull island that don’t fully submit to his rule. He comes to conquer it and make them all bow because he is on a power trip of sorts after killing Ghidorah. Kong, the king and alpha of the island, stands his ground and fights to keep his territory. Godzilla is not the villain per say but clearly wants to start trouble. I also posted how they could make Kong a sympathetic antagonist. Kong is forcibly removed from the island so he escapes and is causing destruction trying to find his way home, or the skull crawlers escape the island after the call and Kong leaves to hunt them down destroying a couple cities where the crawlers are setting up base.
To be fair, they could retcon the corpses origins anyway they would like. The pre-novels have been very loosely connected to the movies so I don't a lot of people would really care.
Also, this topic was made 2 years ago which was before anything about KOTM was even revealed so some things in these topics won't hold up as much as they did when I originally uploaded these.
I hope they do. Especially with the big surprise that this version of Ghidorah is an alien, it would be a shame for them to not expand on this concept in future installments (maybe even a civilized alien race like the Xilliens?).
While not necessarily for Godzilla vs. Kong, recent news has me wondering for the current film's box office.
You think maybe they'll also attach a potential trailer for Godzilla vs. Kong with theatre viewings of Godzilla: King of the Monsters as it closes out its theatre run? I think that'd be a good way of hopefully getting in some extra oomph to not end up marked down for losses bar the extended Chinese theatre run.
Maybe the trailer for Godzilla vs. Kong could be attached to it during the release of or a little bit before SDCC's trailer, assuming it gives one out, with a trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters coming out that makes it clear that you can see the trailer early before it's released online.
Your welcome, it just came to me when looking at youtube commits, trope pages, and other sources featuring the SKREEEONGK!
Seeing as King Ghidorah is a bonefide Alien in the Monsterverse. Gigan and Space Godzilla can still be featured if the Monsterverse continues beyond GVK
That Godzilla Skeleton Wasn't a Godzilla Skeleton. It Was The Corpse Of Degon, a Godzilla Like Creature, Who Had MUTO Eggs Layed In Them By The MUTO Prime During Aftershock, And Died From The Infection.
That's Also How The Male MUTO Was Born I Think, Or It Could Be The Female, Or Maybe Both, But Theres No Possible Explanation Of Mechagodzilla Coming In the Monsterverse.
^He uses the Monsterverse design.
I love that this is a topic. Thank you to all involved.
KotM Mothra is best Mothra.
Perhaps for Monsterverse/Legendary Godzilla its Gryaaaaaaaaa-inuuuuuum (like a deep echoing whale)
Exactly, which is what that onomatopoeia was created for as far as I know. With the later Showa era I think if you really rush through the "Gy-" bit it still works just fine. Legendary's roar? Beats me, seems like the sort of noise you'd have to somehow start with a really dry throat and then end with a guttural gurgle-y thing, which I don't think is possible. :P
Okay if he is the ancestor of pterosauromorphs does he resemble more of a basal pterosauromorph or does he resemble a pteranodon? Sorry for these questions, just curious.
Now Gyaooon sounds like the original Godzilla's roar
Yeah. Louisiana and Mississippi is basically gator country, also Alligators are bigger in Louisiana and Mississippi than in Florida. Also the weather pretty unpredictable in Louisiana and its very humid.
No. Because we'll all be dead by that point.
Added some music. Mothra was in Switzerland and Rodan was still at the crater in Siberia because of his heavy injuries. Btw he's an ancestor of pterosaurs in this universe.
