Look at goji 2019 teaser, no kaiju in it, just madison. So I dont expect much

I agree that if they make it a "destroy all monsters" movie, it would flop and the Monsterverse would end.
The various Godzilla continuities have always strayed from their previously established tones. Godzilla '54 dove confidently into Godzilla fighting a three headed space monster on another planet. The Return of Godzilla's cold war, disaster movie feel eventually went into time travel and mechanical monsters based on technology from the future. Even the Kiryu Saga added straight up mysticism by its second film.
In light of this, I say let Godzilla vs. Kong go bonkers. Bonkers is fine--I just want a good bonkers movie in and of itself.
I personally can't see it working either. Mecha-G would ruin the (somewhat) believability that's been established in the MonsterVerse with G14 and KSI. True that the limits were really pushed in KotM (a little too much for me), but adding a ~400' machanical monster is just on a whole other level.
Also, world building is fine if it's done right, but I think that making GvK an all out "destroy all monsters" kaiju flick with ancient, genetically modified, or machanical monsters all going out at eachother would be a huge mistake. The title of the movie is Godzilla vs Kong, and as such I would love for it to be soley focused those two characters. Their emotions and motivations can't get through to the audience if there's more than just their battle going on at the same time, imo. I really don't want Mecha-G in the movie much at all, but I have a feeling that might not be the case.
SarcasticGoji,
What is that suppose to mean?
It is something, so I'll wait
Still no clips, keep in mind they're just scenes.
Ummmmm nvm I guess because both ghidorah’s have good durability so I guess they don’t need regeneration...
None of Toho's source books cite regeneration as an ability for Keizer Ghidorah. He does not have it.
SarcasticGoji,
Most teasers are much longer than that these days. The first teaser trailer for King of the Monsters was 2:30.
I still see no evidence of how or why Kezer or hesei could regenerate, just theory, give me some facts please.
If its a teaser it probably wont even have gojira (or kong), just hint at it. It's a teaser, fifteen seconds. So not much to be excited about
Well, we'll probably get to see Kong throwing his fist at Godzilla's head from the leaks way back when. Whatever the case, i've become blunt to Godzilla news.
You need to read the second statement more clearly too.
Now now this is just my theory since aliens can regenerate
Please..... please be true.
Yeah but regen doesnt always work with monsterverse ghido, it is stated that there has to be a lot of radiation nearby, in the novelization. I dont see the evidence in the article about keizer regenerating.
I don't know what to say.. for no particular reason of course. I'm not as excited for a trailer as i thought i'd be
I edited the article btw
Planning on seeing Inception when it returns to theaters anyway, so if I get a GvK trailer out of it--Cool! If I don't? Is still get a great movie out of it.
Inception is one of my all-time favorites, Dune is one of my most anticipated movies right now (along with Tenet), and I've been waiting for a GvK trailer for a lifetime. This sounds almost too good to be true, though I'm not really sure if this is a good marketing decision on WB's part, depending on when this trailer is released online.
Godzilla will win against kong!
King Of The Monsters > King Of An Island
Um yeah the link to the Reddit cannot fit so I’ll just have to screenshot it.
Here’s my Reddit on why I think it’s unlikely that he can regenerate: https://www.reddit.com/user/Zombiezilla172Fans/comments/hngp4p/can_keizer_ghidorah_and_heisei_king_ghidorah/

I’m not sure where Mecha Godzilla will fit in the film, but Adam Wingard has already said that there will be a definitive winner. I guess Kong is bigger now which kinda gives him more of a chance, but Godzilla is at the peak of his power. Godzilla is also in charge of protecting the world. Kong is only in charge of one little island. I think if they want to continue the monsterverse after GvK, then Godzilla should win so that there are more monsters threatening the world. When the big G wins, maybe him and Kong can work together in another film.
Someone is bound to record and leak it, assuming theaters don't get shut down again...
The trouble I’m having with the film, is that Godzilla is OP. Godzilla 2019 revealed Godzilla’s true capabilities. Godzilla withstood the oxygen destroyer! Kong couldn’t even take napalm!
Don't do that...don't give me hope...
And don't expect me to go out to Inception to see it either. I'll wait until it's online.
Also I don’t think it was his regeneration slowing down his energy draining. Plus, it is very unlikely that Keizer ghidorah COULD regenerate his body parts but he didn’t have time to regenerate his heads because final wars goji killed him in the matter of moments.
I guess godzilla earth would win but I still think it would be more of a match because of keizer’s energy draining is an absolute wild card.
Godzilla Dominion and Kingdom Kong. I love the titles. I'm glad that Legendary makes these graphic novels to expand the lore of the Monsterverse. I can't wait for these to come out.
Not a big deal the figure itself and as a "event exclusive" it will be practically a Ebay exclusive...
Godzilla. He has a more important role to the planet's survival in the grand scheme of things, whereas Kong just watches over one small part of it. He's the worlds best defense against things like the MUTOs or Ghidorah.
