Well just because it's classical instruments doesn't mean it's good. And all the chances in the music is predictable because it sounds like a really generic Danny Elfman score. And I didn't say all 90's soundracks are bad I just said it sounded like a generic 90's soundrack like Batman & Robin, hell even the opening to this godzilla track is taken from Batman.
I hope it gets better because if this is what they chose to be the opening track and set the tone of the movie I don't know what to think anymore. When I saw the first teaser from comic-con I was happy that they used the soundtrack from 2001 and even if they later changed the tone on the trailers from the first official one to the latter ones it still had the same music and when they used Stars Of The Lid I was happy to because that's great emotional music but this?.... I have no idea what's coming.
Yeah, that definitely was the track that I got, the title it shows is, "Godzilla!".
I don't understand this. The music sounds great to me. Maintains the modern sensibilities, but does something most score pieces don't do these days: Use large orchestral instruments and unpredictable changes for a more sonic piece of music.
And what's wrong with 1990s style soundtracks? Jurassic Park, Independence Day, Crimson Tide, Batman Returns, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Apollo 13, Hook, Stargate, Braveheart, Star Treks VI-VIII, The Shadow, The Mummy and Starship Troopers all have scores that blow most of the last decade out of the water.
And from the leaked Wondercon footage, Desplat's sound for this movie does work.
oh shit that terrible news. Sounds like a song from Batman & Robin or something. The most generic 90's styled movie soundtrack I've heard in a long time, it might as well been in the 98 Godzilla movie. That song goes against the whole tone that's been set up by the trailers... I really hope it works in context to the movie but it's soo bland I can't see how it would make it better.
There's something so cringe-inducing about watching a lame reporter try to pull information from the director.
@Philizawa
Why? It's an awesome track.
Awesome! I really love a scary Godzilla!

She seems to have retired from acting, so I doubt she'll re-appear in anything again. And certainly don't think she will ever reprise the role of Miki since that character was exclusive to the Heisei movies. I doubt Toho will ever continue the Heisei timeline.
Yes it was established awhile ago that Fandango is giving out the first track to the soundtrack if you pre-order tickets from them.
@Philizawa
It's real and it's the opening track of the film.
true, agression and anger are different, for example, the joker is aggressive but definetly not angry
Not happening with box office numbers.
Actually, Anguirus has won 2 fights. He beat King Ghidorah in Destroy All Monsters. And he beat King Ghidorah and Gigan in Godzilla vs Gigan. Sure he had help in both instances and he got his ass kicked throughout the fights, but he still won.
The first official teaser trailer. I'm a little sad that the tone from that one is completely gone.
But after that trailer I would say my two fan made ones ;D
Lol, no. It would be great, but the big guy doesn't have the same appeal as super heros do. Little kids LOVE Marvel as much as adults. they are indoctrinated into marvel early with cartoons, and by the time they are old enough to watch the movies, they are familiar with the whole universe. Godzilla is popular, and been around for a while, but his long absence in the states will hurt his box office numbers.
It's a nice way of looking at things, but unfortunately you're projecting human emotions onto an animal. That doesn't work. Godzilla looks angry because of the skeletal structure in his face. He always looks angry basically. You'll never see a creature like Godzilla smile or look happy. His actions do the talking for him.
When he faces off against the Muto in the wondercon footage, he does so with aggression, not anger. They are two different emotional and mental states. Many people mistake aggression with anger, but you can be aggressive wihtout being angry.
The age of heroes is over, the rein of the King begins.
To me, that's how it should be.
is it this one? because I really hope that it's a fake

What Danielle says :D:D:D
If TOHO finally makes another Godzilla movie then Megumi Odaka Should probably be in it as Miki Saegusa because she's the only person that seems to like Godzilla And Godzilla Junior.
If TOHO finally makes a sequel to Godzilla vs Destroyah, then they should make Godzilla look the same as they did in the other new Godzilla movies and they should probably use some CGI as long as they don't make him look mean if he's supposed to be the good monster that protects earth, and they should make Godzilla and Godzilla Junior be alive in the next movie because if Godzilla died or if Godzilla junior died, then whichever one's still alive is going to be pretty mad at the humans ifit sees the other one dead.
He had a look similar to what most animals look like when they approach/smell a rival.
Kinda like this:

10/10 For everything because I am currently blinded by hype :D
It's titled "Godzilla!"
It is a promotional thing to get people to pre order the tickets. And if you do not mind what is the title of song you received
Everythins is out of 10.
cg - 7.5 (middle of the road where its not terrible, but it also isn't anything that pushes the boundaries, but it's still good.)
Actors - 8 (overall acting score from actors/actresses we've seen. some dialogue execution worries me about the other actors, but Cranston pushes it up to 8)
Music - 7 (again not bad, it works good enough)
Godzilla Design - 9
Muto Design - 7
I'm loving the new roar.
The ComicCon concept trailer from 2012. It set a basis for Gfans on what to expect, and it captured the overall terror that Godzilla induces.
Definitely the face and pose he makes before bellowing at the Winged Muto during the Airport scene. Good Lord, that's powerful.
I only chose Godzilla monsters for my list. I'm still working on my favorite monsters in general list.
10. Gino
Just because he sucks as a Godzilla, doesn't mean he isn't a cool monster (same goes for hs son).
9. Gorosaurus
His design is nothing spectacular, but his fighting style and overall peronality always entertains me!
8. Mutos
These guys are the first original Godzilla monster in 10 years. They mark a new begining for Godzilla monsters, and they have a slick, scary design to them. They resemble a demon if anything.
7. Gabara (yes, I'm serious.)
His roar is an evil laugh. He's pretty much the Freddy Krueger of the Godzilla universe (ie. he exists only in dreams, terrifying people into shock, hence the lightning hands).
6. Anguirus
C'mon who doesn't like this guy? Even though he has never won a battle, his fighting spirit and loyalty always draws people towards him.
5. M.O.G.U.E.R.A
This redesign of the mech from The Mysterians, has a lot of high-tech weaponry and a sleak, futuristic look. He dances when he is victorious, and his roar is that of a Pokemon. He's just...awesome.
4. Mothra (Leo, in particular)
Mothra is one of the very few monsters that chooses to be good. I always admire the monsters that are sided with the good-guys, and Mothra is a fine example of one. If she destroys a city it's because the twins are taken away from her, due to man.
3. Kumonga
Kumonga is one of the most terrifying monsters in the Godzilla films. She brutally kills, and feasts on everything that moves, including humans. Her venomous stinger and paralyzing webbing was a true challenge for Godzilla. Plus, spiders are my favorite animal.
2. MechaGodzilla 2
Probably the most successful of the three, Mechagodzilla 2 has a vast arrangement of arms and weapons that pose a challenge to the strongest of monsters. Had it not been for Fire Rodan, Mechagodzilla 2 would have been the first man-made creation to kill Godzilla.
1. Orga
No words. He's just so freakin' awesome.
Yeah he did look pretty pissed off at the little guy.
im pretty sure he's just doing a cameo appearance.
can i say wondercon footage but if not internatinal trailer
well bass island heard was filled with radiation but that only mutated him but i agree with everyone he is immortal
I used to hate Mothra vs. Godzilla when I was a kid. There's a lot of plot development before Godzilla arrives and of course, Big G loses to a couple of grubs that shoot silly string. However, after a couple of viewings lately (including one with my mother-in-law, she's a fan. Who knew?) I've grown much more fond of it. It's just a well put together film with great SFX, thoughtful storytelling and enough camp sprinkled on top. It now inhabits my top 5, I believe.
no nothing yet
Akira Takarada will only be making a cameo in the airport scene.
He won't star as Serizawa.
I wouldn't say angry as in human angry like if some stole my wallet but rather an animal angry like you would see between a snake and a mongoose.
