@DEVIANTEIST - You're exactly right :) A large portion of final wars Godzilla's fights fall under CIS and PIS. This is the sole reason why I dissect his feats in the film the way I do, avoiding the topic of the difficulty of his battles and focusing on individual things like the strength of his atomic breath, its range, explosive power, his durability and stamina, and finally his physical power. In the end, his battle with Monster X is probably the best fight to look at when gauging his power. They battled as equals and put on a show worthy of any Shonen anime, both tanking serious damage from each other and beam clashing - in one instance the resulting explosion was so big, someone felt the need to break it down:
So realistically, its impossible for Final Wars Godzilla to be the weaker incarnation beacuse when you look at his feats you can't arrive at that conclusion. The ONE fight that we can actually take seriously in the film is actually all we need in order to measure his power. Eh, that's just spewing self-fulfilling prophecy.
The movie is ALREADY tracking into the 500 mil ballpark. So when it gets that much you get to be 'right' and say 'i told you so'......even though Godzilla was NEVER poised to break 800 mil-1 bil, MUTO or otherwise.
I'm thinking that there should be something from Godzilla vs Biollante but will have to research it. This a really fun topic. Feels like a Godzilla scavenger hunt.

Still not entirely convinced those are "gills". Many other Godzilla suits and designs have had slits on their neck just like this one, and those weren't gills. Yes, he is largely aquatic. But there were several aquatic dinosaurs that didn't have gills. Either way, I'm happy with this new Godzilla.

Looks like you are gonna be very dissapointed. This movie is tracking great. The MUTO will be there throughout the entire film. If they we`rent, they would be pointless. Monster battles are in most Godzilla films, everyone else wanted it to happen.
Yeah, I feel like Godzilla will not be invincible in this movie. And that's probably for the best. Invincible characters really kill suspense.
Godzilla surviving nukes I think has more to do with the fact that he feeds on radiation rather than he's able to survive that kind of force. So the damage from the bomb gets cancelled out by the nuclear radiation healing him or growing him or something.
However, if you hit Godzilla with a nuclear sized blast that came from something OTHER than a nuclear bomb, at least in this movie, it totally would kill him. Unfortunately for the humans, no such weapon exists.....other than the MUTO perhaps? :-)
Anyways, yeah, Godzilla is still going to be hella durable I think in this movie. But I think our weapons will do at least some damage.
That was really cool. It always thrills me to hear filmakers/actors talk about the movie they're in. Can't wait.
Personal Nit-Pick: What's with the "This film is not yet rated," bit? The PG-13 was revealed more than a week ago.

I fully agree with you. I'm super hyped and have had the childlike hope that Godzilla will take home the big awards. But if it's a good movie and blows me away (I have very little doubt that it will), I'd be perfectly happy.
That's an awesome poster. Just another promotion detail that makes the movie look that much more awesome. Can't wait. Less than three weeks to go.

I believe Godzilla 2014 Rules is talking about the random little advertisements that appear near the bottom corners of the screen during a sports event.

The big news here may be revealed in the text on the pages revealed here! One appears to show a jungle environment, and the text mentions the "MUTO's natural force field" turning off the power around it!!!! It looks like our predictions about the MUTO's having an EMP-like efect on their environment were right! :D Lets see what else we can find!
In fact, now that I think about it, most, if not all, of Final Wars is PIS and CIS.

@Durp004- While you make great points, virtually all of them fall under PIS and/or CIS, so they don't really prove anything. Especially the Gigan and Rodan/Anguirus/King C. stuff.
