Listen, human characters feel rather forced and unjustified these days. The only characters that I felt had a justified reason to show up were the Brodys and the Russells and even then they were largely unneeded.
Well what else can I say but Ok
But seriously I’m excited.
monsterzero9 it's supposed to promote stuff, but you're right.
I love all of the Godzilla suits. If I had to pick one, it'd probably be one of the Monsterverse/ legendary era Godzillas. They have such great details and they look so realistic!
what exactly does this have to do with godzilla?
*cough*invasion of astro-monster*cough*
That's tokyo S.O.S mothra.. I think
Even though the movies mostly focus on kaijus, the human characters still count as well. There are a few movies in which a human helps Godzilla defeat a kaiju. An example is Godzilla (2014). It would either be a short, mini movie or Godzilla would've been killed.
HinikunaGoji,
I guess if it's a Disney situation and they talk and sing. Otherwise, the furthest this concept could get as a viable storytelling piece is a short.
Reign of Fire
I've seen that movie when it first came out in theaters
Exactly.
You could have a kaiju movie without humans and having it focus on the monsters and anthropomorphizing them.
It depends on what story you want to tell.
Ummmm depends if they are crucial to the plot like the Fords from 2014 or Emiko and Serizawa from the 1954 original

Yes but it was Kong that surfaced, Godzilla was no where in sight, his fate was unknown until the obvious sequel Ghidorah: The Three Headed Monster
So I was looking for examples of a fight where a reptile beats an ape...
Does this count?
But it was technically a draw, Godzilla probably swam back to his lair and Kong headed back to land. So no real winner.
Kong won last time in the 1962 movie
Even if it was obvious, the monke should've won.
Tokyo SOS no mosura, is better grammatically
I would post the written form but The website doesn’t like non English characters, and I can’t cheat the system.
beeg lizerd beat beeg monke weeth axe.

*is sent to the insane asylum*
Without a doubt Godzilla won against Kong
I also think it's an introduction to Ghidorah's movie.
Thanks for the help in interpretation. I could not understand for a long time what this quote could mean too... I remembered this site https://freebooksummary.com/category/the-crucible-quotes, which often helped me understand the meaning of this or that phrase from any work. For example, there I found many quotes from The Crucible, and on the site, I also read their meaning. Try to search there and about Godzilla. Good luck!
Bandai figure based on the 2003 Mothra, I have the same figure.
its on yt, just scroll through it
"That being said i find it odd that he doesn't use his electric beam at any point during his fight between Godzilla and Jet Jaguar"
Now I have to rewatch this movie. I don't think I've ever noticed this--Granted I don't watch Megalon often.
Given Jet Jaguar made a recent return based on his popularity, and the new Kumonga were designed as an homage to Megalon, I think the chances of the monster's return aren't bad. Although the movie's reevaluation over the years is not one I agree with, the sort of cult status it has within the franchise doesn't seem to be lost on Toho. We'll see Megalon again at some point.
Also, if anybody has seen ape vs monster, tell me who wins, because I'm not willing to spend 2 hours watching a poor mockbuster film unless I'm really wanting to waste time.
SasquaDash valid point there.
Some of the humans make it out alive, but most of the time they survive by retreating and leaving the islands, which could count as being defeated.
I personally found him to be rather cool if odd-looking insectoid monster considering that he's a giant drill-handed rhino beetle who lives underground and is controlled by underground people (i.e. The Seatopians) who want to destroy humanity. Add to the fact that he appeared in one of the more goofy and nonsensical movies of the entire Godzilla series makes him even more iconic and unforgettable. That being said i find it odd that he doesn't use his electric beam at any point during his fight between Godzilla and Jet Jaguar considering that he used it when destroying those army tanks and buildings. Add to the fact that he was shown to be rather clueless and weak when it came to fighting makes him kinda pathetic even by kaiju standards. But other than that i don't mind Megalon at all and i hope that Toho would give him more screentime in a future movie.
what makes a mediocre human characters is a combination of acting and writing.
A quiet place 1 does an amazing job, there is little dialogue but the writing is still there and performances are outstanding. It’s not that writing was in there because it was. It’s just blended well
