Yeah, the movie is old enough that I don't see the need for something like that. Also it was the 50th anniversary film. It bombed, but it was pretty high profile for the time. Even later trailers in 2004 showed Monster X transforming into Kaiser Ghidorah.

As for "the POSSIBLY SPOILED 1-on-1 battle against Godzilla and Ghidorah.", why should you feel it is spoiled? It's really common sense that it would be that, since it is a common theme for there to be a final battle between the hero and their arch-nemesis in the climax.

Moldovan0731 You're not alone. I'm also in the minority, although I feel like it was a pretty good try with the 2019 version. Basically, I like the 2014 version more, but I give them credit for trying for the 2019 version.

I've loved the spines, and said so, after seeing them in the very first trailer. '54, my favorite!

godzilla3580 well actually, in the second trailer when we see Mothra flying through (I think) Ghidorah's storm clouds, if you pause it at the right time and look over by Mothra, you can kind of see some sort of thing that is on fire. People are speculating that this is Rodan charging into battle with Mothra. I'm not sure if the final fight is going to be between Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah, with it being a 3v1 against Ghidorah, or the POSSIBLY SPOILED 1-on-1 battle against Godzilla and Ghidorah. I'll try and outline what I'm talking about between the whole thing with Rodan and Mothra charging into battle. 

Eh, the Jakks Pacific figures are more for little kids.

Yup, the spines really improve Godzilla's look for 2019, no question about that. And the bigger feet claws also helps make him look a little more balanced. 

Wow the spines make a huge difference. It almost makes me wonder how most fans gave the 2014 variation a pass. Very cool.

This tease has me super hyped, especially because I didn't want Rodan to be a "bad guy", but also a little sad, because I was really hoping to see (at least for a moment) all three monsters teaming up against Ghidorah. This image, plus the fact that there's no evidence that Rodan shows up at the climax doesn't bode well for our pterodactyl boi

in all fairness to the mothra mask, she does look pretty creepy in the KOTM trailer. I think the Mothra mask is pretty movie accurate

Love the comparisons, but one quick question: Why is the tail on the 2019 one shorter than the tail of the 2014 one? It looks weird from a certain angle, and it's kind of bizarre. Other than that, they look awesome. Nice find.
