This was a really cool site.
It might not be working because i'm using a chromebook?
RRRRRRRRRGH
That was fun. I unlocked everything quickly. Can we talk about the fact that Mothra can use her silk in her adult form in the Monsterverse incarnation? That's cool. So can her larva form still use the silk too? So many questions. 15 days until I can get answers.
Yeah, I really wish the people running the site weren't so woefully incompetent. How did they manage to get so much wrong? I really wish it was run by actual staff with knowledge. I know Toho would never let such inaccuracies be present. This is why Toho should stop giving their licenses to unproven people, they mess things up. First Polygon fucks up the anime trilogy, now whoever runs Godzilla.com is making it a joke. And to he fair, did we even NEED Godzilla.com? We have so many other established sites. This one here, Wikizilla, Tohokingdom, G-Fan, et cetera, et cetera.
Thanks for the help, but it does not work for me. It's really weird
They're the little circles. When you hover over them, they get the 4-direction move symbol like when you move an image in MS Word.
And yeah, this version of Ghidorah is most definitely the largest live-action film incarnation to date.
So i went on the website and i'm having some technical difficulties. I can't seem to do anything. It says to pinch and drag control points but uh.... where are these control points? i'm so confused
MY GOD!
Ghidorah is a THICC boi
But oh man, Rodan's fire being 1200 celsius? Holy macaroni
Crow, I have to tell you how fantastic these are. Are you working on these anymore? I am saddened to see my others not as beautiful as these on my shelf.
^Ironically, a modified Rodan prop from prior films.
Alrighty then. I'm here. And I want to clarify: When I said I was annoyed by Rodan with feathers, I was saying that it reminded me too much of this guy:
That was all I wanted to say. You're welcome, everyone. And btw, I know Rodan had feathers in his design as an early concept (both in the original and here), but this version's early concept reminded me more of the giant condor than the original's early concept design. At least that one looked reasonable.
Official sites rarely ever compare to fan generated communities anyway. Wikizilla and sites like this one will still thrive because our platforms were designed by fans, for fans, not a third party marketing firm. That's the beauty of fan sites and why they'll never fall prey to big wig sites.
The paintings has a surreal yet very detailed and jaw-dropping style.
MothraZillaKaiju7: To be honest, the traditional Rodan is pretty far from a strict pteranodan in terms of accurate biological shape, if you are strict about these things.
Sorry about misinterpreting things. I don't generally participate in livestreams, so I didn't know.
The livestream, which I took part in, was entirely meant as a joke. Godzilla.com just launched a week ago and is clearly not finished. We just decided to do a stream and sarcastically riff on it by nitpicking silly things that only people editing a wiki would even care about while also pointing out the obvious actual errors like the ones GMan just posted. We didn't do the stream out of some insecurity that Wikizilla was threatened by the new site, in fact that didn't cross our minds at all. It's also not a legitimate concern given the current state Godzilla.com is in. The comedic nature of the stream should have been evident from the title alone.
^I should clarify: That was an early concept for Rodan. Obviously not the final design for the original film. Although this early design did make it to the poster:
Wish they had given King Ghidorah his mane back.
MDK 2 (MinecraftDinoKaiju),
They may have been referencing Rodan's original design for the 1956 film:

It looks awesome, but I am still bothered by "Rodan the Giant Condor". Still glad they decided to not go that route, but they should've had the latter mindset sooner.
Awesome, but why are all the images kinda fuzzy?
"Godzilla.com will be continuously updated as a source of news for upcoming Godzilla films including movie trailers and key art, events, fan content, new product news, and all future announcements. It will also be a resource for Godzilla’s complete filmography including rare videos, wallpaper and much more destructive content including updates on epic Godzilla toys, apparel and lifestyle products."
Now why does that sound familiar? Lol ;)
Members of Box Office Theory are allegedly saying that the movie is doing respectable numbers in pre-sales. Should any of this be true, we could potentially be looking at a $60 million+ opening, but no one's sharing this data, so the source relies completely on hearsay. I'd say it's likely though.
Some reliable voices on the site are also talking about the Chinese box office opening weekend being $65 million, which is encouraging. The 2014 movie made a total of $77 million in China. Skull Island made $168 million total in China.
TheGMan123,
They have reason not to like it. It's woefully inaccurate.

The livestream was done hours ago, and I don't think they've archived it at all. All I know is that, based on what I saw, Wikizilla's staff don't like the new Godzilla.com website serving as the official stop for learning about the franchise.
do you have a link to the vid?
Wikizilla's channel recently did some kind of livestream. I didn't watch it myself, but they titled it as "destroying Godzilla.com with facts", that sorta thing.
Seems like they don't think that site is good enough to be THE source of franchise facts and history.
The fact that the movie is opening in China on the same day as the rest of the world might help things out.
As well, WB has had a good track record recently with surprise successes. Pretty sure NO ONE expected Aquaman to do as well as it did given the box office tracking and DCEU's franchise history.
Of course, before you all write off this movie as a box office failure, let's see how it actually do. And there is always the international box office...
Well, I guess Warner and Legendary better improve their marketing pronto.
Well, considering Shin Godzilla and Neo Genesis Evangelion came from the same director, it does kinda make sense to have this sort of attraction.
This is some of the most disheartening data yet. According to Box Office Pro Godzilla is simply not trending as well as other movies on social media. It did not crack the top 5 trending unreleased movies on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. Instead movies much further out are trending better, with the exception of John Wick and Aladdin. Spider-Man: Far From Home seems to be winning this one.
Seems there's just not much hype for the movie outside the rabid fanbase.
You can see the data here.
I know Mothra was the hardest to design and most controversial of the kaiju because it looks quite different from it's previous incarnations. But you know what? I'm actually ok with this design. The legs make Mothra more able to defend and attack. It gives more of an impression that it can cause damage to other kaijus if they decide to mess with Mothra.
The Return of Godzilla: We finally leave the campy kawaii Godzilla to go back to his dark and somber roots. Weirdly, Kraken gives a preface saying that the views expressed in this film don’t necessarily reflect theirs. I don’t get what was so offensive, I think not wanting to get nuked in a Soviet-American War is pretty reasonable to me. Some characters were good but other felt a little undercooked to me. The main character is interesting because he has somewhat of a grey morality. He’s certainly willing to help people, but at the same time he takes advantage of people and seems to care more about his job than anything else. The prime minister is by far my favorite character. He has great internal struggle over whether or not to use the atom bomb. In the end he choose his own convictions rather than give into the pressure of America and Russia. He was able to stay calm in very tense situations that I think would make most others crack. I know some people find him annoying, but I dig the hobo guy. Seeing him trash talk a monster that could easily step on him and probably didn’t know what he’s saying was just really funny to me. If we count both America and Soviet Russia as “characters”, I liked how neither side of the Cold War was really vilified. Both are sort of grey like the main character. Both pose a threat with the use of nuclear weapons and both use Japan for their own gains, but at the same time they do some good in the film as well. The Russian guy tried to stop the nuke from launching and America helped stop the nuke from destroying Tokyo. Other than that, no characters really stood out to me. Dr Hayashida was semi-interesting with his past history with Godzilla as well as the girl whose name I can’t remember when she is exploited by the main character, but other than that they feel kinda static to me. Another example of wasted development was the brother. They could have easily dove into the trauma he must be dealing with because of the horrific killings of his friends he witnessed by the sea louse, and they kinda did that a little bit but it’s barely shown and instead most of the time he pulls a Haruo and goes on about how he hates Godzilla. I’d like to point out that while some characters didn’t seem interesting to me, I though most of the actors acted pretty well, whether the character they were playing was interesting or not. The models are finally back to the high quality and must of took a lot of time and work. We also see the affect the destruction has on the people again and your left with the same grim feeling from 54. If I had one major complaint, it’s Godzilla’s appearance. I like the cybot Godzilla, it looks good, and the suit looks okay from some angles but at others he just looks awful. He looks incredibly derpy and looks like he got stoned or something. But besides that I really liked this film, I give it a 4/5.
It's 9.65 dollars in U.S. money
It looks like a tribute to 1991 film! https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/91ZMClbw75L._SY606_.jpg
