OMGodzilla, I was very lucky and was there at the beginning of 2 awesome movie franchises, Godzilla and James Bond. I was 5 in 1962 and saw Godzilla fight King Kong. I had seen the original King Kong movie along with the first 2 Godzilla films prior that. I grew up as a big fan of the Godzilla and had the thrill of being an Atlanta Extra filming on The King Of The Monsters due out May 31st. I met Kyle Chandler and Vera Farmiga and we shot on a huge outdoor set all night long.
Dagon is Godzilla's anscestor, so I guess they are related in some way
There's one I missed. The novelization mentions a Titan named Typhon, but doesn't elaborate beyond the fact he was awakened by Ghidorah. News articles seem to have misspelled this Titan's name as "Typhoon."
Is there an E-book version available?
I've known about this on twitter since 1-2 weeks ago. And I'm honestly glad that this is happening. I would rather actually want this over the crossover between Avengers and Fortnite. I'm glad that this is happening. It's awesome.

Understandable
Looks decent. But I need to read it before I can actually form a solid opinion on it. But that's just me.
It sounds awesome.I just hope that those who like the Monsterverse Incarnation would also look at the other incarnations and appreciate those incarnations (and the entirety of the series in general) as well. But who knows? (Insert my forum signature here.)
Is Dagon related to the current Monsterverse Godzilla in any way? (i.e: maybe his father)
Gman: Thanks. I just can’t repeat enough how badly the writers ruined Miki. It was the thing I hated most in the film.
Yes, I was saying that is my favorite version.
Why choosing when you can love them all??
Hi there! I’ve been a Godzilla fan since I was four years old. I loved dinosaurs as a tyke, so my parents got me a Godzilla tape from somewhere, and it’s been a lifelong relationship ever since. My very first movie was Godzilla vs Gigan, and I used to be afraid of the giant cockroaches! I still have my first Godzilla toy from K-Mart.
gIvE mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee credit for finding these things!
Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla: Oh boy, this movie. So far the bad films in the Heisei series have just been boring, but at times this one can be infuriating. The only positives I can say about this movie is Godzilla design looks good and LittleGodzilla looks cute. Absolutely none of the characters are interesting or have depth. Yuki is almost an exact copy of Haruo and the two main guys are extremely bland. Mrs Gondo takes Miki’s role of being an exposition piece rather than a character. The obviously evil guy who kidnaps Miki has so little and such a cliche motivation it’s laughable. When Miki asks why he’s doing it, he literally says what almost every poorly written villain would say: power. I said this movie infuriated me, but the only real reason was what the writers did to Miki. Where do I start with her?! She suddenly has some kind of bond to Mothra through some earrings, but they never showed this at the end of Godzilla vs Mothra or through the entirety of Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla 1993. Her ESP is suddenly so powerful now that she can move stuff like a Jedi. It has never been indicated that any psychics were able to do this. Their powers only extended to mind control, being able to feel the presence of things far away, and prophecy. This sudden new ability feels like total plot armor. But the worst thing they did to her is how she reacted to people who disagreed with her about Godzilla’s right to live. Now I agree with her that humanity should find a way to make peace with Godzilla rather than try to kill or control him. But instead of trying to make them see her point of view, she just insults, belittles, or goes on a tirade on somebody who disagrees with her. It feels so self-righteous and holier than thou. Let’s also not forgot she had the opinion of killing Godzilla only a year prior. She completely forgets why people still justifiably want Godzilla dead. Even though after MechaGodzilla 1993 he hasn’t caused destruction and just hanged out with his son, the scars of the destruction and death he caused in the past are still their. She should have been able to see both sides which would allow her to better get people on her side because she understands . But instead she just whines and puts down anyone who disagrees with her. Also, the fact that the fairies say that she saved earth is a complete lie. She did absolutely nothing. The most confusing thing she says in the film is that SpaceGodzilla had the same “feelings” as Godzilla. No he didn’t! Godzilla only ever killed or destroyed out of anger or instinct, but SpaceGodzilla seemed to be a truely malevolent and malicious entity. Speaking of SpaceGodzilla, like a lot of monsters in the Heisei series at this point, he suffers from the same extreme stiffness disorder as his predecessors. Because of that, the beam spamming is at its worse. Good luck keeping your eyes open during the monster battles. Moguera is completely pathetic and shouldn’t have ever been called “the ultimate Godzilla killing machine”. The models have seem to got a lot worse. The most egregious instance is the Space battle. You can see the strings on SpaceGodzilla and Moguera and the meteors don’t even move. This movie is only for the the really hardcore fans who don’t mind going through pain, I give this garbage fire a 1/5.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEs!
I already have my book on pre-order!
Kawakita's inability to convincingly show monsters flying doesn't improve. If there's a monster in-flight during the Heisei series, it looks like a stiff, slow prop.
Strathairn already has more scenes in this than I expected. Starting to wonder why he wasn't given higher billing--Just based on his name anyway.
I CAN'T GIVE IN!!!! 10 MORE DAYS, LAZY, 10 MORE DAYS!!!!
Thank you The King of the Monsters. I think I will end up getting the film novelization now.
The King of the Monsters- That description of the spider titan kinda matches with those "leaked" designs that we saw here not to long ago.
The novelization thing isn't really a leak, it's an official preview which you can exploit to find mentions of keywords anywhere in the novel.
Spoilers from the novelization follow. I'm not sure if all of these apply to the film as well, but based on what I know at least some do.
MUTO Prime's carcass appears being dissected along with both the carcasses of the male and female MUTOs. Both MUTOs are shown repeatedly through stock footage, and a second, living male MUTO is one of the Titans awakened by Ghidorah and is present for the film's final scene.
Shinomura is mentioned by name in a recap of Monarch's origins and Godzilla's discovery.
As mentioned already, Methuselah is the mountain Titan from Germany. He's described as a horned monster with a mountain on his back. Scylla is a tentacled spider-like monster from Arizona, and is specified as female. Behemoth appears from Brazil, and its most notable feature are its colossal tusks.
Other Titans include the Leviathan from Loch Ness, the Kraken, and Mokele-Mbembe which appears in Sudan. The carcass of a Titan called Margygr, named after a mermaid from Greenland's mythology, appears as a carcass. It is described as a reptilian humanoid monster with nostrils above its eyes.
Kong, full designation Titanus Kong, is mentioned and shown on video footage several times. There is a scene later in the story where he is actually described while hanging out on Skull Island.
Leafwings escape containment on Skull Island and show up at the very end of the story.
Again, not sure if all of these makes it into the film as well, but this is all definitely in the novelization. Novelizations are known to have some elements and scenes not present in the film itself, and this was the case with G14.
A leaked preveiw of the official novel dropped on google books
OH MY GOD IT'S THE METHUSELAH HONEYSUCKLE!!!! Props to you if you get that reference
YOIS!!!!!! Great job, looking forward to the final installment!
Source? Aside from Dagon. I also read Godzilla Aftershock
Lol this chat devolved into memes. That’s not a bad thing, I love it!
Second Chapter is out.Oh and by the way,Ghidorah will only have three chapters,Mothra will have two.I'm still trying to figure out how many chapters for Godzilla
Thanks Goji!

You know, I'd love to see a conversation between Lockwood, John Hammond, Ray Arnold, Muldoon, Robert Tembo, Dr. Wu, and Dr. Serizawa. That would be pretty interesting and funny. Would be nice to see old partners joke and argue, and see the idealogical differences between Lockwood, Hammond, Dr. Wu, and Dr. Serizawa. Also just have Muldoon and Tembert talk about previous hunts, would be pretty cool. And just have them laugh in the face of Wheatley or whatever the name was of the hunter from JWFK.
I just need to wait 10 more days... HOLD STRONG!!!!
Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla 1993: It’s better than Godzilla vs Mothra, but in the end it’s still just a meh movie. Let’s start with the positives. Miki Saegusa finally starts to become an interesting character when she has an internal struggle over killing Godzilla. Similar to Serizawa, she ends up begrudgingly attempting to kill Godzilla instead of following her own personal convictions. It’s a nice contrast, since many characters in the Heisei series ended up following their convictions rather than pressure from other people. I really liked the relationship between Azsuma and BabyGodzilla, I think it was well written and it gave me a Hiccup-Toothless vibe. The lead pilot of MechaGodzilla was entertaining because he was so over the top angry all the time. It was interesting to see Rodan become a somewhat more benevolent creature, being fiercely protective of his half-brother BabyGodzilla and giving his energy to Godzilla right before his death. BabyGodzilla looks so much better than Minya, and actually looks cute this time! Besides that, everything is just kind of meh. The main character is alright, but to me he just seems to be a generic goofball/loser/outcast type with not a lot of depth. My main complaints from the movie actually mostly stem from the monster scenes. Rodan’s puppet is extremely stiff like Mothra and his movements don’t look realistic at all. However, I actually liked his fight with Godzilla cause there were actually a lot of physical attacks. MechaGodzilla is the most stiff however. The effect guys need to stop making their suits so big, it can barely walk! Because of that, the beam spamming during the MechaGodzilla scenes are in full force, and it just becomes agonizing after awhile. And it may sound weird saying this, but I think they actually showed to much Godzilla. He’s on screen way to long and you start to lose that feeling of awe and dread when he’s usually on screen. It seems this movie is plagued with filler from the monster scenes cause they couldn’t figure out anything interesting for the human characters to do. However, if their is one thing that keep me going, it’s Akira Ifukube’s music. It’s just so good and it’s quality is way better than the rest of the movie. Overall, it’s just an boring okay film, which I give 3/5.
Why is it always spam?
Also, I just saw the TV spot, and I don't mind it. Still, if anyone else wants to avoid spoilers, don't watch the TV spot. Thanks for listening, and you're welcome for my advice.
