I agree with you dude I don't understand why Gojira is in the game unless their trying to represent the movie Godzilla VS King Kong in the showa series. And why godzilla 2014 they should have Godzilla 2019.

It's sad that this movie didn't release that well, because it was fun, filled with action, a 180 turn from the last. I felt it would appeal better to the broader audience, which in a sense it did, because it had great fan reviews. The soundtrack was epic. Maybe it was just the timing of the release. The KONG brand name might bring a few more million, but I also believe that it won't be enough to carry the monsterverse forward, but I pray I'm wrong.

Without a doubt my favourite moment of the film was the cinematography. The monster duels on display are full of such rich and vibrant imagery. You could pause any moment of the film and have an outstanding desktop background. The best images/moments are by far the moment of Ghidorah perched upon the volcano and the sequence in DC where you witness Ghidorah hiding within the smoke.
My favourite Titan of the bunch is Mothra. She was executed brilliantly.
My favorite scene from Godzilla: King of the Monsters is “Goodbye, Old Friend”. The scene of Dr. Serizawa entering the underwater temple of an ancient civilisation to sacrifice himself so that Godzilla could save the world is an emotional highlight of the film. Bear’s score, particularly during this scene, is grand, magnificent, and hauntingly beautiful. It’s the end of a pilgrim’s journey when Dr. Serizawa says his farewell. I was in awe of this powerful scene, my eyes a little wet. I’ve been intoxicated by the soundtrack ever since.
My favorite Titan is Mothra the goddess, Queen of the Monsters. She is angelic and gorgeous. She is a protector. During the opening scene in China, even when the soldiers attack her, she never kills those people. Moreover, she saves Godzilla.
That's a tough question. Gotta pick out of, what, 33 movies or so. It's a toss-up between Godzilla 2000 and Godzilla Tokyo SOS. But I'm going to go with Tokyo SOS. His teeth are not so pronounced. I do miss his original ROAR in the last 2 movies but it was a thrill of a lifetime to film on the Godzilla King Of The Monsters, even if all our work was cut.

agreed on the fire godzilla thing, I don't think he'd actually become fire godzilla two movies in a row either, I was just using it as an example of the level of power that godzilla can achieve that would make Kong no match for him and why giving him some form of lightning based power would help make the fight more of an even match since I can't really imagine Godzilla wouldn't give it his all against a rival alpha and when godzilla gives it his all kongs intelligence, speed and agility wouldn't really make all that much of a difference, that little bit of extra damage dealing ability would make a big difference, he'd combine speed, agility, intelligence and raw power

...That would actually be a really cool way for him to get his lightning powers, I'm already visualizing the scene in my head and it would be epic. Mayhap as an added element his fight with Godzilla drags him off Skull island and into the storm system, and when the human characters watching finally catch sight of them on the other side Kong is swinging with red electricity sparking off his fur every time he lands a hit. That way we'd have an awesome visual without him getting too much of an actual power up.
I don't think the G-man should get to go Fire Godzilla though, it would mean they'd have to kill Mothra again for him to get it and that wouldn't be doing any favors to her track record of dying all the time. Plus blue and red is a much more dynamic contrast than red and orange.
Two equally favorite things 1. The Red super spiral ray not only his most powerful attack but it gets immeasurably stronger each time he uses it. 2. He can absorb energy and become stronger from radiation and electricity. Honorable mentions the nuclear pulse, the regeneration, versions of Godzilla that don't have gills.

the way I describe him getting his powers stops it from seeming out of nowhere, there is red lightning surrounding skull island, the fact that it's red makes it seem unnatural so as I watched the movie I expected Kong to harness it and show off his lightning powers in the movie but he never did, what he did do though was reference the original Kong vs Godzilla and King Kong escapes several times throughout the movie which made me think the red lightning was there to set up him travelling from skull island through the storm where he would absorb it like a lightning rod before battling godzilla
and if Godzilla was to become fire godzilla in GVK like he did in KOTM or if he can reach burning state then Kongs speed, agility and intelligence wouldn't be enough to stand up to godzilla especially with his hair making him flammable, that is where his lightning powers would be essential to his survival against godzilla
he might not have lightning powers in the monsterverse but I think they make him more interesting as a kaiju and based on what we've seen so far I wouldn't be surprised if he did have those powers
Sorry I'm just a little fustrated with all that's happening around me it's hard to explain and also I just want to have some time with G-fans it's hard for me especially dealing you know what I won't finish that sentence but I'm sorry it's also that I've been taunted at work everyday due to the next movie cause 5% of my co-workers are Godzilla fans and surprisingly 17% of the other co-workers are dedicated to Kong the rest are Ghidorah, Rodan and Mothra fans. But I think I might've overreacted when you did say I'm gonna qoute the asshole who rote this article. I remember that because I was the creator of the topic what is your favorite thing about Godzilla? But I guess I just overreacted about sorry man and I of course mean G H (Gman) and also I am New to this network I just started Yesterday after I watched the Godzilla King of the monsters movie. It just really needs a clear winner Godzilla. Movie can be terrible or great don't care, just as long as Godzilla is the clear winner.
I am still very split on this game. It's not a good game in the slightest, but when I get bored and I want to fight some kaiju, I will play this game. The graphics don't bother me as much as some people and the roster of kaiju is still pretty good, but the repetitiveness of the main campaign is a bit annoying and some kaiju are SERIOUSLY OP (I am looking at you Biollante).
Honestly, the price of this game has gone down massively compared to when it first came out, but I would really only recommend this game to true Godzilla fans.
Honestly, I would love to see a Rodan or Mothra stand-alone movie especially with KOTM showing how awesome Mothra can be handled in the right hands. I think KOTM had some interesting ideas which could definitely be expanded upon if given the chance.
Off course, Godzilla 3 and Kong 2 would be inevitable. I would be more interested in what direction they would go. Will they bring back older kaiju or make new ones and will we some familiar human faces return.
Also true. Part of which we know for fact includes an American adaptation of Your name.
There's also TOHO investing more in Hollywood in general for adaptations of its properties.
The future is uncertain, that's for sure.

I want just one more movie after GvK, Destroy all monsters. The Ghidorah head can be used to make a mutated biollante type titan and it will hunt down the titans. Godzilla can’t defeat it alone because it has his dna in it to and is resistance to all his attacks. So all the monster are going to have to jump it (including Kong). It will be the last movie because the franchise is obviously not making a lot of money in the US so just end it in a bang over here and show the critics that we don’t give a fuck about what they think.

Kong don’t need no lighting powers. I always thought that was stupid. I would like to see Kong shock Godzilla or throw him into a huge electric grid as a callback to the old movie. Giving Kong lighting powers out of nowhere just feels like the directors don’t believe in him or are too lazy to actually figure out a reasonable way Kong can beat Godzilla.

It is the 5th most attended Godzilla film in Japanese history. It won and was nominated for over 20 awards across 7 film awards ceremonies and festivals, won the Japanese Academy Award for Best Picture, has two 4D attractions at Universal Studios, a VR game, 3-4 mobile games, a statue that's replaced the Heisei Godzilla statue and a partridge in a pear tree. Toho is STILL making money off that movie today. So yes. They've long, long since passed the point where they make their money "back."
Add to the fact that Toho owns most of the theater chains in Japan and the domestic distribution costs become a moot point. They know they can make money off of Godzilla themselves--They clearly still are.
Now I do agree with the fact that Toho is enticed by the idea that they don't have to lift a finger while Legendary/WB's movies make them money. That's probably the only part of this deal they absolutely adore. At the end of the day, however, renewing Legendary's contract with Toho means putting money in to the rights to merely use Godzilla. Toho's not cheap about letting others use the character, and for good reason. Legendary may have to pony up more than before while adhering to new stipulations that allow Toho work on their own films. If these movies don't make money worldwide, Legendary may not consider the investment worth it.
Huh. I don't know if i want to watch it, I feel like it may ruin the theater experience and I won't want to go back to the theater to see it again, since I can watch it for free there.
And I want to go to the theater to support the movie more, lol.

I had no idea they still called it Gravity Beams, that is strange, considering the fact that electricity powers up his abilities (as seen when he bites the electrical grid thing in the final battle at Boston)
I do think it would be awesome to see Kong with lightning powers, but I don't know if I actually see it happening, guess we'll just have to wait and see!

They already finished filming Godzilla vs Kong before the critics reviewed KOTM, unless they do major reshoots, the critics have no say in this upcoming movie.
