Add orga in monsterverse?
I love it. Thinking about drawing a rodan picture like that
Like how the glow looks on the body brings out a real wow in the picture
I'd say my favourite thing is his generalizability.
You can make adjustments to his demeanour, personality, origins, etc., without changing the core of his character. As long as you retain core aspects of him like his general frame, abilities, and presence in the story, he's a very flexible character to work with.
Want a heroic saviour? Works just fine. A villainous destroyer? Works just fine. A neutral force of nature? Works just fine.
I like Godzilla, and how he has personality, plus he has a reptilian appearance, his powerful laser of radiation, tbh I love his roar in every era and movie I listen to all day, and no matter how many humans hated him in the movies he is able to stay strong no other movie kaiju gets my like the only one being godzilla. To not offend people I will admit other kaiju are cool in their creative way but all my interests will always go to gojira, tbh I would pretend to be Godzilla back when I was in 5-10 no word can describe how much I like gojira, he is the best movie character/kaiju ever made in my personal opinion. "He picks up a bus then throws back down as he wades through the buildings toward the center of town" -blue oyster cults. Godzilla for life skreeeeonk.
1st- Gojira 1954 the OG that got me into Godzilla the metaphor of the terrifying events in WWII and his design is something I'd look at for hours
2nd- legendary Godzilla more consistent facial expressions, cool designs, and I loved it when he turned into fire godzilla
3rd- heisei burning godzilla one of the strongest incarnations of gojira he is surely durable, and his design is great and its just something about burning, and flaming appearances
4th- Showa godzilla I loved how he brought in more fluent and quick movement looking like a pro brawler.
It is pretty hard for me to choose other than Godzilla. Since this is about Gojira's enemies I'm might choose two which are
Ghidorah- since he has given Godzilla a hard time in almost every appearance plus his bio-electical gravity beams, and all his roars, and his overall design he looks pretty sick tbh, his defense is great and offense. He is such a great kaiju
Destroyah- has been a huge match for Godzilla that has been created with some of the particles from the oxygen destroyer, oh and he was pretty much O.P in Godzilla unleashed for the Wii which was a character I would often choose when not Godzilla
If not Gojira I would choose these two
Godzilla.
He is the king of the monsters, he is the metaphor toward the bombings of WWII, his design is basic but awesome a roar thats, in my opinion the best thing you can ever hear, so much personality, so much power. And has been a kaiju of terror for 65 years such an amazing icon by Ishro Honda I guarantee I will never ever get tired of Gojira. Godzilla for life Godzilla forever. Skreeeeeonk

I have watched every Godzilla movie but I don't own much of them. My goal is to collect every kaiju movie especially Godzilla but I don't think I'm missing much of them, and I also must get the mothra franchise
Godzilla unleashed for the Wii such a great game
I have grown to accept Mechagodzilla as long as its
One: Its either an Alien construct or ISN'T built by the US Military (Having the US Military built an over-designed waste of resources will break my willingness of suspension of disbelief)
Two: Is completely mechanical
Three: Not built over a dead gozilla's bones
I agree I have grown to love all the godzillas (Zilla included because to me he still is a godzilla just different) I even grew to like Shin Godzilla.
TheGman123: Lol I was just thinking about that. I even already came up with a line in the Godzilla poem. “Individuality is an illusion. All are part of one big machine we call nature. Even Kings are not individuals, rather, they are merely the brain of a large and complex body.”
It's really a matter of scale with these 2. They're similar in how they conduct themselves, but the scale to which they do so differs significantly.
Godzilla is a highly macroscale protector. He is less concerned with micromanaging the entire world and more generally managing threats to it as a whole. In this sense, he doesn't often consider the little guy, the Humans and the basic animals inhabiting the world. This does seem to be changing after Serizawa's sacrifice, though.
Kong, on the other hand, is content to stick to his little corner of the world. He also defends it viciously, but is much more involved with the smaller life inhabiting it, especially the Humans with whom he empathizes with and specifically protects. However, he isn't averse to more specifically targeting individuals, as he can easily recognize who are good and bad Humans.
In essence, Godzilla protects the world at large but isn't as much of a caretaker of any single individuals. Kong, in contrast, only protects his island but has a much more personal involvement with individuals.
King Ghidorah looks nice like the design they went with for all of them though
Why they do Mothra like this lol
Gabara, zilla and vastatosaurus rex in monsterverse?
Hm...lemme see...
I like 54 (cuz he's the original), 2014/2019, Millennium (I have a cool figure of him), 98, and all of them. This list was pointless.
If they used the Oxygen Destroyer, then Destoroyah might show up. I hope.
Or Ghidorah, idk.
Yeah, the Mothra's kinda freaky...strange because she's one of the nicest kaiju.
Titan of Water: to be completely honest this is my first time looking at the Godzilla fandom I'm glad there are other big G-fans.
Gojifan302: That’s fine.
The second post unintentional by the way.
Titan of Water: Noted, I definitely left out the fact that Gojira has no intention to cause any chaos in the Monster Verse. Though he doesn't even know his actual purpose as a titan, but he has the potential to balance life unintentionally. Although Gojira wouldn't inherently keep all living things alive, there will be some unintentional casualties, but he wouldn't necessarily cause extinction by food supply, so yes we definitely need to change our resources "Godzilla exists in all of us" -Godzilla 2000. This isn't a line from the Monster Verse, though I try to find the meaning to. It can mean many things, like humans can change to also balance life, though since gojira doesn't intentionally try to balance life, I know there are doubts but maybe Godzilla exists in all of us, maybe we can balance life if we change our ways like Titan of Water, you mentioned we should change the way we get resources that won't cause any species extinction, in the monster verse Godzilla's source for food isn't necessarily other species. From a movie that wasn't made in the Monster Verse but by Toho.co 19-20 years ago I can't really confirm the actual meaning to this line.
Gojifan302: I don’t think cities or urban places are inherently evil, our problem mostly is the way we handle our resources and the types we use. We need to use more renewable sources of energy and learn to not take more than we can give back. We need to start to get serious on cracking down on the Hunters killing so many animals around the world and selling them to the black market. This has caused a lot of species to go extinct. We also have to change how we get our food supplies. Also, Godzilla doesn’t purposefully try to destroy cities in the Monsterverse.
They may seem like monsters to humans but they are the hero's of nature
Godzilla is natures way to rid humans foolishness and the lowered equality between humans and other life on earth Godzilla is the balance of nature and human kind a chance for nature to restore and parish the human made structures for more room to store habitats for other animal homes. Kong is the protector of an island that is forbidden for most humans so other living things can live in peace. So basically godzilla is making more room for nature while Kong keeps most nature safe in the meantime on skull island hope I helped
I loved Godzilla king of the monsters it might have exceeded my expectations but I know some people didn't really like not getting to know some of the characters but there were more to some of them unlike Godzilla (2014) I loved the great fights especially given the fact Godzilla has more face expressions but as a g-fan of course I don't like the competition this movie had but I can't be mad other people have certain opinions on movies plus It won't really change the fact that I love godzilla
The first ever Godzilla movie I watched was gojira (54) I didn't really get anything when I first watched it as a 2 year old I only knew I loved Godzilla for being huge and powerful, also having the capability of shooting his radioactive laser I remember going as far as pretending to be Godzilla and getting my first Godzilla figure, then now I understand him more and what he was made to be and how much he changed. For instance he was supposed to be the example toward the terrors of WWII, now he is a radioactive animal that'll restore balance in nature I went on as a huge Godzilla fan and watched every single Godzilla movie I love his atomic breath, and his iconic roar I listen to for hours, I was amazed the first time seeing his radioactive pulse I guarantee I will always be a g-fan for my whole life because if it taught me anything as a teen it would probably be "Godzilla exists in all of us" (Godzilla 2000 millenium). Plus when it feels like the world is against you stay strong, Godzilla did. I joined this fandom so I can talk more about my knowledge on my favorite kaiju, and see if someone else knows gojira as much as I do. I love how people make such unique, creative monsters. Godzilla forever skreeeonk.
Also Here's hoping to Jonah will survive in future monsterverse movies. sorry for double-posting
Yeah I highly doubt MONARCH will allow Jonah to corrupt their organization. Now former MONARCH members joining Jonah's group, yes. A full alignment change to MONARCH between KOTM and GvK? No. I don't mean to sound like i'm beating a dead horse here but it took decades for MONARCH to change from DESTROY ALL MONSTERS to GO GO GODZILLA!
I do admit, competition next year isn't exactly great. However, we're at least not running into the same problem as this year where we had multiple massive releases one after another by Disney covering the opening and ending moments of our monster film.
The small competition is low, and the large competition will be low for awhile. We've got nearly 2 months with only 2 large pieces of expected competition and a few other potential wrenches, but nothing as active as this past May/June.
At the very least, I think we're in a good position to do better than KOTM financially and potentially the best out of the Monsterverse to date. Now, whether Wingard is up to the task with the film in general? That one is up in the air.
It was a great movie , I hope they continue after Godzilla vs Kong . Long live Legendary Godzilla . For a Godzilla movie it still did well .
Yeah probably not.
It's ended its Chinese run and it's still in a couple theaters around me--Including the discount theater. It's supposedly still in a few Japanese theaters, but it's making such little money at this point that they've stopped tracking it at the Japanese box office.
I can't imagine the world wide gross will really get much higher than $385.3M at this point.
Is it the end of its foreign run or its run entirely? Because it's playing in one theater around me still.
I meant the “down in history” thing as a joke (though in my opinion it is for now), so sorry if I wasn’t clear on that lol
I mean... every opinion is subjective, so it's a little redundant.
The press certainly deems this film as an under-performer which makes me think WB's marketing team will want to take a different approach and distance GvK from this movie. (Hence why we've not seen or heard much of anything from GvK.)
It'll still have to contend with Universal's The Invisible Man the same weekend. (Which I have a sneaking suspicion will be moved since it just started production last month. But for now, it's there.)
I'm more concerned with A Quiet Place 2, the following weekend, and Mulan two weeks later. The former now has quite the following and the latter--Well... Disney will be Disney.
