I think the name Mega Godzilla is probably never going to be used if so, It reminds me of Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla 2, when MechaGodzilla is given the name Super MG, because of an extension. That name is licensed by Toho, and even though I find it unlikely that the name will be used, or the extension, I don’t think means that it can be ruled out.
"Mega Godzilla" is just the name of the figure. The device he's wearing is called something specific.
i dont think mega godzilla will be a thing since theres also a mega kong, and wasnt there a leak where sayaka said that mega godzilla wasnt in the movie
or is the godzilla that kong is fighting really mecha-godzilla and then the real godzilla appears to help kong destroy him?
I think this will be like Sonic and Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2 where Mechagodzilla will make people think he's Godzilla, thus giving him a bad look to people
For a more modest budget, Super7 just released news that they have the Godzilla license for ReAction and Ultimates figures, for this year and next.

Godzilla better be in this monsterverse anime
It would be a good idea to put this before GvK. It would allow to explore the mythology of the ancient titans and perhaps even look into the underworld.
There may even be paths to Atlantis - a flooded city from KotM. While it is not a part of Skull Island, it would still shed light on the ancient world of the Monsterverse.
Wait, I just thought of something. If they’re still expanding, does that mean Monsterverse is planned to continue after GvK? I know the box offic affects it, but it’s an interesting thought

Honest Opinion, I don’t agree with your looking deeper, because plants, even in mythology, are not always representations of earth. More commonly, dragons and snakes and fish are representations of earth. But I like the idea.
My opinion of Biollante. I would be inclined to agree with your statement about monsterverse, as I does seem like it would fit well into it. The monster does feel a bit like Audrey 2 from Little Shop of Horrors, mainly the appearance, and the fact that they both seem to have a correlation to a female character in the film. Audrey 2 is named after Audrey, and Biollante is also part of the scientists daughter in GvB.
My main opinion is that Biollante is hard to spell
April 4 is Easter. The extra days before a long holiday weekend should help with the opening box-office. Not a bad idea.
