I wish it was Gamera 

If Gamera were to appear, it would be a post credit scene. Gamera would be to big a character to introduce in a movie that primarily focuses on Godzilla and Kong. He should show up in the post credit scene, then have a bigger role in (lets say) the Destroy All Monsters remake that showed up on that film line with all the posters, you know, the one that came out in 2018 with the KotM poster being an official piece of concept art that wasn't released at that time.

But it does look like they are in the hollow earth, look at h.e.a.v description and the background of the photo

As far as I know, legendary does not have the rights to Gamera

Yeah this time, No MCU characters, just focus strictly on the Kaiju. 

Wonder if Battra could be the male dimorphisim of Mothra or a rival species if Mothra Leo/Rainbow Mothra is brought into the monsterverse to serve as the male form instead

It's the H.E.A.V. that came with the skullcrawler from playmates Godzilla vs Kong toys.

Being into mythological beasts and legendary monsters, and the films from Universal, I had books on the subject, one of which had Godzilla versus King Kong. Made me pay more attention when my father watched old Godzilla movies on Sunday afternoons. Then owning Rodan and King Kong on VHS had us playing with plastic dinosaurs and gorillas, reenacting battles from the screen. Was thrilled with Peter Jackson's Kong, and Shin Godzilla. These Legendary films are a brilliant addition to the legacy of these monsters. 

Hello. I've been a kaiju fan for years, starting in grade school with Sunday afternoon Godzilla films, Rodan on VHS, and the late 70's Kong. Loved them all, loved the remakes, but something got me into apes so I'm all for Kong this time around. Glad to see this finally coming to fruition. 

I still remember when I was a kid like around 6 or 7 years old. The first Godzilla movie I've seen was Godzilla vs King Ghidorah (the 91 film). "Yeah I started in the Heisei era" Although I didn't see the whole movie at the time. I was changing channels on my TV and came across the scene where Godzilla was fighting Mecha King Ghidorah. After seeing that fight I instantly became a godzilla fan at an early age. I bought the toys or asked my mom to buy me Godzilla toys lol. Even now as an adult I feel like my fandom for Godzilla has grown over the years. I actually got back into collecting the figures even figures I use to have as a kid. I also collect the movie posters, Statues and merch. I actually want to have my own godzilla themed room one day.

I like that Monsterverse is starting to show the connections to the comics, in the films

I personally don’t think that Mecha G will be disguised as Gojira, its too predictable and doesn’t always make an interesting plot. It worked the first time because it was new. I think that something is making Gojira go violent like messing with his brain with brainwaves (That sounds like solid science fiction) or he knows that humans are creating Mecha G, with according to a theory, ghidorah’s brain in it. Goji could easily think humans are bringing Ghidorah to life and is attacking them. We have no idea who’s making Mecha G as far as I know. I think kong is being used to lure and fight Gojira, because the tv spot says, “Godzilla will come for him.” I think Kong will beat Godzilla, not to gain dominance, but to make him realize what is happening, and they have to beat mechagodzilla. So technically Kong won and there was a winner, but they still work together. 

That’s my theory.

It always fascinated me seeing all these crazy monsters, and seeing new ones with each old movie I found. I instantly fell in love with the designs, Especially Rodan, Gigan, and King Ghidorah. It was the New Monsterverse Movies that really Revived my love for the franchise, and I love the direction that the series is taking. Visually, at least.

Id like to see Kong, the Muto and MG team up against Godzilla and loose to the all mighty fierce Diety Lizard God King who reigns supreme forever and ever! King Ghidorah completely regenerated into a heat resistant star Dragon and the triple Dragon King joins Godzilla in the end credit scene to start a Dragon Force in next film DAM where Destroyah creates shin versions of the Titans and they all have to fight a Destroyah doppelganger of themselves.  Godzilla gets Earth and King Ghidorah claimed outer space as Kong is kept safe at his island after the Destroyah hybrids are eliminated and Godzilla is recieved as the King and savior of the world 

I'm thinking of rebooting my gojiverse or make a whole new Godzilla fan-continuity altogether

or you can do something completely unrelated to Godzilla, but I'm not one to tell you what to do so have at whatever you want bros

Kong's going to have given Godzilla quite a bit of brain damage after this.

The idea of the child with a connection to Kong is similar to a proposed Toho sequel to King Kong vs Godzilla.  It would have been called Continuation: King Kong vs Godzilla and finds Kong in Africa protecting an orphaned child.

My one hope is that the "rap" bit in the trailer isn't from the actual score.  It just feels out of place in a Godzilla or Kong movie.  Maybe I'm just getting old...

Godziller

Interesting idea. I believe there will be a hidden enemy in the end against which Kong and Godzilla will unite. Although he may not be in this film, but will appear in the next.

Very pleased with this trailer. Combined all elements we've been asking for and enjoyed from previous Monsterverse films. I have very high hopes for this one!

Is there a possibility that the Godzilla in the trailer is actually Mechagodzilla? Like the android version at the beginning of the 1974 movie?

I don't recall the "shaping his planet to his liking" line, but I also haven't bothered watching the movie since 2019.

I'll agree he was certainly bringing on an extinction level event by calling on other monsters. However, the storms he created were only present when he was in the area. It can't cover the planet.

Not gonna lie.  My excitement level is up from a month ago.  Let the nay-sayers say what they want, it's looking good to me.

A line said that he was shaping the planet to his liking, and was controlling other titans, and making them destructive. Plus although stroms can be beneficial to the environment, too many can destroy an ecosystem. He changed the climate of an entire planet.

I don't understand why everyone says this. Just looked like a bunch of storms for me. Where is there a fear that he was terraforming the planet?

In any case, they had an alarm system that treated him as a natural disaster in Godzilla vs. Biollante.
