The eagle raptor is basically a scientifically accurate raptor colored like a Bald Eagle
@sonictiger
Godzilla 2014 had some of the best build-ups and use of atmosphere I've seen for a monster film. Everytime one of these colossal beings showed up on screen, it was always in such a way that felt so real and legitimate. The sound design also helped sell it. Its by far the best out of the 4.
Godzilla vs Kong succeeds in having the most fun with its fights while also making them the most fluid they've ever been. The animations were phenomenal this time around. Camera work was creative and it was visually very appealing, especially with its lighting. The plot was ok but seeing how everything came together for the final struggle had me giggling like a child haha.
Kong: Skull Island has fun with itself too, and it is definitely a lot of fun to watch. Its an adventure first and foremost, but the action to me was good just not the best it could've been (excluding the final battle, that was pretty badass).
Godzilla: King of the Monsters is an absolute mess that is the result of being too restrained with its content. You have 4 big name classic monsters in the same film yet the only decent thing about them were their themes and new designs. The fights are obscure and hardly worth watching even with the cutaways (the animation was so stiff and choreography was bland as all hell). They took a villain they developed decently and ruined her with a redemption scene. The final fight where all of them come together is probably the biggest disappointment I've seen as the audience is 80% of the time confined to a camera in awkward positions as main character struggles to find his daughter. How a film with so much content ended up holding back so much is confusing to me.
That's my take.
Ah thanks for this, I contributed to the mess haha. Is there a way for me to delete my topic?
1) Godzilla: King of the Monsters
2) Godzilla Vs Kong
3) Kong: Skull Island
4) Godzilla 2014
So we're getting a lot of repeat topics with everyone's own reviews. We'll be consolidating discussions a bit.
If you want to review Godzilla vs. Kong on the website, you can do so here.
In fact, if you would like to review or read user reviews for any movies in the Godzilla series, including other kaiju films, you can go to this thread for links to each movie and review them here.
Thanks.
Make sure you add a SPOILER ALERT to your subject line for anyone who hasn't seen this yet.
I don't really like ranking. I'll just say Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla '14 were the strongest and Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Godzilla vs. Kong were the weakest.
Things I’ve seen so far:
1) KOTM - I have a fun time every time I watch this..
2) G 14
3) Kong Skull Island
Any reasons?
1) Godzilla 2014
2) Godzilla vs Kong
3) Kong: Skull Island
4) Godzilla: King of the Monsters
Easily.
This is a movie ranking, and I wasn't a fan of aftershock.
my favorite monsterverse story as a whole is the comic godzilla atershock
Yes, but I skipped some parts.
Friday.....
I want to see it in theaters
@Xeno
Can I draw them? Out of curiosity.
Have you watched 14’ yet?
anyway I can’t say anything still need to watch GvK
I think that godzilla 2014's spikes were a little wierd but besides that I think that ghidorah's design was a little bland. and no spoilers, but, mechagodzilla looks a little bit thinner.
the reason why I didn't include all of my renditions of Godzilla's ancestors is because they aren't kaiju yet
That I am aware but the name sounded appropriate to me at the time because one a killer wasp kaiju that has the ability to mimic voices and other sounds like a terminator
That's cool!
Except the name Waspinator is the name of a transformer....
Ok.
When are you seeing it?
It'd be really great if y'all shared.

Although I haven't drawn them yet but there is
Thanatos: a Trilop kaiju
Eagle Raptor: a dromaeosaurid kaiju
Gigamoth: I reused the name from a scrapped toho kaiju but my rendition is the ancestor of Mothra, Mothra Leo, and Battra
Deiakhan: another Trilop kaiju, a good counterpart to my first original Thanatos kaiju
Primal Ghidorah: a fusion of anime Ghidorah with HR Giger aesthetics
Dark Ghidorah: A heavily HR Giger inspired Ghidorah,
Waspinator: a voice mimicking Wasp kaiju
I’ll com back when I’ve seen it
Is it ok if we use this as a spoiler discussion as well?

I made a Gigan with cannon arms for my Gojiverse, check it out
Update: These are going to be morphed into one topic.
This was the OG version:
Friday: Will the MonsterVerse go on after Godzilla Vs. Kong?
Next Monday: Looking back on the 2017 MonsterVerse leak
Next Tuesday: The two possible paths for the MonsterVerse moving forward
The new version will be called the possible futures of the MonsterVerse post-GVK. And that will come this week.
@Jordan502 They didn't hold back this time, and that was the selling point.
I enjoyed every second. Not going into any spoilers but they really delivered on a Monster Movie.
Hello everybody,
Good question! My introduction to Godzilla was in the age of 6, when I watched KING KONG VS. GODZILLA (1962) on TV. Later while later, I also watched the 1981 anime adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's Unico, which made me also an anime fan.
Ever since I am passionate about Japan, it's society, culture, history and of course entertainment industry with Big G as my center.
my origiNAL kaiju is a giant trilopod-like creature with one humongos eye
I have so many fan-made kaiju, but the kaiju I draw the most is Browstriy, it's like a dinosaur with sharp long teeth, body all covered with brown feathers, and does many things. sounds boring but cool In my imagination. I know toho like kaiju drawings I did, they look like original cool monsters. yes i draw good.
I don’t have many OG kaiju but I do have Toho Kaiju designs....
Can anyone here paint?
If so teach me.
