I actually think most of the general public thinks of the 1950-1978 godzilla when they picture godzilla simply because of all the air time godzilla got in the US back at that time. Anyway about the topic. The showa eva godzilla is hard to pin down as he's been a part of some of the best godzilla movies and hands down some of the worst. The middle of the showa era is really a dark blip on the godzilla franchise in my opinion as it seems they were so set of getting the movies out so fast the movies are filled with stock footage(Even going so far as to have a movie like Godzilla's Revenge which is basically 90% stock footage.) The movies at the beginning of this era all the way up to monster Zero are some of the best though so through watching all the showa series you get a feel for the range the godzilla movies go, and if you watch them all it's, for the most part, and uphill ride if you continue watching the heisei and even arguably the millennium series. Had it not been for the last few installments of the showa era I wouldn't have been sad to see it go Godzilla as a character goes through about as much development as possible for a monster star and that's the real charm of the showa series. You get to see him go from a element of destruction to a hero. Overall while the showa series isn't the strongest godzilla era it has a charm that any fan can't help but love. Sure it has cheesy, stupid moments, but at the same time it's made of B movies it should have those, and going into those movies with the same mindset you have when going into see this new godzilla will leave you thoroughly disappointed.

I was somewhat disappointed, after all that wait for a public trailer we get the 1 they showed at comic con over a year ago which im sure most of us already knew about(and the leaked photo of godzilla's head was the only real surprise that would be in that trailer) Happy to finally have a trailer, but feel somewhat shafted that it's a 14 month old 1 that they could have released much sooner

I think they should make a Godzilla game with a story tied with the new movie coming summer of 2014 and have a multiplayer that have the kaiju versus humans in a Battlefield type enviorment.

Lol that's why I downloaded it ASAP. But dailymotion usually doesn't get taken down for copyright. Hell there are still some encounter footage videos that are still up on that site. Full length, non-mirrored, and everything.

they ussally take down the trailers REALLY fast, atleast when there not downloaded onto somones personal computer... and when i say fast i mean like godzilla vs zilla (final wars) fast

people REALLY need to get it throgh there heads, that the movie makers are going to find all the leaked footage of the trailer and remove it! so no one should even TRY to upload the trailer ANYWHERE, beacuse they will find you.... and watch you.....

Let's hope so, as I've said before this trailer wait they've used is not helping them at this point. Coming out in November it already pretty late for a teaser to be shown to the public.
