Holy Sykes! thats gonna be awsome if hes really that huge!
Honestly i dont care what color it is as long as its not the steam of the one in 1954!
Blue is cool ok but to me and in the movies it means that Big G got highly pissed and uses the orange hued beam! its been said that its his most powerFul weapon. his bluebeam seams powerful enough but he couldnt have survived using it against Destroyah ORGA space G or biolante or DES!
I for one believe that this Godzilla... will have a chemical release from with in its body.. which due to the radioactive components will make him electrical and deadly. I think his breath will be similar to what you or I would do when we cough or sneeze. The combination of chemicals that are electrically charged in conjunction with a forced output (cough or sneeze if you will)... mixed with oxygen.. then gets ignited and turns extremely hot. enough so to melt steel... much like the original one did in 54. also I think of salt acid and thermite... both of which are devistating when ignited. this Godzilla could possess that and keeping it realistic... if he does.. it would make sense. Think about his size and what the velocity of a cough or sneeze of a creature that large would be like.. then add the discharge of a radioactive/chemical/electricalto that and BAM.. YOU HAVE YOUR BADASS BREATH. what u tink ???
I remember the post that literally made a thread right after yours saying he wasn't a croc that probably spurred most of that on. Honestly, while i won't name the poster that did that any1 who seriously paid attention to the things he says on a regular basis should have known he was misinterpreting what you said as he does with a large amount of other topics.
im glad to see everyone else is seeing what i saw, KYERO isnt always right
yea, misconceptions begin so easily, especially when people don't understand termanology.
@ZILLAHATER, ive never known you to be a troll, so id say your trustworthy. as long as it doesn't reveal too much about the plot line maybe you could PM me the info like you said, that would be really cool :D
Kong will not be in there, for the sole reason that Toho no longer has the license. But it would be really cool to see every Toho monster in a game. The various Godzilla incarnations could be swappable skins or even DLC. It could go further than Godzilla, maybe MechaGodzilla, Rodan ect.
Blue is a much more "contrasting" colour, especially in the smokey, gloomy environment this film appears to be set in. I think it'd really pop and look really great. Red would be cool if it was included in a similar vein to the "overload" attack of the Heisei films.
I'd just like some classic. A whaling ship attack during a storm would be really cool. But I think it'd be interesting to have him come out of nowhere. Say the other monsters are attacking the city (purely speculation) and the military is locked in combat, suddenly we hear that roar and we see him rise from the bay, just completely out of nowhere, with no indication. I'm almost certain they'll use the tried and true formula of a ship attack though.
Once again people are saying Godzilla will be shown in 1954, and I'm glad for the subtle reference to his birth date, I don't want any flashbacks to 1954, at least, not to the attack that is.Please no more misconceptions.
Again I need help uploading the pic it's really awesome!
I wz gonna post this too :D im so proud of this movie.been following it since it was announced, fareth wasnt even confirmed back then!! I cant believe its 4 months away. I get to see it opening night at may 14 or 15. I live in hae we get movies one day before :)
I see something but it doesn't look like a mouth as such. It's more like a proboscis. The "eye" looks like its part of the proboscis that happens to look like an eye from the viewer's angle.
What is interesting is whether anyone spotted what looks like part of a claw/pincer piercing through the train window to the left of the man in the check shirt 5.30 minutes into the trailer.
(I'll add a screenshot as soon as I work out how to add images.)
I had an idea for spacegodzilla, but related to the Kiryu universe.
After Tokyo S.O.S, the japanese government takes the remaining g-cells, and decides to get rid of them by shooting them into space. The rocket slips through a worm hole, and ends up in the hands of an advanced alien race. They take the cells, and experiment to try and create a bioweapon. As usual you cannot control nature, and so the creature grows into Spacegodzilla, and then escapes and attacks their fleet and planet. Losing the fight, they face one last option, send him through the wormhole. Their plan succeeds, at a great cost. Spacegodzilla now is back in our solar system and is straight to earth.
Getting to earth he would face Goji, and after various battles and maybe some alien intereference and some worm holes, they defeat Spacegodzilla.
I love the look of orange because that is when it seems Godzilla is at a "power surge" of some time, usually. Like a super beam.
Blue is the classic color that's been used for years though, and the spines charging blue is always an amazing sight.
Maybe in the new film, Godzilla will use a blue ray most of the time, but when he gets an extra surge of power (maybe he gets nuked?) his beam becomes orange.
It might always be possible they pull a "bagan 84" you know the first version of bagan, where it's multiple monsters that come together to form a larger one?
Mutation United Tracking Organization
I really love Gigan, especially Final Wars Gigan in his FIRST form. They really did a great job updating the design of the original. As for your idea -INSTINCTIVE GIGAN- I also had a similar thought for a new Gigan origin. Maybe he could show up in later sequels, the ultimate terror that only Godzilla can stop? Maybe even if Mechagodzilla shows up, and they can battle to the death.
Oh my gosh are you guys actually discussing this? Look at their weight difference despite Slattern's superior height, that just shows how much more powerful Godzilla is. Godzilla wins, he and all of Toho's other monsters are on a completely different level from Pacific Rim's kaiju.
@KYERO The weight difference is EVERYTHING. You think just cuz something's taller, it's more powerful! Extremely false, look at King Ghidorah around the same height as Slattern but he weighs around 50,000-70,000 tons and this is the guy that is classified as a planet destroyer.
And also you should know that in addition to surviving magma and asteroid-like impacts, Godzilla has actually been hit with a nuke in the first issue of "Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters" and brushed it off; it's actually what gave him his atomic breath in the IDW comic book canon.
Also your theory on the nuke being weakened in water is nonsensical if you knew anything about how explosions work. An explosion in the air the atmosphere will compress and absorb some of the explosion's energy, but in water the energy is not only not cushioned but flows with the energy making it MORE powerful in water. So it's actually worse being IN the water than out. And if this nuke is legit, Gipsy Danger and Slattern would've been gone, just history. If you don't believe me, I give you the power of a nuke underwater:
@KYERO
"There is zero evidence or proof of any kind to support your idea that Godzilla could survive a direct nuclear blast."
-IDW Godzilla did survive a nuke at point blank range.
-FW Godzilla survived an asteroid impact which was at least as powerful as a large nuke.
"If Godzilla ever did get hit in the face with a nuke, there's no doubt in my mind that he'd be vaporized. Even Godzilla has limits, and being exposed to the kind of sheer kinetic power alone that a nuclear bomb possesses, not counting the other elements and factors involved, would completely annihilate a creature of Godzilla's size and weight, no question."
By that logic, Godzilla should be blown apart by tanks and missles, but he clearly possesses supernatural durabilty far beyond an ordinary animal of his size, which, as I showed above, is proven to be enough to survive a nuke in some incarnations. In fact, by that logic, Slattern should also have been vaporized by the nuke that hit him, since he isn't substantially larger than Godzilla. Also, Godzilla was originally inteded to be like a force of nature that mankind can't hope to stop, so it wouldn't make much sense if a weapon mankind possessed before he even came into existence could vaporize him.
"We all know that Godzilla is smart, but he never came up with ambush tactics..."
Why would you think Slattern came up with the plan to ambush the Jaegers? Obviously, it was the aliens behind the kaiju that organized it. Also, Godzilla is literally sentient in at least the Showa series.
"Slattern might be lighter than Godzilla, but is does that really matter? Not unless Godzilla manages to grab onto him, and if he does then his arms are no longer free to defend him from Slatterns tails or arms, which are much longer and more dextrous than Godzillas."
Why wouldn't Godzilla be able to grab Slattern? Slattern may be fast, assuming the fight takes place underwater, but Godzilla is a fast swimmer too, especially in Final Wars, where he swam to several different locations all across the world over the course of a few days. If Slattern tried to restrain Godzilla's arms with his tentacles, he would just use his incredible strength to get free. And once Godzilla gets a hold of Slattern, the smaller incarnations could throw him quite far or smash him into the ground repeatedly with little hope of Slattern breaking free, Heisei Godzilla would be thrashing him around like a ragdoll, and FW Godzilla would just throw him into outer space =-D
"...when taking Godzilla's atomic breath out of the equation, Slattern easily wins the fight in my logical mind."
Why would we take his atomic breath out of the equation?
Finally, in all of your post, you failed to adress how Slattern could actually hurt Godzilla, which he kinda has to do in order to defeat him. Unless you count the video game as canon, Slattern is a tooth & claw (& tentacle) monster, and the only purely physical attacks (i.e. not an energy beam or some kind of acid/chemical) that I can ever remember penetrating Godzilla's hide were Gigan's claws and buzzsaw and Mechagodzilla's dart... missile... things in the Showa series and piercing cables in the Heisei series, which were all edged weapons made from alien/futuristic ultra-strong alloys. Based on Slattern's fights with Striker Eureka and Gypsy Danger, there's nothing particularly powerful about his tentacles. Trying to strangle Godzilla wouldn't work, since, if he really needs to breathe at all (which I doubt), he must be capable of holding his breath for years at a time. Meanwhile, Godzilla has ridiculous strength in some incarnations and an Atomic Ray which is clearly more powerful than the exhaust from Gypsy Danger's reactor. The only way I could imagine Slattern winning is if he had the Electric Ray from the video game, since I've always assumed electricity is Godzilla's Achilles heel.
I know, longpost is long, but I can't think of a TL;DR version, sorry.
Thank you @Godzilla Himself, you pretty much stated everything I would mention. Weight surely does matter imo. The reason being that Godzilla is 4 times the weight of Slattern at the very least! That weight isn't just fat, it's a combination of that super thick "skin", very dense and strong muscles along with massive bones to hold up the structure, etc. I think Godzilla would more than likely just crush Slattern. Slattern couldn't handle his atomic breath nor his strength and combined weight. If Godzilla can pick up King Ghidorah (who is bigger than him) and throw him or even get him down to the ground like he has before, then Slattern would be like a ragdoll once he got ahold of him. Godzilla would for sure be able to take more of a beating that Slattern would. Slattern might have been heavily damaged but he was finished off by the turbine exhaust which I don't believe would be as strong as Godzilla's atomic breath. I'm sure Slattern would have some advantages and give Big G trouble in some areas but nothing Godzilla wouldn't overcome.
@ESLIMSHADYFAN I just have to add how fantastic it is, you should let us know when you're finished with it and send images, I gaurantee it will make it to the front page as "the most accurate fan made sculpture yet".
@LINKZILLA
I have a feeling youre talking too me here. There was indeed a leak. I wont mention any names, but everything went down on two sites, who ended up in a fight. These two sites are TohoKingdom and Scifi-Japan. There was a big flame war here after the leak, but everyone have calmed down. And i dont know much, heck i know very little.
Perhaps we can start the discussions on the movies before it and when we get to the 98 movie those who want to talk about it can, and those who don't can just wait till the next movie is brought up. There's no real point not talking about it. It is called Godzilla no matter how much many fans hate that so it is technically a Godzilla movie.
How exactly do you apparently know so much about what happens in the film? Normally I would assume you were just another troll, but you seem to be a regular on this site who's been around for a while. Was there some leak that I'm not aware of (not that I want anything spoiled, I'm just curious)?
I would say something like orange & white mixture.
@GOJIRANOUT here is it: http://screenrant.com/tag/godzilla/
@GODZILLA HIMSELF:
The thing is, the MUTO creatures, as weird as it sounds, needs Godzilla. They need him for something. I wont just spoil it right here, so if you want too know wha they need him for, id gladly PM it too you, just ask for it.
And i promise you, they are a threath. Esepcially the female one, she is nasty. She is as fearsome as even some of Big G`s biggest baddies.
interesting, very interesting...
@ZILLAHATER, if what you are saying is that there will only be 2 individual monsters besides godzilla, well that doesn't really make much sence when you look at the two synopsys so far. how can just two of these muto things really threaten humanities very existence, obviously godzilla can, but the synopsis clearly points to the mutos being able to do this as well. also the second synopsis points to the world being overrun with monsters and that certainly doesn't sound like 2 individual monsters, but two kinds, now that sounds plausable.
@GOJIRANUT
Script leak. However, even though its in the script its not 100% sure they will mention the name. Remember, the leaked script was from before Darabont did a polishing of the script.
@AKIO123
You dont have to believe me, I cant expect that. Its a complicated matter, but i know that im right. But you say there is three. Three other than Godzilla, i suppose. Who would these three be?. Im not accusing you or bashing you, im asking. I lose no respect for you just because you dont believe me.
Also, I doubt Slattern could take a lasting ray of Godzilla's Atomic Breath.
I defiantely think there should a Toho mixture game. it would be nice to see more characters.
@ZILLAHATER, There is no confirmation. Ok no body knows. If I had to guess there'd be three. But thats just a guess.
blue.
the orange color makes people looks like it's a fire
To be honest here. It is very DIFFICULT to compare, why? Because there is little known of Slattern. He was only in the movie for 5 minutes. Hell, the game gave more detail to Slattern then the movie. All there is to Slattern is his size. He could not defeat Striker. At all. He was losing, then called for Scunnar to help. Besides his sheer size, he has electricity. Except it's alien-like. But thats only if you're including the games characteristics. When talking Godzilla, we have almost 60 years plus comic books and games to include with what he is capable of. Im not sure if Ive seen him ever get hit by a nuke. Even though Slattern did, you can't really compare who can take more damage. Slattern faced Striker, was losing, then he faced GD and was killed.
How many monsters has Godzilla faced? Including all those versions of Mecha Godzilla? The Pacific Rim monsters are nothing more than large beast(With the acception of those few who had a special ability) Godzilla faced King Gidorah, Space Godzilla, Detroya ect..Do you think Slattern could fight those? I highly doubt it but I could be wrong. Godzilla isnt just a big lizard. Id have to go with Godzilla, not because Im a fan. But because there really isnt anything unique or shocking about Slattern, except him being 600 ft tall, and there is so little known. A "Godzilla vs Gamera" would be much easier to argue.
Blue is personnaly my favourite one. And now that i mentioned that, i also feel like my favourite atomic breath was the one from King Kong VS Godzilla. It had a cool, blue tint and is my own preffered version.
