Uoure totally right. Got ahead of myself.
THAT ROCKS DUDE!!!!! But I think maybe this should have been in the Merchandising Thread, unless you had a reason not to put it in there.
However, great find!
Well, that's bad news then. Especially for me since I don't own any of the movies, it'll make it a lot harder to decide which ones to get in what order. But I really want Godzilla Vs. Biollante anyway, since I am pretty fond of Biollante.
Just curious....... would it be too much trouble for you to tell me in what order you think I should get the movies? If you're busy and all then don't worry about it. I usually just respect your opinions on everything since you're very reasonable with that kind of thing.
(And if you do, you don't have to do it on this forum unless you want to).
@Gman
Well, surprisingly I'm not sure if I ever saw that one.... if I did I was too young to remember it. It sounds like a good movie though, so I definitely want to see it now.
Have you reviewed any Godzilla movies? You sound like a good reviewer and I'd be interested in reading your opinions on the films.
Also, you said you'd put it in the top 3 Godzilla movies, so just curious, but what are the other two?
@Npinkham19
I'll remember that.
Yeah, that info leaked a couple of weeks back and I just got to it. I hate that it's happening to Godzilla vs. Biollante because it wasn't on the market all that long and it's easily one of the best North American releases of a Godzilla film: Japanese language, speacial features, trailers...
@Dinozilla
I would easily put Monster Zero in the top 3 Godzilla films. The thing is it's not a great movie for it's monster action, but because of the characters, acting, the sci-fi pulp novelty, the combination of genres...etc... It's not heavy on monster action, but when there is action it's some of the series best. Meanwhile, Glenn is badass.
I honestly thought the flying MUTO looked like it had been constructed from a little bit of Gigan, Zigra, the Gyaos and some Megaguirus.
Depends if you're going serious tone or lighthearted fun
serious- Biollante
pure fun- Monster Zero
WOAH. Okay, I suppose that one will have to be at the top of my list besides Gojira.
@Gojira2K
Thanks!
@Gman
Ah, so it's a good movie then. I'll be sure to watch it as well.
It would be the most interesting thing to happen on the walking dead since it got off it's mid season break.
I hope they do not commit the same mistake that Bandai Japan did by releasing the new Gamera (Toto) without Zedus
Awesome find.
It seems you are comparing how the cats look like the mice
UPDATE/ALERT: If you haven't bought Godzilla vs. Biollante on DVD or Bluray yet, your time is running out. According to a poster at Toho Kingdom the movie will be going out-of-print in the next few months. By year's end it will be harder to find and the price will likely skyrocket into $100+ from certain sellers.
If you want Godzilla vs. Biollante on DVD/Bluray the time to get it is now.
So because we were given facts we should just disregard them? So I can say Bagan will be in this movie right? Yeah, because "the movie hasn't come out yet" and it's not like there is a viral campaign going on or facts from interviews with the Director out there (sarcasm). keep believeing those are mothra twins, I'm sure your imagination will come through lol!
If you want Biollante here is a link to Amazon's listing of it.
If you want the original here is the link to Amazon's listing. It is more expensive, it is the Criterion version, but it is definitely worth it.
Obvious by my profile picture, but I borderline worship Monster Zero.
PEMF: Post-Evolutionary Mega-Fauna
Classes: Immortal, Deity, God, Kaiju
Categories: Leviathan, Behemoth, Zizz
Body Plan: Guirun, Jiran, Rodin, etc.
First Wave
Humanity awakens unknown PEMFs from their slumber in a gigantic ancient machine complex, causing them to rampage across the globe. Their soul matrices provide them the ability to grow to incredible sizes, have limitless energy, and protection from incredulous amounts of damage, all of which are present in documented PEMFs such as Godzilla. After only a few have managed to be slain, their bodies were analyzed, and a mechanical equivalent possessing a humanoid structure and soul matrix catalyzed by a willing Human's soul/conscience was conceived, known as the Warmonger. Since they had all the same soul-based abilities as the unknown PEMFs, they were able to use equppied conventional weaponry and their own hand-to-hand combat tactics to subdue the creatures, eventually winning out in the end.
Aftermath
Warmongers are used in the follow-up nuclear war sapnning the entire globe, resulting in several decades of never-ending conflict and the mutation of documenteed PEMFs such as Godzilla into titanic entities several kilometres high. Eventually, world governments agreed to halt the Warmonger program and decommission them. Except for Japan, who was allowed to maintain one at a time due to the high losses they suffered during the first wave.
Second Wave
Fast forward several more years, and society has rebuilt itself, but an uprising of anti-soul-matrix supporters has occured around the globe, followed by a second emergence of the unknown PEMFs. Governments soon scramble to contain them, eventually having to resort to reviving the Warmonger program. However, due to the time between the creation of the Warmongers and the current age, the technologies for building them have all but been lost, requiring the revival of any stored models still functioning. Except for Japan. Which has maintained and updated the technology for centuries, thus leaving the country exceptionally well-defended with its modern Warmonger model.
The Big Question
So, the question remaining is this: what exactly is the deal with these unknown PEMFs? Most would conclude them as simple biological super-weapons intent on world destruction. However, that may not be the case. Studies show that the machine complex they were awoken from predates even the very first life on planet Earth known to have existed. As well, these particular PEMFs are composed of human souls, meaning their genetic make-up is entirely human. Additionally, their genetics have shown the capacity to produce life on their own, though this capacity hasn't been observed. Recent studies have shown that the genetic and mental structure of the creatures is at a stage comparable to an early-stage fetus, thus meaning the creatures seen are less than infants at their current state. Therefore, the question remains: what exactly is their purpose?
Godzilla Vs. Monster Zero and Godzilla Raids Again are also free at the time.
IT DIDN'T BEFORE, BUT IT DOES NOW. YAY!!!! XD
I'll watch Gojira, then. Last time I checked you had to pay to rent it almost as much as you had to pay to buy it. Like I said, it's free now, though.
And thanks for the advice! Yeah, it might be worth it, so I look into it come May 6th.
I forgot how far superior your opinions are to mine, you have your opinions as do i. I thought it was a good coorelation and could be INSPIRATION FOR THE MUTOS DESIGN. So all of you comment nazis that wanna go and blast everyone elses comments who know the same exact shit as everyone else considering the movie hasnt come out yet can piss off.
Does Amazon Prime have the original Gojira? Because it's simply put, and obviously, a much better version than the Americanized Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
But if you're not going to get one for awhile, also go with what seems fun. Who are some of your favorite monsters? What kind of things do you look for in movies?
Also May 6th has a plethora of films coming out. The wait is long, but might be worth it. Especially since Sony's Bluray are double features/discs.
So everyone agrees on the first movie. That's probably what I'll aim for then. I've currently got Godzilla: King of the Monsters on Amazon Prime so I'll try to watch it on there even if I can't buy the film right this instant.
Heres the one I think you NEED to see before the new film.
1.Gojira 1954
2.Godzilla vs Mothra 1964
3.Godzilla vs King Ghidorah 1991
4.Godzilla 2000
5.Godzilla againts Mecha Godzilla 2002.

I would have to agree with. Junkerde, the original Blu-Ray and Biollante Blu-Ray. You should be able to get both pretty.
and it's probably the first one you should get imo
True. The original is a strong consideration.
Godzilla 1954 or 1956. Have to have the original!
Never mind. :p
Not the splash of the plane Dude! Behind it you see a frog like figure jump and fall in mid air. It jumps up after the plane crashes. It's far away and way to big to be water! Even a blind person can see that :p
THANK YOU JUNKERDE!
Gojira blu-ray
Godzilla vs Biollante bluray
Sigh.... So many times, the thread topic names here are so blown out of proportion like a messiah came to tell us a message, and when you actually click the content it's lackluster at best.
1. There are no mothra fairies in the trailer, those are fire fighters
2. This is something we already know, specifically Gareth states he drew inspiration from previous monsters, just NOT battra alone.
Feel free to speculate, but don't disregard facts we already have out there. This is what alot of people have been doing here, and I question the mentality sometimes.
also
3. This thread should probably be moved to the general discussions.
