So i was just thinking about it and looking at the design of the winged muto it made me think. Look like some one framiliar? oh yes BATTRA the supposed to be evil twin to Mothra who appears in not only his winged flying state but in a larva state as well. Could this explain the multiple legged red caterpillar larva looking thing from the comicon trailer? Battra also has 8 legs 6 and 2 wings and idk about you guys but with the color scheme and apparant looks. It looks quite like a mutated bat ancestor whatever you wanna call it. All the cooredlations between the two are there, i'm not saying that this monster is BATTRA obviously this is a completly original monster, but with the mothra twins in the trailer, the mothra sticker in the window of the old brody household. They seem to be targetting one easter egg and thats to the big m herself. So for my first post on here what do you guys think?

Sigh.... So many times, the thread topic names here are so blown out of proportion like a messiah came to tell us a message, and when you actually click the content it's lackluster at best.

1. There are no mothra fairies in the trailer, those are fire fighters

2. This is something we already know, specifically Gareth states he drew inspiration from previous monsters, just NOT battra alone.

Feel free to speculate, but don't disregard facts we already have out there. This is what alot of people have been doing here, and I question the mentality sometimes.

also

3. This thread should probably be moved to the general discussions.

I forgot how far superior your opinions are to mine, you have your opinions as do i. I thought it was a good coorelation and could be INSPIRATION FOR THE MUTOS DESIGN. So all of you comment nazis that wanna go  and blast everyone elses comments who know the same exact shit as everyone else considering the movie hasnt come out yet can piss off.

So because we were given facts we should just disregard them? So I can say Bagan will be in this movie right? Yeah, because "the movie hasn't come out yet" and it's not like there is a viral campaign going on or facts from interviews with the Director out there (sarcasm). keep believeing those are mothra twins, I'm sure your imagination will come through lol!

I honestly thought the flying MUTO looked like it had been constructed from a little bit of Gigan, Zigra, the Gyaos and some Megaguirus.

@Sabres29

Junkerde is right. Those really aren't the Mothra twins, they're fire fighters. That's been confirmed by Gareth himself.

Everyone else:

It's not that big of a deal. He's just giving his opinion, no harm done.

yeah i know it's his opinion but why only battra, no offence but battra is no way as icoinic as other hollywood monsters, i see more Xenomorpth influence than battra. i doubt that gareth edwards has even seen GvsM 92

Hey, easy, ladies and gentlemen. Nothing to get in a tiff over. It's just a bit of conjecture, nothing more. That being said, I've a strong feeling we'll see traits from many monsters in the MUTO organisms. Inspiration can take on many forms. :)

sigh.... pepole nowadays.  the movie isnt out yet so some speculating doesnt hurt once in a while.  besides being wrong isnt a bad thing in this case.
