dude i wish that waas in the movie or if they make a movie like haunted house that would be funny

in texas idk but in austin dang the toys are already sold out no Atomic roar, no chibis, packs of destruction the only thing left is the Tail strike and arm stirke or what ever you call it so in texas not popular but in austin tx it is idk know about dallas,houston, san antonio or el paso where i was born.

I mean, yes, the trailers have pretty much given this particular plot point away. 

However, out of courtesy for those who haven't seen the trailers or are new to this site/Godzilla film, please DO NOT include those kinds of details in the TITLE of the post. Also please include a spoiler tag.

yeah i think alien vs predator is pretty cool i never watch the full movie but i saw the fighting scenes and they were AMAZING so yeah fan of AVP and Big-G

i think im the only godzilla fan in my country when i told my friends about him and his new movie coming out they just watched pacific rim and they said a gipsy danger and kill godzilla in 5 seconds....:(

Just because people watch youtube videos doesnt mean they will pay 10+$ to see it in a theater.

Thanks for the support Devianteist, but when I see that more fans would like to see my fan-fiction, then I'll have the confidence to post it.

Springfield, NJ, Godzilla is not popular at my school (and neither is Alien vs Predator). I am the only diehard fan here as far as I can tell. Although one of my friends likes Godzilla and another one respects him. Both of those friends are excited for the new movie. I think I'm the only Godzilla and AVP fan here is because the others at my school who say Godzilla and AVP is stupid are too much of a jackass to give it a try. I hate bullies.

well to be fair, Godzilla's overall view counts are WAY behind X-Men and Spiderman. 

The most watched trailer for the new X-Men holds over 26 million views, while Spiderman has 29 million for its most popular trailer. Godzilla's only has 21 million. 

Similar stories are told when you look at the number of facebook 'likes', number of twitter followers, so on and so forth for each movie.

I think Mikey is correct when he says that Godzilla is squarely behind Spiderman and X-Men in terms of anticipation.

As of right now, all the July releases are listed above.

I know that another company is in talks to acquire the rights to Son of Godzilla and Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla... But I have no clue what company that is, what their plans are or when they'll be released.

The last three Godzilla movies Sony has to release on Bluray are Godzilla 2000, GMK and Godzilla against MechaGodzilla. If the sales for the Sony Blurays listed above sell well, it's likely Sony will release these three when Legendary's Godzilla hits DVD/Bluray.

I'm just guessing, but it's very likely GMK and Godzilla against MechaGodzilla would be a Bluray double feature and Godzilla 2000 would be a two disc set itself since the Japanese and American cuts are so different. Sony has already said the (re)release of those three movies depends on the sales for their upcoming Bluray.

As of right now there is no North American release for the Japanese version of Godzilla 2000.

I think you're really under playing the anticipation for this movie. The trailer alone has over 20 million views on youtube, and it certainly isn't all from hardcore Godzilla fans. A lot of non-G fans I know keep talking to me about the new film and how excited they are. Godzilla IS one of the most anticipated films of not just May but of 2014, to both fans and non fans.

Cool on the release date, Thank you for the info Sir. Will they be releasing anything else in july that you've heard of? Been looking high and low for a Japanese language version of G2000, find listings on them and get them but always turns out the same dubbed english/french dvd I already have.

Everyone I know has heard of him, most even know something about him (seen a movie when they were younger, or at least know about the 98' version). I have yet to meet anyone who just doesn't know who he is. In my office building, I know of at least 3 others who are excited to see the movie (and actively talk about it), and 4 more who are at least interested in the movie from trailers and such.

I got another idea if you want to keep it in the silly side. Did you already watched "The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra" or its sequel? If not I highly recommend them; and if you got a skeleton figure like the Kaiyodo Revoltech made from Jason and the Argonauts you can feature the baddest boney guy and his terrible powers to compete against Space G.

oh that could actually be really cool DAIKAIJU DANIELLE. That type of format would probably be the best suited for a character driven story element, empowered by occasional cinematics :-)

I'm writing one right now, it will take most of 2014 to complete, or longer, 30-day wait so I can gather facts from the film.

Years ago I wrote a lot of material, creating a long series of novels from my own, putting on them both Toho kaijus and my own creations. At first wanted to share them, but ever since I got a weird experience from a Zelda IGN forum, I prefer to do the proper copyright stuff first before letting know anything. Ireland?.....IRELAND?.....It would be a miracle if some of the people in my village knew what a cinema was!, so ya my point is, IT'S NOT AT ALL POPULAR but I think I've brainwashed my friend and girlfriend who now tolerate it! 

I'd like to make a Godzila game similar to the Walking Dead, where you play as one of the human characters and try to survive through the kaiju khaos.

Mine would be Godzilla replacing David Letterman as the Late Show host next year.

edit: although my friends who are non-fans absolutely love the halo-jump scene in the first trailer. that's what made them go "cool". THey are hyped for it, but again other than that not popular

Yeah I'm the only Godzilla fan that I'm aware of where I live. That's part of what makes this forum so awesome. Finally a place where I can actually talk about Godzilla and people know what I'm saying :-)

Most around here think he's cheesy and stupid. 

A few are open to the idea of seeing this new movie though. I've told dozens of people about it coming out, showed many the trailer, and they seem willing to give it a shot at least. 

Not very popular in my area either. I don't really talk to a lot of people and they didn't know that there was a new movie coming out till I showed them the trailers. They seem pretty hyped for the movie though
