Doing something like Deathla would be unbelievably stupid. The name itself is even retarded. Glad that project was canned and will never see the light of day.

How about...Me? I was thinking me. If not, how about me?

But seriously, i`d rather it ends up in an obscure limbo than anyone else but TOHO. Lending the rights for american movie? Okay. Selling it? Oh boy...But if i had to choose i would go with...Gareth. Can a single man own the rights? I dont know, but if so, Gareth. Or me.

Man, now I'm suddenly thinking about the ancient past where several other Kaiju species lived alongside the Mutos and the Godzilla species, like the Angillasaurs, the Pteran-Rodan, etc. But weirdest of all......I'm suddenly thinking of two bull Godzillas fighitng over territory.

Yeah, I'm gonna feel the same way for this Godzilla as I have before. He's a force of nature, coming back to set balance where it has been lost through sheer destructive force. We will respect him out of both genuine respect for him restoring the balance, but also out of fear for not wishing to incur his wrath upon us as well. He is a force that will set things right, not caring how many will die in the process. All that matters is restoring the balance, whatever it takes.

Durp004Godzilla ForumGODZILLA: Which King is really King?

I already stated why the rules that you put ruin the debate, however I'll go in depth and hopefully Devianteist will see this and see all the reasons why those rules do nothing but hurt this and make in unfair and hopefully remove them.

1. Almost every one of the 29 films run off their own logic and physics. To make a rule that governs over every single 1 of those evenly is extemely hard, much less 4 different rules.

2. With this kind of topic varying points will arise, different opinions, preferences, and biases will no doubt appear in the debate. For Kage432 to be, for the most part, the only 1 who had a say in the rules is unfair. It's 1 thing for some1 to come up with rules but a completely different thing when that person already has a clear choice in what they see as the right answer. This becomes obvious as you look at the rules that no doubt Kage432 analyzed each rule to how it would effect his choice(final wars) in hurting, helping and overall balancing out as he believed, but it is clear he didn't totally look at every other incarnation. This is most obvious in the rule targetted almost specifically at burning Godzilla, when the CIS/PIS made it so burning Godzilla isn't even a variable in the debate, due to Shindo randomly pulling a nuclear sub out of his back pocket in Godzilla vs King Ghidorah, and making him bigger and stronger. Thus every heisei godzilla after that, since it's a linear story is taken out of the equation. For rules to be applied this should have been brought up to every poster on this thus giving them a chance to see it it was evenly spaced out without hurting or helping any particular Godzilla.

3. This is the most important reason in my opinion and that is simply for a thread that asks what godzilla is the strongest to then have rules that take quite a few out of the running, or nerf them down to the point they can't compete is very unfair. Sure some do things that are crazy and you can always throw that out and say that's why they're the strongest, but that's what makes these fun, there will never be a sureshot, not debateable "strongest godzilla" unless the series ends and a panel of godzilla enthusiasts take an objective look at every single movie and come up with an answer and people will still disagree. To have rules on this type of topic which is almost 100% opinion based and it all depends on how much you value each trait takes the fun out. I already pointed out why my choice isn't available because of them so the topic in general changes. It's not "who's the strongest?" it's "who's the strongest within the rules we(Kage432) set?"

Godzilla in this movie from what Ive seen will closely be like G2000 in which he's viewed as an ultimate threat who combats the other creatures out of pure territoriality and afterwards people realize that had Godzilla not stepped in the world would be doomed.

Ohh!, very good thinking actually and you have put A lot of thought into it! I could like the idea of when attempting to end godzilla they accidentally created zilla who then rampaged across manhattan! It's a brilliant idea, who am I kidding! Great work

I've actually thought about this one and I think that exploring the world from which godzilla came would be a really exciting idea for a sequel or maybe down the line, a prequel! Good thinking KAGE432

Here you go.

This has never been on the news yet. But somebody who attended the festival tweeted Akira Takarada talked about that.

And there are many difficult Japanese words and phrases. Sorry about that.

JohnSmithGodzilla 2014 ForumWill Godzilla in IMAX 3D use 15/70 film or digital?

The movie was shot digitally in 2K, And it will be ''converted'', Or rather upscaled to IMAX digital which obviously isn't anywhere near the quality of real 70mm IMAX projection. IMAX digital is mostly a gimmick but it's still better than a regular digital projection. The huge sound is what draws me to IMAX theatres. In a nutshell, It is indeed LIEMAX.

KAGE432 - With any luck, you might get what you want in one form or another - in this film or a sequal some time down the line! Deathla's concept was very fascinating. Though I don't much care for Hedorah, I thought that Deathla would be an interesting premise as a creature. :)

KAGE432 - That's a fine question! I happen to believe that there might be a little "recycling" being done in Edwards' upcoming film. Not in the sense that he's taking something from films that have already been featured, but insomuch that he's utilizing ideas that never came to fruition. if that's the case, we might see a Deathla analogue in the film! That'd be something! :)

KAGE432 - So am I! I'd really like to see a referrence to Garuda - especially since it is from the same mythological line as Vishnu and other beings that have been linked to the upcoming Godzilla film! Hmmm, I wonder if the winged MUTO might have a name... :)

KAGE432 - Ooooh! Now that's an interesting prospect you've raised. I'd definately say that there were other beings of tremendous size and power that arose during the same time in which Godzilla and the MUTO had their heyday. Look at Garuda from ancient Hindu mythology - or Tiamat from the Mesopotamians! Those could easily have been great monsters man revered as gods and goddesses - not knowing that they were, in fact, ancient beings awakened from slumber! :)

@SOMETHING_REAL I liked it but for the most part, I feel it's too boring. The characters we follow barely see the monster at all and the destruction/chaos doesn't really effect them enough (except for that one guy who died on the bridge) to excite me; they're more like "oh that looks cool" moments. Saving Clover's full appearance for the end was a lil' anti-climactic and the ending seemed pointlessly tragic. Overall, I wished they more cleverly used suspense and more action.

I like it for the most part though, I just wished it was more exciting with it's storytelling. Also found footage doesn't really work for it, at all.

Just watch the movie like you watched the original Gojira film. The same way you felt when you saw the original should be the same with this one. Just my opinion. Gareth's Godzilla is quite literally a remade classic monster movie taken to a new level of terror and destruction. You're supposed to fear Godzilla, and you're supposed to get attatched to the various characters that will likely die in this movie. Its going to be tragic, and you can blame Godzilla and the Muto for all the horrible things you will experience throught the movie :]
