While I agree about your point, I would obviously have a GVK-like situation for the monsters.  The issue in GVK is that there were two tightly squeezed human plots and I think if they allowed just one character with potential to shine I would pick Madison as the sole human plot.  While there would be more screentime devoted to monsters, we could actually get something worthwhile from a character that has been wasted in all the movies she's been in.

G.H. (Gman),

Thank you for your input.  Without going into too many specifics, my partner and I are going to keep it a nice relaxing conversation about various monsters over a cup (or two) of coffee.  No shouting or trying to make a comedy routine, just pleasant and insightful conversations about one of our favorite genres.  The basis of the show isn't going to be on recording every reaction from a new fan, but it's more or less having the insight of someone new and younger with someone a little older and dare I say, wiser.

I had a good friend and podcaster say to me last night that the numbers aren't what's important as the focus needs to be on the content and it's creation.  If we're good at it and we keep up with it, a following will happen in it's own time.

By the way, the ratings of the films aren't necessarily to say what is good or bad, but to spark a conversation about our differing or similar ratings.  My partner and I will inevitably disagree on a film and that is a conversation I look forward to more than if we are on the same page about all of them.  In some ways, if you tell me Godzilla is in it, it's automatically going to be awesome regardless.  This is just to get into the real nitty gritty of what we as two differing fans look for when we watch the films.  Totally get what you were saying, but I wanted to clarify.

Thank you for your input!

@sonictiger: While I think it would be cool to see the Brodys return in a future film, I doubt they or any of the other human characters would play a huge role in a film like this. Since I’m suggesting that this be the finale of the MonsterVerse, I believe the filmmakers would want to have the monsters take the spotlight much like in GVK. I wouldn’t be terribly disappointed if that happened since I feel that if there was ever going to be another film where the human story would be sacrificed to give the monsters more time to shine, a Destroy All Monsters-esc film would be the right one. I initially believed that GVK was the last MonsterVerse film for this very reason (and it can really be the case for all we know. No future films are confirmed as of now).

Plus, I doubt that most moviegoers would be interested in seeing the Brody family return since weren’t the most beloved characters from G14. But who knows. If Sam Brody is brought back and is a well written character, maybe general audiences will connect with him.

Xenotaris

The funny thing is that in the actual scene the other crew members are in danger (which is why Pete and Captain Majors look so worried), meanwhile Godzooky's smiling like nothing's wrong. Apparently he finds joy in his friends facing imminent doom...

I think Madison should be the main human character along with maybe Sam Brody as well.

MusicEd921,
I listen to a great deal of, and am good friends with a lot of kaiju podcasters. Many follow a similar pattern of the long time fan with novice dynamic, so I wouldn't recommend playing that up. Lots of people do scores, but I made a conscious decision not to score movies we cover on my podcast with my friends. I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, but because scores are so arbitrary I'd tread lightly with it as to not undermine anything you said prior. What you say in the podcast proper is going to be infinitely more interesting than the score section.

The most interesting thing you positioned about your podcast is it has the feel of, "a Sunday morning chat with coffee". I'd like to hear more about that and how you intend to pursue it, because that really grabbed my attention. Tone and feel of a podcast really makes it and I think you may be on to something there.

The main advice I'd give is, don't look at numbers for a good long while--And don't worry about them. Just keep creating content. The more content you make, the more people will eventually go back and listen. Just enjoy having fun with the conversations and release a ton of stuff.

Some additional information I didn’t get to include…

- I chose to name this film Godzilla and Kong: War of the Monsters since it is not only kept in theme with Godzilla: King of the Monsters, but also sounds very marketable to general audiences since it includes both Godzilla and Kong in the title.

- Apparently, there’s a segment towards the end of Godzilla vs. Kong: One Will Fall: The Art of the Ultimate Battle Royale that talks about the creative team at Legendary being interested in exploring outer space in the future since it’s teeming with potential. This could mean they’re thinking of including space monsters like Keizer Ghidorah and Gigan in future films. If Gigan ever shows up in the MonsterVerse, I think it’d be awesome to see him team up with Keizer Ghidorah, much like how he did with the classic Ghidorah in Godzilla vs Gigan.

- Another thing I want to say about Keizer Ghidorah is that he could be a literal hydra, possessing five heads and four tails. He could also be red, making him look devilish and Destroyah-esc).

I feel like this would actually give Madison Russell the chance to be put in the main role as maybe she's the single non-ignorant human, and have her be forced to confront the massive mistake herself since no one else would.  Also it would bring her story full circle since her whole story throughout the MonsterVerse has revolved around Godzilla and Ghidorah.

I do like the idea of humanity's arrogance resurrecting Ghidorah and him being the ultimate punishment for mankind, but I feel if they keep bringing him back over and over again it would start feeling repetitive and I can see critics and general audiences not responding well to it. I like how the MonsterVerse Ghidorah is established as an ancient threat and that there's potentially a much larger story that he's a part of, with us only seeing a fraction of it in KOTM. It gives Legendary the opportunity to potentially use him in the future (if Toho will allow them) without making it feel too repetitive, while also using him to expand on the MonsterVerse's timeline.

I actually like the idea of humans resurrecting him in different forms like mechagodzilla, it’s isn’t realistic but it makes him sort of mystic, but I dunno, I don’t see it happening

I think bringing back Ghidorah as Mecha-King Ghidorah wouldn't really work well in the series. We've seen Ghidorah fight Godzilla in modern day and we've seen his consciousness posses Mechagodzilla, reviving him again in modern day would feel redundant, too predictable, and repetitive. However, since Legendary established that Ghidorah's rivalry with Godzilla goes back thousands of years, bringing him back in a prequel could work. Establishing how he came to Earth and how his rivalry with Godzilla started, it could add on to the timeline and mythology of the series, maybe they could tie it into the ancient Titan War.

It seems I've caused chaos with my idea about MechaGhidorah.

Well....this image is the best metaphor for this situation:

MechaGhidorah

I disagree. Honestly mechaGhidorah isn’t that cool for me. Seriously it’s even weaker than Ghidorah himself. I think it’s dumb. But that’s me
