da-da-daaa!-da-da-daaaaaaa!!! daaa-da-daa-da-dwa-daaaaaaaaa!!!
derp.

That actually makes sense. I'm surprised that I never made that connection before. I mean that I kinda knew that the Titans had some sort of connection to the mythologies of different cultures from around the world, but like, damn, dude. Good job. and to you to, goji. That's pretty cool.
You need to make video clips for some kind of commercial or thriller!!! You've got a lot of imagination. That's cool.
i'd like a griffin-esque please and thank you
i like griffins a lot
I don’t think that actual epics like the likes of The Odyssey, Gilgamesh, or Buddhicarita are recorded actual events. But fictional tales made around the creatures.
Take the Odyssey. It was written by Homer as entertainment. Not that these tales were actually inspired by real events. In monsterverse it would be completely plausible for the Titans to be Included into works to increase drama, but not that it implies those events actually happened.
The ancient mural in Godzilla Aftershock seems to be actually an account of history which was written down, in which there is little myth around, (the names were just how they deified Titans) whereas epic stories seem to incorporate ideas about Titans into stories made to inform, entertain, or warn.
To be honest Legendary Godzilla has never seemed Godlike to me, just an animal revered as a god by ancient humans.
Sadly, this may be the closest we actually get to a crossover movie... :(
same with g-man, about 1-2 films
Rest in peace Koichi Sugiyama.
I know!
coming soon.....
from legandary pictures.......
YELLOWBACK AND RATTLER
the movie
(seriosly i really want to see the giant snakes in film form. DO IT TOHO)
I'm hoping they give Mothra another shot in the monsterverse weather that be a solo film or partnered up with either Godzilla or Kong.
Here's my other idea:
Kong 2 & 3 - They'll center on Kong's Hollow Earth adventures, before he's called into the big ensemble finale. Nathan Lind (Alexander Skarsgard), Ilene Andrews (Rebecca Hall), and Jia (Kaylee Hottle) will all constantly show up, and Kong will leave the humans in either the end of 2 or the beginning of 3.
Godzilla 3 - I think it will be solely Godzilla (Mothra and Rodan would get tie-in comics). Also, I would pick G3 as the end of both the Russell family and Brody family stories. My bet is that Madison Russell (Millie Bobby Brown) and an older Sam Brody (I would pick Noah Schnapp to play him) will team up and be the central human focus of Godzilla 3. I think Biollante will be the main antagonist and there will be three major fights like in KOTM and GVK.
Destroy All Monsters Ensemble Team-Up - I think we're going to get a lot less humans as Godzilla, Kong, Rodan, Mothra, and all of the other titans will likely go up against Destroyah. The core four will survive and all the other monsters will be killed.
My educated guess:
- Kong 2
- Godzilla 3
- Possibly a Mothra or Rodan movie
- Destroy All Monsters Style Team-Up movie
hinukagoji,
whats out?
nnggh i forgot how to tag people but @TexanGodzilla
yes yes he is
ooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO00000000000000OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO000OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(im not really into goji stuff anymore but i think ill still watch the new stuff when it comes out and comment on this site.)
@Royal Orora: I feel that out of all the other side monsters in the MonsterVerse, Mothra is the most likely to get a solo film since she’s very mystical in nature. She can help develop the supernatural side of the MonsterVerse.
However, I think giving her a solo film would be too risky since she isn’t a household name like Godzilla and Kong.
KOTM underperforming at the box office might have also deterred Legendary from giving her a solo film.
A better option would be to give her her own graphic novels that set up her role in the next Godzilla film.
My guess on if we get more Monsterverse films:
At least 3 more Godzilla films
At least 2 more Kong films
One film about another monster (Mothra, Rodan, etc.)
Though I wish it could go on forever, I know that's not possible.
I just hope to see as many Toho and original kaiju as possible.
In my opinion, if we get enough films to be able to see Battra, Biollante, Destoroyah, Gigan, Megaguirus, Orga and SpaceGodzilla in a film, as well as a Final Wars type film and to see Mothra again (as well as see her get a solo film), I'd feel 100% satisfied with the Monsterverse. I know that might not happen, and that it might be stupid of me to want that, but it would be a dream come true!
Ghidorah being an alien definitely brings up some new questions, like "Where did he come from?" and "Are there other alien titans out there?". Gigan would be a cool way of exploring those ideas.
If we got another 4 films, one about the ancient Titan War (maybe it could also show how Ghidorah came to Earth), one featuring Kong living in Hollow Earth, maybe another Godzilla movie, and a big finale "Destroy All Monsters" type movie, along with the Skull Island series and tie-in comics, I would be satisfied.
If we get anymore, and as more time passes without an announcement it seems less likely, I'm going to guess 1-2.
what about beeg xenomorph
(this is a joke)
@Reaper’s Winglass: While I agree that the concept of an alien invasion is cliche, I feel that it would be a great opportunity to introduce Gigan and expand upon Ghidorah’s origin. Since KOTM already made Ghidorah an alien, Legendary might as well take advantage of it.
In all honesty I don't think Legendary should buy any licenses to old monsters, and I don't think the Titans should fight Destoroyah or an Alien race that (purely speculated on) sent Ghidorah to Earth. I think the Monsterverse should end off with an original Titan, something that could go down in the Kaiju genre as the Monsterverse's final boss, instead of just Destoroyah again. Legendary could go wild with concepts for the new Titan and give it all sorts of abilities. As for the Alien stuff, it feels to cliche and out of place for something like the Monsterverse.
I would like to see Biollante given a heroic upgrade

But I also really want one more fight between THOSE GUYS.
Here's my idea:
That's my guess...
aw man, i want rhino beetle man :(
guys we need to get legendary to buy megalon
Am I the only one who thinks that Megalon would be a perfect addition to the MonsterVerse? His origin story was that he was worshiped as a god by an underground civilization. The MonsterVerse established both the Hollow Earth and ancient civilizations worshiping the Titans, so It would be pretty easy to fit him into the world. Unfortunately Megalon isn't the most well known or popular monster, so the likelihood of Legendary getting the rights to use him is slim...
Thought this was relevant,
This is from an article and is from Akita Takahashi.
Response of GvK has been positive from Toho and has met requirements that toho stated that they would be interesting in renewing their contract
“There might be something coming out from Japan, there might be something from the United States, there might be a collaboration, we’re unsure. We’re excited to know as well.”
I don’t think this hints at something significant but is interesting.
I agree with this list on most fronts other than using older Godzilla monsters. Having Biollatne in monsterverse would be cool but it would be risky, because it’s not super well known outside the Godzilla fandom. There’s no point buying a monster if you’re not confident it’s gonna be a good selling point. I think legendary will opt for a original monster.
oh wow this is actually really cool and pretty well thought out
we gotta contact legendary
"Make a wish Godzilla!"
