i hate this part of final wars;(

He got what he deserved!  Stealing Godzillas name. I'm going to get a lot of crap for this but, I don't care. The filmmakers screwed up big time with this project, die hard fans hate that movie with a passion. If they would have called it something else I may have liked it, the fact is they took Godzillas name in vein. 

^Roland Emmerich intentionally made the film suck.

I think it was justified and well deserved for the time. Zilla totally got what was coming to him.

However, I do think a fair rematch is in order; one that is not so one-sided. I think it would be interesting to see Godzilla's brute strength and force go up against Zilla's agility and speed.

I mean FW Godzilla pretty much does this to every monster he runs into. I was more bothered by the fact that Rodan lasted five seconds in his fight despite it being a 3v1.

I mean... Out of all the parts in Final Wars this is one of the more iconic. Certainly a favorite of mine.

Well... at least Rodan was one of the only monsters to actually land a half-decent hit on Godzilla. Not a bad stat considering how overpowered Godzilla is in this movie.

It would have even better scene if it was Gabara.

KAIJUSAURUS333 - Well, your statement "It would have been an even better scene if it had been Gabara" did not place Gabara in a definitive role within the sequence of events presented in the scene. If you had stated "It would have been an even better scene if it had been Gabara that got blasted", we would have immediately understood what you were trying to get across. Even so, it was still my mistake to immediately assume that you were being mean-spirited toward Zilla. For that, you still have my apologies. :)

I don't really view FW wars as that powerful moreso every other monster was dumbed down and weaker than pretty much every other version ever. I mean Anguirus rolled into a ball so Godzilla and king Ceasar could have a soccer match and somehow rodan was the only one who got hurt in that besides anguirus who hit a rock and fell on top of him

One of the high points of FW.

I'll prefer minilla and gabara over that damn iguana any time of the year. True Godzilla fans despise zilla. David Kalaat explains that sufficiently and effectively in his book.

Sorry, BBB, but that has to be the stupidest thing I have ever heard. In order to be a true Godzilla fan, you have to hate Zilla? I personally have warmed up a bit towards Zilla, but I still don't like him that much. I have been a Godzilla fan my entire life, I have spent thousands of dollars for my collection, but I guess that doesn't make me a true fan. Do you know how many Godzilla fans there are that enjoy Zilla?

Yeah, I don't like the "true fan" declaration one way or another either. That's for no one to judge. I think a more appropriate or accurate way of stating that would have been, "General fan consensus has no love GINO." Or Zilla... Or whatever silly name kids call him these days. Even then a new generation of fans seem to like GINO because they were young enough for it to make an impression on them or even get them into Godzilla.

Personally, while I found a great deal of humor in Godzilla absolutely and finally obliterating GINO, I wish he was never brought back. I would've preferred he was left buried and forgotten so we wouldn't have to see, hear or talk about him anymore. Final Wars may have ridiculed him on-screen, but it also inadvertantly added him to the Toho rogues gallery. It's now up for grabs in future films, comics, etc. I'd rather the black stain in Godzilla history not be retained for such an honor.

There are lots. True. However, what I stated is basic fact. If you can't except it, that's your problem. It's not the stupidest thing ever either. Many people who I have talked to who are older than me will tell you the same thing I have.

You don't have to take my word for it, just pick up a copy of this book and read it for yourself. "A critical history and photography of Tohos Godzilla by David Kalaat." 

I don't think you can use the word fact when refering to something like "true fan". There's no set criteria to my knowledge, just because a book says something is wrong or points out faults doesn't make it an outline for what a fan has to like and not like. I think bringing age into the debate is kind of moot since just because someone is older doesn't necessarily mean they are smarter, and their age definitely doesn't mean they make the outline for the fandom.

I actively discuss all the movies on here, own them and watch them quite frequently, but since I don't despise or even dislike Zilla I'm not a fan, yeah...... let's not.

That demonic beast from hell deserved every atomic microbe to insinerate every microscopic enzyme in his body, straight down to his soul.

And then have Godzilla 2001 come in and eat his soul, and then blow up with it in him so Zilla experiences the most pain ever. And then have whats left of him die to Godzilla 2014s hands.

As you can tell....This is my favorite part of Final Wars.

I wrote an entire article on the pure hatred of Zilla, i saw it in theatres. Sadly i wish i hadn't, cause if i hadn't. Well as Gman said, i might have had some level of respect. But i saw everything, the hype of the film. I was so ready for an american Godzilla, but there wasn't.

Gorilla, just standing next to GMK would obliterate Zilla.

My favorite part of the movie, f**k Godzilla '98, terrible movie, just had a discussion with a friend of mine about why it sucks. Highlights: why was he so surprised when the pregnancy test came back positive? he obviously thought it would; pregnancy tests don't work on non-mammals, doubt they even have a simple test like that for use on non-humans; shouldn't have lost GINO on the missile lock because of being cold-blooded, it doesn't work like that, same with radar; GINO had to have been catching & delivering tons of fish to the eggs yet they couldn't track him down even though they showed earlier its footsteps cause the ground to shake; the part at the beginning with the Japanese guy saying 'Gojira' had no one in the room to record it so how did they get a recording and show it on the news?

Perhaps I misworded things. Everyone likes what they do, it makes them who they are. Nothing wrong with that. Me, personally will always dislike zilla. However, age is a vital part to most as they have probably studied Godzilla more than we have. I don't know where you get the idea that age doesn't mean squat. 

I respect everyone for what they like, we aren't destined to like the same things. We all share a goal in this fandom, and that's wanting the best for us and Godzilla.

It's fine Ben, I'm sorry that I acted like a jerk. The 98 movie was one of the worst films of all time, and I think we can all agree on that.
