MemberMothra LarvaeMar-08-2015 11:39 AMWe all seen the Skelton in Godzilla 2014. But whos is it? Did you guys see the godzilla trailer with a dead worm like kaiju? Could that be the Skelton? Could it be TALAGHAN??? or even a MOTHRA LARVA?? What if talaghan is the mother or the mutos? Or the mutos fed off a mothra larva? And that is why mothra is in godzilla 2?

AdminGodzillaMar-08-2015 11:51 AMThe skeleton in the film was another Godzilla, confirmed by the Blu-Ray/DVD special features. The dead kaiju in the proof-of-concept trailer has nothing to do with future Godzilla movies.

MemberTitanosaurusMar-08-2015 11:57 AMThough, it COULD be used again down the line. Maybe not as a full-on monster to fight, but as a sort of "aftermath scene" to showcase just what another appearing monster could do.
Sorta like the appearance of the Kamoebas in Godzilla Tokyo S.O.S.

AdminGodzillaMar-08-2015 11:58 AM^I think they'd just redo an entire scene in that case instead of using stock footage from a concept video.

MemberTitanosaurusMar-08-2015 12:03 PMWell, obviously not use the footage itself. But perhaps re-create the look of the original concept footage, re-work it to suit the needs of the next film.

what if it is visnhu? They confirmed that it is visnhu in the trailer and the body matches the skeleton in the movie and theyr are resemblances to mutos

AdminGodzillaMar-08-2015 12:14 PMWhen did they ever confirm it was Vishnu? Some fans just called it that because of the Oppenheimer speech. Man... I thought we were done with these conversations...

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-08-2015 2:29 PMThe dead monster in the trailer was just a concept that was thrown into the trailer to show that Godzilla was going to fight another monster before the M.U.T.O.s were fully designed. It has no official name, "Vishnu" and "Talaghan" are both just fan-made names. Gareth Edwards has said that the creature was never intended to appear in the film and was just a placeholder. That's it. And the skeleton in the beginning has been CONFIRMED to be another member of Godzilla's species. End of story.
