MemberTitanosaurusMar-03-2015 3:50 PMHello everybody and welcome to the first Scrappedathon review. the first film were going to be taking a look at is King Kong vs. Frankenstein a planned sequel to the original King Kong film.
Development: After the sucsess of King Kong in 1933 Willis O'Brien wrote a treatment for a sequel called King Kong vs. Frankenstein. the film was going to have King Kong fight a monster created by the grandson of Dr. Frankenstein. Unfortunately a man by the name of John Beck stole the treatment and had George Worthing Yates flesh out into a screenplay called King Kong vs. Prometheus. However John beck wasn't able to sell the screenplay to anyone in America so he sold it to Toho Studios, they replaced Frankenstein/Prometheus with their own monster Godzilla and so King Kong vs. Godzilla was created.
Plot: King Kong does battle with a monster created by the grandson of Dr. Frankenstein in San Francisco.
Opinion: I think that this would have been a very interesting movie to see. I would have liked to see why the Frankenstein's grandson made the monster and what he was going to use it for. There are a couple problems i've noticed in the film, the first one is how is King Kong still alive? was he broght back to life by Frankenstein's grandson or is it another one of his species? The other problem is where did Frankenstein's grandson get the parts to make the new monster? Besides those flaws I would have liked to have seen this movie, it's a shame that John Beck stole it for his own use.

MemberTitanosaurusMar-06-2015 7:45 PMIts a little difficult to explain but when ever I try to uplode the review it would take me to a screen where it said that I didn't have the abillaty to uplode any of my posts and it would log me out of my profile. The weirdest thing is that I tried uploding the Review three times and each time it wouldn't let me uplode it but I made another post to see if it would do it again but this time it uploded the post. I don't know if it's my computer or if the websites having problems but I hope it stops soon.

AdminGodzillaMar-06-2015 8:10 PMWhat do you mean "upload"? There's no text uploading option for the forum. Are you not simply copying and pasting the text to the text box?

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-03-2015 6:17 AMThis is the story I got from different sources.Kong is treated like the 1st film does not exist.Which is disrespectful to O`Brien`s own material.Kong is found on Skull Island.A billionaire hatches a plan to hire the Grandson of Victor Frankenstein to create a giant Gollum using the sewn together parts of various jungle animals.Elephants,Rhinos etc.The plan is to make a fortune selling tickets to a giant fight between the 2 in a coliseum in San Francisco. The fight gets out of control & spills out onto the streets.I have a King Kong v.s Frankenstein fan page on FB. https://www.facebook.com/King-Kong-vs-Frankenstein-245941768832544/
