Do you all miss the 2014? I sure do Miss waiting so anxiously for this film and I so cannot believe its becoming a year now, the first official teaser trailer is now over a year old and we are just a month and a half away from the 1 Year anniversary of the second trailer.

Oh man such fun memories dont like how fast time goes these days.

Been thinkin about doing something else since 2014 is now over but Im still doing Godzilla stuff cuz my obsession is just to strong for it.

We have two confirmed Godzilla movies on the way. (Possibly three if the 2018 movie is successful.) So there will be plenty more excitment to be had with both the series and the genre.

That said, no. I don't miss 2014. It was great, but I look forward to other great things in the next year regarding Godzilla.

Hopefully information about Toho's upcoming movie will start coming out to fill the void. I don't really think I'll miss 2014.

Besides the Godzilla 2014 movie, Goji's 60th, and Gfest, 2014 was an awful year for me. :/

However, I will miss the anticipation and speculation for the 2014 Godzilla movie. :)

It's a part of life, we have to move on. 2014 was ok, nothing out of the ordinary.

I wouldn't say I miss it but 2014 was an amazing year for me. My entire childhood came together, in one year I got a new Godzilla movie in theaters, a new Sonic the hedgehog cartoon, three pikmin short films, a new live action ninja turtles film, a smash bros game with pac-man, mega man, and duck hunt, so yeah 2014 was a great year for me (especially as a Godzilla fan) but I wouldn't say I miss it

Nope, its over, time to move on.  That said, it sure was a special year.  My excitement for Legendary's Godzilla cosumed my life for nearly half a year, and ever since it came out, I've found myself combating feelings that I have no right to enjoy it as much as I do.  This will go down as the year that my ability to love and enjoy kaiju movies was significantly damaged by allowing other opinions to conflict with my own philosophy of these films.  In addition, 2014 saw the end of another part of my childhood with the passing of Koichi Kawakita, one of my heroes.  But with his death, I've been confronted by the fact that a majority of fans appear to have little respect for his work in the Heisei series, sapping my appreciation for my favorite Godzilla era.  Hopefully, in the coming year, I can learn to recapture what 2014 has taken from me.

So yeah, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, 2014.

^Yep, too many of our generations of monster movie actors, directors, special effects gurus, are all passing away. Most of them still probably had 20+ years to go.

^Very true.  Kawakita-San was only 82.  And its particularly bizarre, because I met him only a few months before at G-FEST.  Lets pray that our older monster movie heroes continue to live long, healthy lives.
